Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Hi Franklomax!
We thank you for uploading Image:Blackie1966.jpg, but there is a problem. Your image is currently missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Unless you can help by adding a copyright tag, it may be deleted by an Administrator. If you know this information, then we urge you to add a copyright tag to the image description page. We apologize for this, but all images must confirm to policy on Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

Spam

[edit]

Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Again?

[edit]

Please don't just add links to websites you like. We're here to write an encyclopedia - not to promote your favorite website. Vsmith (talk) 02:11, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 month for adding spam links. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia and potentially penalized by search engines. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  - Barek (talkcontribs) - 04:59, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your block

[edit]
  • Frank, I don't know you but it is clear to me that you don't comprehend basic Wikipedia policy. I see you are a fairly infrequent editor, so it is understandable, but you have got to comply with the rules of the place. It's important to stop reverting people and start discussing on the article talkpages why it is you believe these links are not spam. If you don't prevail, roll with it and live to edit another day. Since this is your first block, I suggest you appeal (links are in the block notice) in a few days after doing some research on the rules including WP:3RR. Demonstrate you understand the policy and express some contrition, and the admin may unblock you early. In any case, best wishes, Jusdafax 05:41, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Bronze statue of Blackie the Horse.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Stop icon This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Bronze statue of Blackie the Horse.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. Kelly hi! 10:56, 24 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
