New Pages Patrol newsletter January 2023
Hello Extraordinary Writ,
- Backlog
The October drive reduced the backlog from 9,700 to an amazing 0! Congratulations to WaddlesJP13 who led with 2084 points. See this page for further details. The queue is steadily rising again and is approaching 2,000. It would be great if <2,000 were the “new normal”. Please continue to help out even if it's only for a few or even one patrol a day.
- 2022 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2022 cup for 28,302 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 80/day. There was one Gold Award (5000+ reviews), 11 Silver (2000+), 28 Iron (360+) and 39 more for the 100+ barnstar. Rosguill led again for the 4th year by clearing 49,294 redirects. For the full details see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone!
Minimum deletion time: The previous WP:NPP guideline was to wait 15 minutes before tagging for deletion (including draftification and WP:BLAR). Due to complaints, a consensus decided to raise the time to 1 hour. To illustrate this, very new pages in the feed are now highlighted in red. (As always, this is not applicable to attack pages, copyvios, vandalism, etc.)
New draftify script: In response to feedback from AFC, the The Move to Draft script now provides a choice of set messages that also link the creator to a new, friendly explanation page. The script also warns reviewers if the creator is probably still developing the article. The former script is no longer maintained. Please edit your edit your common.js or vector.js file from User:Evad37/MoveToDraft.js
to User:MPGuy2824/MoveToDraft.js
Redirects: Some of our redirect reviewers have reduced their activity and the backlog is up to 9,000+ (two months deep). If you are interested in this distinctly different task and need any help, see this guide, this checklist, and spend some time at WP:RFD.
Discussions with the WMF The PageTriage open letter signed by 444 users is bearing fruit. The Growth Team has assigned some software engineers to work on PageTriage, the software that powers the NewPagesFeed and the Page Curation toolbar. WMF has submitted dozens of patches in the last few weeks to modernize PageTriage's code, which will make it easier to write patches in the future. This work is helpful but is not very visible to the end user. For patches visible to the end user, volunteers such as Novem Linguae and MPGuy2824 have been writing patches for bug reports and feature requests. The Growth Team also had a video conference with the NPP coordinators to discuss revamping the landing pages that new users see.

Hello, Extraordinary Writ,
I'm not exactly sure about the pages you just restored but you have to remember to remove CSD, PROD or AFD tags from articles you restore or they just become subject to deletion again. Thanks and have a good Valentine's Day! Liz Read! Talk! 08:20, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks Liz—now dealt with. Usually User:SD0001/RFUD-helper takes care of that for me, but this time there were so many pages that I had to use Twinkle's batch-undelete, which I now realize doesn't remove deletion tags at all. Happy Valentine's Day to you too! Extraordinary Writ (talk) 08:33, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
Draft:Guta Moura Guedes
Hello, Extraordinary Writ, I am following instructions on the page "Creating Guta Moura Guedes". I have been working very hard on the page since you deleted it at 23:35 on 6 February 2023. When I published it I was expecting it to go to Draft Space and then I would get help from editors but it went live straight away. I totally agree with the comments made by UtherSRG on 6 Feb, I had relied far too heavily on pages written by the subject. I believe that I have now found far better references and have used encyclopedic language, with a greatly improve tone and voice. I feel RichardDehn (talk) 20:57, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry!! I think that it now has the feel of an article written from a neutral point of view. I can confirm that I do not know the subject and was prompted to write the article as I enjoyed reading her weekly articles (I have an interest in design and I am learning Portuguese). I was surprised when I went to look that she didn't have a wiki page. I have learned an awful lot in the last couple of weeks about the subject and creating wiki pages!! Thank you for your time. Richard Dehn RichardDehn (talk) 21:04, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hi RichardDehn. I didn't actually delete your page: I just deleted something called a "redirect", which got left behind when someone moved your page to draftspace. Your page is still at Draft:Guta Moura Guedes, where you've submitted it for review. Someone will eventually come along to review it, but this can take a while, so I'd just suggest being patient. (Sometimes pages are reviewed within a few days or even hours, but other times it can take as long as a few months.) Thanks for all your work on the draft, and let me know if you have any questions! Extraordinary Writ (talk) 21:31, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for the speedy reply!! I'll carry on working on it while I'm waiting. I might have to find another subject as I have got a bit addicted. I also read that "coding" staves of altzheimers!! Perhaps it's too late for me!! RichardDehn (talk) 21:37, 14 February 2023 (UTC)

