Week 8 / Add Citations to 2 Articles / JS11323
In this week, I found two articles, first one is "Disability", and second one is "Social Exclusion". For the first one, I add a sentence about the number of disability in the world's population. And next one I add a sentence about the concept of social exclusion. Here is the link of "Disability": https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Disability. Here is the difference between revisions: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Disability&type=revision&diff=986233218&oldid=986049148. And here is the link of "Social Exclusion": https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Social_exclusion. Here is the difference between revisions: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Social_exclusion&type=revision&diff=986234865&oldid=984028764. This is a little bit hard for me to find a citation, since my citations have been reverted several times, but I will try my best. --Js11323 (talk) 16:40, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

Week 6 / Add a Citation and Contribute to One Article / Bbbzhu
This week the article I edited is about online video analytics. Here's the difference link. During the finding of the article process, I learned that WikiProjects is a good place to go to. I could look up the grid to find low or mid importance articles with start or stub class quality, which needs more work on content improvement and reference to reliable sources. Then I could start with researching topics I am familiar with, and then find reliable sources to fill the knowledge gap. --Bbbzhu (talk) 03:18, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Bbbzhu, Nice addition. Current. FULBERT (talk) 02:20, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
Week 7 / Contribute to One More Article/ Bbbzhu
This week I edited the cloud gaming Wiki page. Here's the difference link. I found that it is more satisfying to try to find a topic that I'm interested in. Already have some knowledge on the topic gives me a huge advantage so that I won't need to start reading about the most basics to understand it for research. Some of the content on the Wiki page can be old and out dated especially in the internet and technology areas. We as editors can do a lot to help keep those pages current. --Bbbzhu (talk) 03:58, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Bbbzhu, I agree completely with your assessment that it is easier to edit articles you have an interest in. Current. FULBERT (talk) 02:21, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
Week7 / Contribute to One More Article / Muzizimu
I added in some information about a artist called Giorgio Vasari for this week. Here is the link to difference: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=History_of_art_criticism&type=revision&diff=985676181&oldid=984303002 I learned to use a different library source to find more high quality resources which helps me a lot on my paper. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muzizimu (talk • contribs) 08:37, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi! In week 8, I cite two articles, first one is a game called Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, second one is about cyberbullying
In the first article, I point out the recent big updates for that game that haven't mentioned before, here is diff link. In the second article I mentioned that cyberbullying can be determined by morden computer techniques, because no one talked about it. Here is the diff link.
Thanks! CaptainJoseph (talk) 23:06, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Week7 / Contribute to One More Article / Ywrhea
1.Summary: Gustave Le Bon illustrated how individuals are influenced by the ideas and emotions spread by the crowd. When people have the same psychological appeal, it is possible to form a group. When individuals form a group, they will have the psychological characteristics of mental decline, impulsiveness, and self-confidence. I changed three references to this article. Since this is an introduction to Gustave Le Bon's theory, the original text written by Gustave Le Bon will be more convincing than quoting others' summary of his theory. Therefore, I use the original sources rather than secondary sources in this article.
2.The link to difference is https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/985326335
3. After this process, I think crowd psychology is a complex system theory, and its knowledge is very important for senior managers. Even for ordinary people, we have to be a little wary of public opinion in our daily lives, because public opinion does not always represent rationality, and sometimes it may be irresponsible. Ywrhea (talk) 09:31, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- Ywrhea, Beyond adding a citation alone, make sure to provide a sentence or two to express your contribution in context (which the citation will support) to demonstrate how it adds to the knowledge in the article. Citations alone do not add value. Please add a sentence or two to explain what the citation adds and the ping me again here when done. FULBERT (talk) 19:31, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- FULBERT,I have added one more sentence to it, please check. The link of new difference is https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/986380790.Ywrhea (talk) 14:06, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
- Ywrhea, OK; nice additions. Current. FULBERT (talk) 00:53, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Week 8/ Add Citations to 2 Articles/ Ywrhea
1. I add different citations to the two articles. The first one analyzes the determinants of divestiture at specific industry and company level, the financial and organizational impact of divestiture, and then summarizes the integration of decentralized divestiture knowledge. The second one mainly discusses the long-term performance of divestiture and equity divestiture, and finds that the choice of divestiture method has an important impact on the long-term performance after divestiture. 2. Link to differences are (1) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special :MobileDiff/986556414 (2) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special :MobileDiff/986558092 3. I am surprised to find that even for academic topics, sometimes the completion of corresponding articles on Wikipedia is relatively poor. There are no corresponding references for many concepts and explanations. In addition, the arrangement of article structure is not reasonable. Therefore, we need to improve them with more literatures we have read. Ywrhea (talk) 16:39, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- Ywrhea, Please provide the diff per WP:DIFF to your change and then ping me here. I will then take a look at it and reply. FULBERT (talk) 00:54, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Citations alone do not add value. Please add a sentence or two to explain what the citation adds and the ping me again here when done. FULBERT (talk) 02:25, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Week 8/ Add Citations to 2 Articles/ 八路军被服厂李厂长
This week I edited two articles with two high quality references.
The link of difference to the first article: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Financial_technology&type=revision&diff=986089775&oldid=986082072 In this article, I've added a sentence to explain blockchain's main feature to make the logic much more smoothly.
The link of difference to the second article:https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Cryptocurrency&type=revision&diff=986091695&oldid=985711351 In this article, I found the token section gives misunderstanding about token and cryptocurrency, so I explained the differences among those two terms with a high-quality resources.
In this week, one of my edit was revert and it talks about I had violate the wiki copy-right policy, and funny thing is I don't even know how's that considered as plagiarism, if I write in my own words and labeled citations. Got me confused lol :)--八路军被服厂李厂长 (talk) 19:04, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Week 9/ Add Citations to 2 Articles/ 八路军被服厂李厂长
The first article is called Too big to fail, which indicates the banks and financial institutions are controlling too much of the financial assets that can't closed and bankrupt. This situation have become concern for regulatory agency after 2008 financial crisis. In this article, the section when its talk about the deposit banking before and at the time of crisis, but not talking about what the banks learned after crisis. So I used one of my high-quality journal to support my edits. The link to the difference page. https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Too_big_to_fail&type=revision&diff=987254074&oldid=984425897
The second article is about Mobile commerce, this was one of keyword showed in my peer-view reference. It was talking about the history of the mobile financial activities. In the history section, the latest information about mobile commerce stopped at 2012, so I ve added one paragraph that explain the current market of mobile commerce and expectation for this business. Here is the link to the difference page https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Mobile_commerce&type=revision&diff=987259330&oldid=978218823
In this week, I was short of articles that interest in. Then I was looking for the keywords, and luckily found two keywords that have articles. I believed with more narrow down on my literature review, I would find some interest points.--八路军被服厂李厂长 (talk) 22:33, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
- 八路军被服厂李厂长, The language is a little awkward in places, but good enough citations for our needs. Let another editor tweak them as the citations are fine. Current. FULBERT (talk) 22:05, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
Week 8/ Add Citations to 2 Articles/ 燕京赵大知识分子
This week I read an article about business informatics and another one about applied research. The motivation is from a movie I watched today about how advanced software and hardware systems in the future change the way businesses operate and eventually become monopolies based on superior algorithms. The movie also has scenes of applied research in a lab to solve issues for the company. I've noticed that a number of citations are missing for more "general term" articles, so it'd be helpful to find more sources.

