Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ghetto Concept, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Ironside and Infinite (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). RE: Babel

[edit]

Per WP:INFOBOXREF, references in the infobox aren't needed for material cited in the article itself. All the genres--Folk rock, nu-folk, pop--were cited in the article's critical reception section. The Rolling Stone review you cited to support your addition of "folk" and "English folk" is original research--the source doesn't say it is a folk or English folk album or that its music is either of those styles. Instead, the review says two songs on the album ("Lovers Eyes" and "Broken Crown") have "more British folk elements", or that the songs "lean toward the hooky folkfest stomps". It is original research if you use sources to advance a position not directly and explicitly supported by the source. Furthermore, concerns over the infobox genres in this article have been discussed at length at the article's talk page, so please do not restore your changes before getting a consensus to do so. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 04:21, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I have replied to your question on the article talkpage, but I thought I should tell you something about your signature. Normally very elaborate and high contrast colours are discouraged when visible to other readers, but you can make your signature highly visible to yourself. It is all explained at WP:SIG#CustomSig. New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:VIDEOLINK Linking to such sites is often discouraged due to misuse. The link you posted is a copyright violation as it was not uploaded by the owner WWE. Linking to online videos can be acceptable if it is demonstrated that the content was posted by the copyright holder or with their permission. Videos of newscasts, television shows, films, music videos, advertisements, etc. should be considered to be copyright violations if not obviously uploaded by the copyright holder. Editors must not link to copyright violations. Linking to a page that illegally distributes someone else's work sheds a bad light on Wikipedia and its editors, and the decision to provide such a link may constitute contributory copyright infringement. Chris "WarMachineWildThing" Talk to me 09:32, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The new site you used for reference is a Non reliable source per WP:PW, the linked site also never refers to it as Orange Crush. Chris "WarMachineWildThing" Talk to me 04:08, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Has that site been deemed unnotable? Either way, you're edit waring. I was would advise you to stop. I've done my due diligence in finding sources. All you did was link me to the wrestling WikiProject. That didn't help your case in actually proving if it is unnotable. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 00:25, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you would read the source I removed, you would see that it says nothing about the "Orange Crush". So, I removed it because it had nothing to do with the move name. So, don't re-add it. (talk page stalker) CrashUnderride 18:16, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

STOP adding the itech.com reference. It does not mention the name "Orange Crush" anywhere in it!!! (talk page stalker) CrashUnderride 18:52, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If you can't tell where I placed that reference than you obviously can't tell I referenced what the move actually is as that article said what the move actually is. What you are doing is edit waring. You are close to be reported. Anymore edit waring and you will be. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 18:57, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

NWA Canadian Heavyweight Championship

[edit]

Well first of all thank you for the nice display of hostility and uncivility on my talk page, makes for quite a first impression. Secondly, behind the hostility and slams there is also the wrong assumption that I "didn't complete the info box", I didn't even touch it - So I am not even sure what in the world you are talking about. The only things I've done to that article is 1) complete the table format so it does not look messed up (which was like November) and then added two sources recently, both in an attempt to make the article better, what have you done for it? So I invite you to dismount your high horse, learn to read and can the poor attitude please.  MPJ-DK  19:12, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You know for someone so invested in that article that you go off on someone like that you really haven't done a dang thing for the article in forever. Like anything past 2012 when it ceased being sanctioned by the NWA is not in the article at all. I updated the table because I'm working on bringing all championship tables up to the current format and to show that perhaps article improvement should be YOUR focus too.  MPJ-DK  02:39, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits and Christian Wikipedians

[edit]

Hi Fishhead2100, thanks for your edits to my Bambi Hall Wikpedia page, I call it that because I created it. I see on user page the word Christian Wikipedians, are you a Christian? I am somewhat religious myself (I need more bible study thought) and I am very interested in the study of the bible. Davidgoodheart (talk) 06:12, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your right

[edit]

Hi Fishhead2100, I have moved The Twin Towers to other part of list since I only revived it, I won't argue with you on that one. I believe that Christians should follow the bible rules, some Christians at my church live common law and have had children out of wedlock, which are both sins as they should not be doing this. Do you agree? Davidgoodheart (talk) 19:33, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a forum for religious disucssion. But I'll say this and it's done that you are looking down on people for their choices. Common is by legal definition marriage. Don't cast the first stone unless you are perfect. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 19:43, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fishhead2010, I have changed the "career highlights" heading to "career". Also a YouTube may be a reliable source sometimes depending on what it is. Fishhead, I hope you will consider adjusting the colors (and the brightness/contrast) in your signature: I can't read it, and can only figure out who it is by hovering over it. Stop being disruptive