Hey, Extraordinary Writ,
I hope you are doing well. I hope if you return to Wikipedia tonight, you could delete this PROD'd article. I would but I nominated the article for deletion so I am involved. The other admins that I know who review PRODs regularly usually are active 6-8 hours from now but I know you deal with PRODs so I thought I'd ask you in case you come back to Wikipedia to do some admin work tonight. Thanks! Or thanks to any talk-page stalker who comes across this message and handles this deletion. ;-) Liz Read! Talk! 03:10, 16 February 2023 (UTC)

Hey, Extraordinary Writ
Can you please check and guide who can approve these changes? Change TheEditorPro (talk) 04:31, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, TheEditorPro, and welcome to Wikipedia! Since I only speak English, I can only approve edits in the English-language Wikipedia, not the Hungarian one. It looks like the Hungarian Wikipedia has more than 20,000 unapproved pages, so there might be a long wait. If you need an urgent review, I think you can try leaving a message at hu:Wikipédia:Járőrök üzenőfala, which seems to be the patrollers' noticeboard. Hopefully this is helpful! Deleted Draft:Orbiting-particle system force that is pulled straight inwardly into infinity..
You already deleted this page once, per Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Orbiting-particle system force that is pulled straight inwardly into infinity. Since recreated by author. Delete and salt? Every interaction with user seems WP:NOTHERE and possibly WP:CIR. I don't want to speculate that they may have a medical issue or disability, but their answers often make no sense, much like the article. But it's either that or they are a blatant troll. See this one as an example, their only one not connected with this draft. Heiro 03:02, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- Looks like the deletion has already been taken care of. If you see any more disruption after your final warning, let me know and I'll just block. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 21:55, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- About the time of the above, I had offered one last warning/suggestion here. Figured, give them rope and lets see where they run. They disappeared for a few and then popped back up today with this expansion of their deleted nuttery they recreated yet again but in a sandbox and what is more worrying, they began posting their nuttery to article talkpages [1].
- And now blocked. Not sure whether it's deliberate disruption or just a competence issue, but I guess it doesn't really matter. Thanks for letting me know! Extraordinary Writ (talk) 04:38, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for handling all of that. And yeah, I'm still unsure if it was just disruption for disruptions sake or other "issues", but after a certain point it just don't matter, lol. Happy Mardi Gras! Heiro 06:17, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

Talk:Sesame Workshop funding sources
Thanks for restoring Talk:Sesame Workshop funding sources. I was thinking it would make sense to leave it in this state, since then the GA subpage Talk:Sesame Workshop funding sources/GA1 would have somewhere to live, but I see you converted it to a redirect. I'm really not sure how to resolve this -- I just posted a query to WT:GAN about this page and two similar ones. Would it make more sense to unredirect this, do you think? Or should the old GA be jammed into the article history of the merge target page? Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 01:28, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
- I think you're right, Mike Christie: the GA information wouldn't make any sense on the merge target page since it has its own GA/FA history. I've reverted, although the GA template still needs to be taken care of. Thanks so much for all the work you're doing with these old GAs! (And always remember: if you ever get tired of asking for help, there are a whole bunch of people who would be very happy to see you at WP:RFA...) Extraordinary Writ (talk) 01:51, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
- I appreciate the compliment...never say never, but I have no current plans to run. I'll add in the GA details to that page tomorrow when I'm less sleepy; thanks for reverting that. And I'll probably take the same approach with the two or three others like this, so I may be back to ask for a couple more undeletes. Thanks! Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 02:57, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
Could you also undelete Talk:Tropical Storm Norma (2005)? The GA subpage was Talk:Tropical Storm Norma (2005)/GA1 and the article is now merged to 2005 Pacific hurricane season. I'd like to get that GA re-attached to its talk page. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 10:30, 1 March 2023 (UTC)

