Moose

[edit]

Sorry this dropped off the help page. I wasn't paying attention for a bit. Yes, that is probably enough, but I'm not quite sure what the resultant pages should look like. Let me know if you see this, I'd like to work with you on this.Naraht (talk) 14:25, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good Morning! Yes, I see the note. Fezland (talk) 15:39, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My grandfather was a Moose, and my grandmother in WotM. I can't look at the source from here at work. The question is whether this affects the umbrella group that includes both men and women, or the group that was men only, or something else. (the current article seems to merge the men's group and the umbrella)Naraht (talk) 18:18, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Its a bit more convoluted. The Loyal Order Of Moose (LOOM) now includes ladies. They dropped the name Loyal Order and is now called THE MOOSE FRATERNITY. Ladies like the men now have the Ability to vote and run for office with in the Fraternity. Moose International has always been our home office where we call for support, questions and the like. The WOTM, have always had degrees they earn just like men members. That side is still a Men side and Women side. They didn't have a way to dissolve/merge the degrees without ruffling a lot of feathers, so they kept it separate, at least for now. Fezland (talk) 18:27, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So what is the "Men side" called?Naraht (talk) 12:59, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Moose Fraternity. Its all called the Moose Fraternity Fezland (talk) 16:42, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"women's side" is WOTM. does the men's side have separate name *under* the Moose Fraternity? Sorry if I'm not understanding. :(Naraht (talk) 17:51, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So the entire organization is now The Moose Fraternity. Within the Moose Fraternity the Moose Legion Exists. It is a Higher Degree that can be earned by the male members. The ladies can choose to join the WOTM and if they choose, can earn respective degrees within the WOTM. However, it is not mandatory for ladies as it once was to join the WOTM to have access to the lodge. Since the One Moose initiative passed in 2021, women can join the Moose and have access to the lodge and fraternity privileges without having to be a part of a Chapter just as men can join the Moose without joining the Moose Legion Degree of Service and being a part of a Moose Legion Unit. The Moose Fraternity encompasses both men and women now. Once you join you can opt to join the respective Higher Degree sides based on gender. Fezland (talk) 18:20, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