[edit]

You're literally removing content as I'm working on it for no reason but because you're offended that I disagree with you.★Trekker (talk) 22:12, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've not removed anything. I've simply placed it in the appropriate spot. You don't need a section for every promotion an independent wrestler has worked a match for. You're assuming I'm offended. To assume is to make an ass out you and me. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 22:15, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Funny how you seem to think for some reason that the CWE section is too short for a header but that the early career deserves one despite only having one line. The "independent circut" section makes no sense since all he ever has done is be on the independent circut. You're making an ass of yourself all on your own by being obviously and blatantly combative becuse you've had issues with me before. You can try to pretend all you want but really you're edit warring with me becuse you feel mad that I've reverted you.★Trekker (talk) 22:28, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you keep spamming your long outdated comments on my tapgage instead of replying to my points about your edits?★Trekker (talk) 22:47, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You want people to leave you alone, but you seemingly think threatening people will help achieve that. You want people to not talk to you, but you won't stop talking to them. Ironic and hypocritical isn't it? Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 22:57, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'm willing to discuss things if there is actually something to be said, so far you have said nothing of value, just disrupting me when I have been trying to improve an article. You don't even follow your own logic like I have pointed out.★Trekker (talk) 22:59, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Only warning

[edit]

If you keep restoring your message to User talk:*Treker I will block you immediately. I don't care what your issue is with them, you are well beyond WP:3rr and it's outright harassment at this point. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:47, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fine, but threatening people is not cool ether. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 22:54, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It certainly won't deescalate the issue. This is the key in these situations.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:01, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Giving you a warning about the fact that you may be blocked if you keep harassing someone is not a threat. Instead of repeatedly adding back the comment over and over how about we actually talk about the issue, you just keep trying to turn this into me being imature when the fact is that you have been acting way worse.★Trekker (talk) 22:58, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I was warned by an admin. But you seemingly can't move on. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 23:02, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Move on? I've improved the article like I wanted to and am pretty happy with that but you have done nothing to even show that you realized that what you did was wrong. You keep trying to make this about how I'm doing something wrong but all you seem to be acomplishing is accidentally playing the victim for an audience of no-one but yourself. When did anyone "threaten" you exactly when it wasn't waranted by your own behaviour? You're replying to me just as much as I'm replying to you and with all those replies you havn't even attempted to counter any of my arguments about how your logic doens't coincide with your edits very much. I don't want to be unfriendly with you but I also expect people to show enough courtesy to try to act by their own standards.
You were right the last time we argued, I've admited that back when it happened but now you seem to be angry with me and acting out just becuse you thougth I was slow about adding my content, and then when I was in the process of doing that you kept interupting me still instead of just maybe waiting for me to be done. I enjoy working like that, no one else so far has had a big issue with it, I regularly add sources before I fill out a section like I said in my edit summary the first time you contacted me. The fact that you contradict yourself about the size of sections under headers makes it seem to me at least that you are doing this becuse you want to "win" this argument and get back at me for last time when I acted wrongly. I'm not ok with that. I said I was sorry the then when I was uncivil against you and later admited you were correct. I don't want anything more than for you to just realized that what you have done so far really looks like in my eyes that you have been attacking me because you have a vendetta or something. I apologize for last time but repeatedly re-adding your old comment to my talk page when we were already having a conversation on your talkpage doens't make you look any better than what I looked when I used foul language agaisnt you a while back, and since you have been on wikipdia for a long while I expect you to see that. Again, I don't want to be on bad terms with anyone, let alone a fellow wrestling fan and project editor but I get the feeling you have chosen to be angry and acted out at me because of when I was a dick a couple of days ago.
I hope we can leave this behind us and not hold grudges.★Trekker (talk) 23:45, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not mad about anything. I never said that you didn't add anything to the article. I was simply moving it to another spot within the article. You got pissy about that. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 23:50, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not going to even acknowledge the harassment or any of the other stuff huh? Why even try.★Trekker (talk) 23:59, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It goes both ways. Now look who is harassing who. You wanted me to not talk to you, but are still talking to me. See the irony? Would it soothe your ego if I acknowledge it? Would it help you sleep better tonight if I acknowledge it? Harassing someone to acknowledge something makes you no better. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 00:23, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Also, if you gave me time and let me think about it, I would have came to you and made things right. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 01:28, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ponyo, please see above: I asked this user to change their signature; it does not comply with our accessibility guidelines, which I believe to be a bit more strong than the regular MOS guidelines. Can you try and talk sense into them? Thanks, Drmies (talk) 22:47, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Rush edit