Lettler's articles
Hi! So, weird situation this one. User:Lettler was originally blocked as a sockpuppet of User:HughD. However, they were later unblocked by ARBCOM as it was determined that they were not a sockpuppet and the ban was incorrectly done in the first place. I'm happy for Lettler there, though sadly it appears this incident is likely to have driven them from the project, as they haven't edited since except to add this to their userpage. Regardless, I've been going through their edit history and looking at what articles of theirs were deleted under G5 and requesting undeletion. For those you were involved in that would be these:
- Bill Healey (footballer)
- Cliff Edwards (footballer)
- David Edwards (footballer, born 1974)
- Rononia
- SS Angarstroy
Could you undelete these? Several of them (maybe all of them?) are probably just redirects, but it's hard for me to tell which from my end of things. SilverserenC 21:16, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
- These should all be restored now, Silver seren—thanks for letting me know. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 22:26, 4 March 2023 (UTC)

Draft:Vineet Kumar Chaudhary
Hii, I have added more than 10 reliable sources in this draft and better defined the artist's work. Is it worth to move mainspace? Let me know if you have any suggestions? Thanks in Advance ✨ Wiki97828 (talk) 15:40, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Wiki97828. It looks like you've successfully submitted the draft for review, so I'd just suggest waiting for a reviewer to take a look. Right now, most drafts are getting reviewed in three months or less, so since you've already been waiting for over a month, you probably won't have to wait for too much longer. (Apologies for the delay: there are thousands of drafts in the queue, so it takes a while for reviewers to get to them all!) As long as you don't have a conflict of interest, you are allowed to move the draft directly to mainspace, but I think waiting for a review is the best idea. Hope this helps! Regarding undisclosed payment tag on Vineet Kumar Chaudhary page
Respected Sir, I can't understand why this tag has been put on this page. In fact, before this page came to the mainspace, it has been discussed on the helpdesk that there is no direct relation with Chaudhary. I have prepared this page on the basis of a fan, I have seen his TV show, so I know a lot of information about his life. Please consider removing this tag. thank You Wiki97828 (talk) 08:42, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- Wiki97828, this should all be fixed now. I'm sorry you got caught up in all of this: Wikipedia has a lot of problems with undisclosed paid editing, so we have to be very careful when a new article looks a little suspicious. Cheers, Extraordinary Writ (talk) 04:01, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

Question from Joneskmea on User:Joneskmea (03:10, 19 March 2023)
I’m trying to make a page for my self as a community activist leader --Joneskmea (talk) 03:10, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, Joneskmea, and welcome to Wikipedia! Generally it's not a good idea to write an article about yourself: for one thing, most people don't meet our inclusion standards, which require that a person be discussed in detail by multiple trustworthy sources (e.g. newspapers, books, etc.) before we can have an article about them. If you think you meet that standard, you can read this page for information about how exactly to create a new article. If you don't, don't worry—there are plenty of other pages on Wikipedia that could use your help! Let me know if you have any questions. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 03:20, 19 March 2023 (UTC)

