[edit]I don't think stating your usual IPs in your user page is helpful to avoid confusion. You should always login to this account while signing your own comment. -- Sameboat - 同舟 (talk) 02:12, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
- Sameboat - 同舟, I think you might have misunderstood something. Those were last two IP addresses I've used before creating an account. In fact, I don't have any usual IP address, because DHCP server assigns a new random IP address every now and then to my connection. After creating the account I remain signed. Please try to avoid feeding the trolls Suggestion
[edit]Hi, Feon. I understand that you're a newbie so, just as a heads up, it's best no to encourage disruptive IPs[1] (where EvergreenFir had already cut it short) +[2], or any new accounts that are obviously single purpose. You only need to check their contributions in order to figure it out. It's standard practice to simply ignore such messages left on talk pages. I realise that the Ukraine talk page has more traffic than usual, so it can be difficult to determine what merits discussion, but all of the issues as to how the disputed territory should be depicted had already been discussed (if you check the sections above the RfC, you'll find it all).
You'll get the hang of things with more experience. Cheers! --Iryna Harpy (talk) 01:00, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, Iryna Harpy! I just wanted to kindly explain to them why is there no need to change the map as the current map is the most neutral. :) Feon {t/c} 09:06, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
- That's fine, Feon. I've unintentionally fed so many trolls in my time that I'd be embarrassed if someone were keeping score.
- As I've noted, I just wanted to give you a heads up on checking IP contributions before responding. All of the Eastern European articles act as a magnet for one type of nationalist or another. When you're starting out, checking all user pages and talk pages (as well as their contributions) is useful just to get a sense of who's been around for a long time, POV prejudices they might have, or even if they've simply opened an account to look legitimate. After a while, you'll recognise the regular contributors and get a sense of whose input you can trust (even if you don't necessarily agree with them) and who is disruptive, etc.
- I hope you stay around and become a regular. We need as many good faith, quality contributors as we can get. Happy editing! --Iryna Harpy (talk) 22:29, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 4
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Workers' Front (Croatia), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page HRT. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Micronations in Croatia
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Micronations in Croatia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read!
