Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Frenchfriesaredelicious. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Malcolm Collins (author), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Dylnuge (Talk • Edits) 19:21, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

Paid editing
[edit] As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Frenchfriesaredelicious, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Frenchfriesaredelicious|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 21:28, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
@Theroadislong: there is no paid editing... just making a page for another alumni.. I did contact them and ask them to upload photos.. but there is no financial transaction going on.Frenchfriesaredelicious (talk) 21:37, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
- There is however a conflict of interest. Theroadislong (talk) 21:38, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
@Theroadislong: I dont work for them, didnt attend school with them.. merely loosely affiliated through our common education.. I didnt think attending the same school proved to be such a conflict that it would need to be disclosed?Frenchfriesaredelicious (talk) 21:47, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
@Theroadislong:She worked for Thiel and he ran a VC.. they are in articles with Musk..I am surprised they dont have a page by another eager grad.. Frenchfriesaredelicious (talk) 21:48, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
AfC notification: Draft:Malcolm Collins (author) has a new comment
[edit]@Theroadislong: is there a reason the paid editing tag is back on the page and also is there a reason the article isnt being approved? Frenchfriesaredelicious (talk) 18:39, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- I have removed the tag, you only submitted the draft this morning, there are 4,483 pending submissions, please be patient. Theroadislong (talk) 18:52, 13 May 2023 (UTC)

That is impossible and even more impossible that you are claiming to know. As a programmer we dont use java and our network IP rotates through a vpn. Eff has my setup as a 1 in 9000. Frenchfriesaredelicious (talk) 04:21, 20 May 2023 (UTC)

We're not claiming to know for sure. We are just telling you what our software tells us, and then adding it to what we can see you doing. And where does this thing about Java suddenly come up? — Daniel Case (talk) 06:18, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