Newspapers.com
Hi. Okay, since Newspapers.com became part of the WP Library, and we now have to login through that, if I replace "www-newspapers-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/" with just "newspapers.com", that will solve this issue? I hadn't realized that it was a problem, or that the clip link that popped up on Newspapers.com had changed its format. But if I do that, it will be available for everyone to view? Oh, and thank you, btw, for making those correcdtions. Onel5969 TT me 01:08, 20 March 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Extraordinary Writ,
Thank you for your detection work on Shawn Teller. I just got so used to him relisting discussions that I really didn't have any suspicions about him, he became a regular NAC fixture on AFD pages. But he seems to have pushed the envelope this week with his AFD comments that got many editors' attention. But if I had seen his talk page, I would have considered a CIR block, I didn't suspect socking. I regularly report very active new editors who plunge into AFDs but I never thought of looking at our AFD helpers who have been around a year. I appreciate your sock detecting skills and will try to be more alert myself. Thanks again. Liz Read! Talk! 06:43, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks Liz. I thought it was a competence issue at first too, but the more I looked the more it just seemed like trolling, and the trail of breadcrumbs eventually led back to Architect 134, who's apparently been doing this for years. Sigh. (Imagine how much of his life he's wasted on these sorts of antics!) Thankfully sockpuppet closers seem to be fairly rare, so it's probably not something to worry about too much unless you see something that looks especially suspicious. Hope you're well! Question from Isaacwikihownerd (23:44, 6 April 2023)
Can I make a airplanes study --Isaacwikihownerd (talk) 23:44, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, Isaacwikihownerd, and welcome to Wikipedia! If you're asking whether you can edit articles about airplanes, the answer is yes: there are many aviation-related articles that could use your help. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 05:48, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
Articles for deletion/Pitchero
Hi, you closed this AfD as a No Consensus - can you provide some reasoning please? The comments by Cunard were made at the last minute and there was no opportunity to respond. Also, his reasoning is flat out wrong when he says that coverage of the app/website counts as coverage for the company - hence the separate sections in NCORP and my response quoting out guidelines to Ceilquiparle. HighKing++ 10:17, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- Happy to relist to give you a chance to reply to Cunard—usually we really don't like relisting for a fourth time, but in this case I guess it would be unfair not to let you respond. On the merits I didn't see a strong basis for discounting the keep !votes: there seems to be reasonable disagreement about the quality of the sources as well as whether to "cover the company and its products/services in the same article" if one or the other is notable. (I also think WP:MULTSOURCES is fairly clear that the Telegraph articles should be evaluated as one source rather than several.) But I'll let someone else close the AfD once my relist expires. Cheers, Extraordinary Writ (talk) 21:28, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. HighKing++ 20:58, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
Chola conquest of Thondaimandalam
Hi, I'm a history geek and was hoping to read the article Chola conquest of Thondaimandalam later. But it was deleted under G7. I asked the creator why they requested for a self deletion. But they don't seem to be very active and has not responded yet. Since you were the admin who deleted it, I wanted to know what was the problem in it. If the article was fine, would you mind undelete and move it to draftspace? Thilsebatti (talk) 00:41, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
- Sure, Thilsebatti—see Draft:Chola conquest of Thondaimandalam. The author's main concern seems to have been that the article had original research/synthesis issues, so you may want to address that if you're planning on moving it back to mainspace. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 01:01, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. The article looked so interesting on first glance despite I'm not having very much knowledge about Cholas and Pandyas. I will slowly try to fix the issues and move it back to mainspace. Thilsebatti (talk) 02:40, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

Deletion of Apani B Pge
Hi,
My page was deleted. I am a person of note and my videos on YouTube collectively have millions of views. I appear on many prominent music sites and in published books about hip hop. I am currently working on new projects and found it disturbing that my pge was one and I was considered not notable while I have less active male peers in indie hiphop whose pages remain untouched. Id like to have my page restored ASAP please! BlacksmithCompanies (talk) 17:13, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- BlacksmithCompanies, Done – as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored upon request.. See Apani B. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 17:34, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- @BlacksmithCompanies I have no keen interest in seeing your page deleted, so I won't be immediately listing it for further consideration at WP:AFD. However, the page as it currently stands appears non-compliant with several policies and guidelines regarding content on Wikipedia.
- The singer appears to be non-notable, according to Wikipedia guidelines. They appear to fail the criteria spelled out in both the general notability guidelines and the "Music"-specific notability guidelines. Without more signficant coverage of the artist in reliable sources - the article currently only has one citation, and it's to the blog site "Discogs" - there isn't enough to write a Wikipedia article with.
- I tried myself to find better sources and not delete the article, per WP:BEFORE. But I was unable to find significant coverage of the artist. If better sources aren't provided or the article isn't improved, it's likely to be put up for deletion again. PhotogenicScientist (talk) 17:52, 17 April 2023 (UTC)