[edit]

Hi there, I noticed you made this edit about Geddy Lee's brief departure from Rush in 1969. Is this sourced in the body? I don't see it in the History section. Please add a reputable source and consider mentioning it in the History section as well. Thanks. Tonystewart14 (talk) 03:28, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at the History of Rush article, it does say that he was asked to leave in May 1969 before rejoining the band in September 1969. That article covers the history of the band. I will admit that the history of Rush of article could use lot more sources. Here are two sources I found. [1] [2] Joe Perna did replace Geddy Lee when they were known as Hadrian. The first source says Perna replaced him in May 1969. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 04:00, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I see you added those sources in the main article, so thanks for that. I'm curious if the History article should be deleted, as it's sparsely sourced (especially for one technically a BLP) and probably unnecessary. I see other bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Journey don't have separate history pages, and the reason this one does is because of a 2006 FAC, a review process which has of course come quite a ways since then. I'd be interested in your thoughts on this. Tonystewart14 (talk) 20:00, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Unless you are willing to parse the information down so that it doesn't clog up the main article, than by all means go for it. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 20:38, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and nominated it here. The main article already has plenty of content. I noticed it was already nominated in 2008, but enough time has passed that it could be reconsidered. I got one vote to keep right away, so if you like you could comment on that page yourself with any further arguments. Tonystewart14 (talk) 21:56, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I left a comment which is basically the same as my previous comment about moving information to the main article. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 22:36, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
FWIW, I made a backup in my sandbox in case we want to merge content from the History article. My assumption is that the History article is too old and the current one would be a better platform for improvements, although it probably merits a comparison. Tonystewart14 (talk) 22:40, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It is best to have a backup. Look at the reply to my comment on the deletion debate. I also made other replies in the debate as well. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 00:08, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Just FYI, the History page was redirected to the History section of the main article, and I have an archive of the separate page here. Tonystewart14 (talk) 04:47, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. Good to know. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 15:21, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

69th Emmys

[edit]

Now SNL is listed as having 5 and as having 7 ...? Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 02:14, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I double checked and it is seven. I didn't notice it was listed as five. I removed it was nominated five times. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 02:20, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, looks good. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 02:23, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

WCCW championships

[edit]

Precedent has been established at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/WCWC Legacy Championship to redirect championships to West Coast Wrestling Connection. The two championships I redirected are no more independently notable than this one. At least I merged the info into the main page. Nikki311 03:24, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That was only one title. One title doesn't speak for the others. Don't bitch at me for not moving the Legacy Championship over. The nominator should have done it. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 05:52, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
First, I didn't "bitch" at you, and I didn't imply that it was your job to move the list. I was merrily pointing out that the championship lists I moved were preserved...it wasn't like I deleted them completely. They should stay merged until they are proven independently notable (which you have not done) and then can be split up again. However, if one championship for this company was deemed not independently notable, then there is a high likelihood that the others would be, too. Actually, the company itself has a notability tag on it, so they might all just end up getting deleted anyway. Nikki311 06:17, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The way you stated merging title information into the main WCWC article did come off condescending. Whether you meant to come off that way, I don't know, but you did. But I digress. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 06:32, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Bambi Hall picture

[edit]

Hi Fishhead2010, I took that picture of Bambi Hall myself and put in on her Wikipedia page with her consent. What is the process that I need to go trough to keep it on there? Davidgoodheart (talk) 02:39, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate categorization

[edit]

I applaud your efforts to get the "20th-century [Nationality] musicians" categories more fully populated, but please don't add the century-musicians category to a person who's already in that same category's century-singers subcategory — it represents duplicate categorization, because singers is already a subcategory of musicians. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 17:22, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Some singers don't play instruments. It's not duplicate categorization. Singing and playing an instrument are similar as a voice is an instrument, but not the same at the same time. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 17:28, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that a person doesn't just sing, but also plays an instrument, does not change the fact that the singers category is in the musicians category already. If you want them to be categorized as both a 21st-century singer and a 21st-century player of instruments, then the way to do that is to create the appropriate subcategories for the appropriate instruments, not to double-file them in both the singers category and its parent category. Bearcat (talk) 17:36, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That's something I've considered. But you can further categorize them by genre. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 18:15, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
