I have moved this page back

[edit]

Hi. You moved this talk page to Farwah khan, but that is not the place for it, because that is an article in the actual encyclopedia. So I have moved it back here. Improvments needed at Nadia Khan Show

[edit]

Greetings, please do not remove the cleanup tags like "Notability" and "Link Rot" unless you actually fix the problems mentioned in the tags. All removing them does is make it harder for the article to be improved, and also makes readers disregard the article if it has problems that nobody appears to be working on.

You asked for advice about improving the article, but instead of taking the advice (which would avoid the cleanup issue) you decided to publish on your own anyway, so now you have an article that still needs improvement despite being published. Please read what it says in the tags, and follow the links to the guidelines which explain what needs to be fixed.

Also, please remember to use the WP:Edit summary each time you save, as right now the History of the page shows no explanations for your edits, while those of us trying to help have clearly-explained summaries. MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:53, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Improper license on image

[edit]

Greetings, I have marked both your images as Wikimedia copyright violations. You have posted images from a private company, and claimed them as "public domain" without any evidence of such. Wiki takes copyright very seriously, so we don't just turn a blind eye to mislabeling of licenses. So both the images in the article should shortly be deleted.

However, if you want to have an upload of one logo or title shot for the intro of the article (probably best in the infobox), you can do so in a totally legal manner under the rules of WP:Fair use. So we aren't saying that you can't have a logo in the article (as many such articles do), we're saying that you can't just upload things and make up licenses for them. You need to pick one logo per page (so one for this show), and use the "Upload" tool in the left margin of the Wiki screen, and when it asks what you're uploading it under, pick "Fair use", and go through the steps to choose the Fair Use details for a logo. It takes a little practise to learn, but takes about 3 to 5 minutes once you get used to it.

Again, folks here are happy to help you, and there are totally proper ways to do the things you're trying to do with the article, and everyone agrees that Wiki takes a little practise to get right. So we're not doing this to "attack" your article or work, just asking that you move slowly, and communicate with other editors so we can help you get things right the first time to avoid frustration. MatthewVanitas (talk) 17:03, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You might find it extremely helpful to read Wikipedia:WikiProject Television/Style guidelines, which lays out the standard format, and best practises as to how to write an article about a television program. MatthewVanitas (talk) 19:20, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop and listen to the advice you're getting

[edit]

stop Farwah, you've asked for advice, people are giving you advice, and you're ignoring it, and not responding to anyone. Please show some courtesy and respond to people who are trying to help you.

I advised you as to why the logo was deleted, and how to avoid that by using Fair Use, and you ignored me and uploaded File:Nadia khan Show 2012.jpg, which is also about to be deleted because you didn't upload it as Fair Use.

You also removed tags from the top despite not fixing the problem, and you are not using WP:Edit summaries so we have a hard time telling what changes you're making. You have people willing to help you, you just need to step back a minute, take a deep breath, and figure out what is working and what is not so far. You wouldn't be having these issues if you'd stayed in Draft mode until it was ready, but you skipped drafting, skipped the AFC Review process, and now you're finding yourself having trouble keeping the article together.

If you want to communicate, that'd be great. Hit up my Talkpage, or post a new entry at the Teahouse stating where you need help. If you continue to make unproductive edits, mislabeled image uploads, and ignore other editors, you may find the article deleted and your account locked, so instead let's just slow the pace down, read the advice given so far, and talk it out. MatthewVanitas (talk) 19:13, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I see you are continuing to add edits without any edit summary, are not responding to any other editors, and have not asked for help at any of the many resources suggested to you, and have still not applied any WP:Reliable sources to your article.
If you don't fix that situation, I'll request a block, and remove any uncited material from the article. I hate to be direct, but you simply are refusing to cooperate with the Wikipedia community. Please feel free to communicate on my Talk page if you'd like some help in bringing your article into line with established standards. MatthewVanitas (talk) 01:25, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nadia Khan Show, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Zong and Amanat Ali (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]

Farwah khan, Wikipedia is a collaborative editing environment. Myself and other editors are making changes to Nadia Khan Show to make the page fall in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. For example, blogs are almost never reliable sources, and so can't be cited like you did. Additionally, much of your prose does not conform to standard written English grammar and encyclopedic style. I'm happy to work with you to help, but if you just keep reverting what other editors do, you're very likely going to be blocked from editing. Please post a message here or on Talk:Nadia Khan Show so that we can discuss these issues. Qwyrxian (talk) 08:08, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, since you've now admitted that you work with Nadia Khan, you should probably stop editing the article entirely. We strongly discourage editors from directly editors articles on which they have a conflict of interest; your editing is exactly the reason why do so. Because of your personal knowledge and primary connection to the subject, you're finding yourself unable to follow our policies and guidelines. As I mentioned, blogs are not reliable sources. It doesn't matter that you know that those segments are correct--we must have a reliable source to verify the information. And, even if we did, we still probably wouldn't include the information. Our job is not to list every single detail about a subject--only those of sufficient weight to belong in an encyclopedia article. I strongly request that you stop editing the article for the moment, and, instead, discuss the changes you'd like to see on the article's talk page. Otherwise, I think it extremely likely you're going to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Qwyrxian (talk) 08:45, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Since you're refusing to cooperate, I will now request that you be blocked. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:02, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Greetings,

  • Yet again, please provide WP:Edit summaries each time you edit. Also, they are for explaining what changes you've made, not defensive arguments like this it campain and (i am currently working with nadia khan show and i know all information about this show .. these are the segments in nadia khan show.
  • You do not "own" this article; it does not matter if you work on the show or not. Anything you add must be supported by WP:Reliable sources or it will be removed.
  • Please stop adding links to the webpages for each episode; the article clearly indicates the website for the show, so readers know where they can go to find more info. Footnotes are used for WP:Verifying facts, not just linking to shows.
  • You still need better evidence of WP:Notability of the show; I don't doubt it's notable, but if you value the article you should take the time to give it proper sourcing.
  • Please use Talk pages to respond to other people; if you want to be on Wikipedia, you need to interact with other editors, not just pursue your own course regardless.

Please bear these recommendations in mind; we are all here trying to build a better encyclopedia, so if you feel conflict it's because your actions are not productive, not because anyone is against having a page for the Show. MatthewVanitas (talk) 18:36, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Nadia Khan.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nadia Khan.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 18:53, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Khan pic question

[edit]

Hi

http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:Nadia_Khan.jpg

It is not usual to remove maintenance templates - removing them does not remove the opened deletion discussion - what is going on with this picture - it says Khan is the copyright holder? Are you the owner of the copyrights to this picture or do you have permission of the copyright owner to release it under a specific CC license? Youreallycan 17:59, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

For your information, I have marked this has having no evidence of permission. If you want this to be kept, then you should follow the instructions at Template:Di-no permission-notice. --Stefan2 (talk) 20:05, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Block note

[edit]

Just so you know, removing the notice doesn't change the block...and that if you repeat the same behavior after you are unblocked, I will reblock you for longer. Copyright matters on WP. If you have questions, feel free to ask. But, in your case, the basic idea is pretty simple: taking a screenshot of a TV show does not change the fact that the show is still copyrighted. Similarly, Taking a picture off of another website will never change the original copyright status. Finally, you can't trick us by first uploading it to your flickr account and claiming its CC-BY-SA, because it's very easy to spot the difference between a promotional shot and one taken by a random person. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