- 燕京赵大知识分子, Both of the sentences you added to these two articles are somewhat confusing and vague. Can you take one more time with them both and clarify what you are adding from the two citations? FULBERT (talk) 18:37, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
- FULBERT, Please see these new changes. Hopefully they are clearer in meaning now. :) https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Applied_science&type=revision&diff=987263726&oldid=987120115, https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Business_informatics&type=revision&diff=987264457&oldid=987121341.

week6/adding a citation/Soymilkp20
I add a citation to a article of Genome Informatics. As i searching resources for the article, i find a book call <Human genome informatics : translating genes into health>. I think it is a really good sources. i add application to the article, which the original one did not have it. I think it is important to people to know what genome informatics can do for people or the meaning for studying it. I think if people want to know it they can read the book. I only cit a very little information, because it is really science stuff. I think i can only provide general information. But the book is valuable. Here is the differ:differ I think i learn that when you do the assignment, i actually learn more than i excepted. It is not only for people who could read the article, it is also for myself. Soymilkp20 (talk) 07:01, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
- Soymilkp20, The language is awkward in some places and it should be a top-level header, but good enough. Please have a diff to the edits themselves and not to the history next time. OK for now. Current. FULBERT (talk) 22:13, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
week7/adding a citation/Soymilkp20
For this week, I add a citation to <Demographics of China>. I notice that it did not mention that china open two-child policy. So, i find s peer reviewed article and add it to it. Here is the differ:differ What i learn is that when i add the citation---the link, it shows up (Check date values in: ) this red label. So i click help and find out that when you add the citation of the day that the article publish, you have to follow Wikipedia Manual of Style's guidance, and make sure that is a real date. Even though i use DOI to generate the citation it could still cause a problem. There are a lot of rules when you cit to make sure wiki sources are all rigorous academic articles. Soymilkp20 (talk) 08:19, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
- Soymilkp20, Still some awkward language, but ok. Please have the correct diff link in the next assignment. Current. FULBERT (talk) 22:15, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
week8/adding two citation/Soymilkp20
First article i add citation is <Baby hatch> I add to a section that there is no citation for the part Legal aspects of japan Here is the differ:differ Second article i am interested is <Automotive industry in China: Revision history> As i read the article i noticed that some one leave a note that Electric vehicles still want more new update. So i add a citation about China License plate control and what is that meaning to Electric vehicles. Here is the differ:differ What i learn is that if people want to make a change, we can start with the labels that indicate this section need citation or more quality sources. Soymilkp20 (talk) 15:20, 6 November 2020 (UTC)

week5/add a citation/Soymilkp20
I add a citation to a article of <Made in China> I add that citation because Made in China is more meaningful than before. Not only a label we see on a cloth/furniture/necessities. "Made in China 2025" is a plan is the future. Here is the differ:differ What i learn, so much stuff you can add but when you add have to be careful what is already written in the article. Soymilkp20 (talk) 15:54, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
- Soymilkp20, Nice addition. Current. FULBERT (talk) 22:21, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
week4/add a citation/Soymilkp20
I add a another citation for week 4. This article is about Women and smoking. I add this citation because there are more potential danger during pregnancy if women smoke. Here is the differ:differ I learn that when you read through the article, sometime you want to know more about the topic and you do more research on it. Soymilkp20 (talk) 16:48, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