Question from Gold Water Bottling & Non-Alcoholic Beverage Industry (14:19, 18 April 2023)
Hello I would like add my business on Wikipedia , how can I do It please? so that I can link it to my business profile . --Gold Water Bottling & Non-Alcoholic Beverage Industry (talk) 14:19, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! You can learn about creating a new article on this page. Pay special attention to the information about references and notability: a business can only have an article if reliable sources like books, newspapers, etc. have written about it in detail, so if your business hasn't received that sort of coverage, it unfortunately isn't eligible for a Wikipedia page. You'll also want to follow the instructions here for disclosing that you have a conflict of interest. By the way, Wikipedia has some very particular rules about usernames, and one of them is that a username can't just be the name of a business. If you don't want to be blocked for username issues, I'd recommend either submitting a rename request or creating a new account. Hope this helps—please let me know if you have any more questions! Question from Pramilach (14:25, 19 April 2023)
Hell, I have a query regarding my first article. Some one have suggested below comments.
This article uses bare URLs, which are uninformative and vulnerable to link rot. Please consider converting them to full citations to ensure the article remains verifiable and maintains a consistent citation style. Several templates and tools are available to assist in formatting, such as Reflinks (documentation), reFill (documentation) and Citation bot (documentation). (April 2023) (Learn how and when to remove this template message)
This article includes a list of general references, but it lacks sufficient corresponding inline citations. Please help to improve this article by introducing more precise citations. (April 2023) (Learn how and when to remove this template message)
Can you help me how to go about, or these are already edited on the page.
Thanks you, Warmly, Pramila --Pramilach (talk) 14:25, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Pramila. Good start! The first message just means that when you cite a source, it's best to provide more information than just the URL. For instance, include the title, author, and date of the work, just like you did in this citation:
- Mallon, Jackie (2021-09-28). "Craft clusters, how one sustainable brand uses India's textile heritage". FashionUnited. Retrieved 2023-04-18.
- Don't worry too much about this, though, since it's a fairly minor issue. The second message is about making sure more of the article has citations. You already have quite a few, but adding more (at least one per paragraph is a good rule of thumb) will help readers see where your information came from. Make sure you're using reliable sources like books, scholarly articles, and news stories rather than blogs and YouTube videos. I hope this helps, and feel free to let me know if you have any more questions. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 07:36, 20 April 2023 (UTC)

Congratulations, You have blocked the public IP address range ( 49.237....) of one of Thailand's largest telecommunication operators, TrueMove H. However, this action may have unintended consequences as it will affect users who utilize TrueMove H sim cards. It could be perceived as an abuse of administrative power. It's important to note that the IP address is also utilized by many students from King Mungkut University who are interested in contributing to Wikipedia. As a student, I am one of those affected by this block. 2001:44C8:45CA:5431:69F7:510B:BEE1:AF1B (talk) 09:55, 26 April 2023 (UTC)

Mass move issue
Hi. I see you went through and moved that big old list of Olympian articles to draft space. I've identified one problem on that and I imagine there may be others as well. Draft:Alf Davies (swimmer) has a redirect to Swimming at the 1908 Summer Olympics – Men's 200 metre breaststroke on it. One of the reasons to move articles back into main space is to redirect them. This was redirected as the result of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alf Davies (swimmer) - started 29 April this year.
Given the terms the TfC operated under, I **think** this redirect should have stayed in mainspace shouldn't it? I don't know how many other articles on the big old list were also previously redirected. I'd move this one back to mainspace myself but a) can't figure out how to do that and b) certainly don't have the time to go through all 960-odd of them. I have no idea if there's an automated way to do so - the redirect has a big warning message on it and that might help. But I think you're going to need to run over the list scan and check how many articles this applies to. Sorry. Blue Square Thing (talk) 05:32, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
- Yikes: you're exactly right, and thanks for letting me know. I've moved that one back to mainspace as well as four others I found using PetScan—that should be all of them, but let me know if you notice anything else fishy. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 05:56, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks. I don't know how quickly (or if) I'll be able to work through any of these really, but if anything odd appears I'll let you know. Blue Square Thing (talk) 05:59, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

What log does this come from?
I've never seen anything like this before. Genuinely curious to know more, specifically how this log is generated and where it's connected on-wiki. (please do not ping on reply) Primefac (talk) 14:26, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- All I did was click "remove" on the admin-only list at Special:ManageMentors, but since non-admins can generate these log entries too, I'm guessing that MediaWiki:GrowthMentors.json (which Special:ManageMentors automatically edited for me) is what sets all the re-assignments in motion. Don't know much more than that, I'm afraid. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 18:25, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

- Following an RfC, editors indefinitely site-banned by community consensus will now have all rights, including sysop, removed.
- As a part of the Wikimedia Foundation's IP Masking project, a new policy has been created that governs the access to temporary account IP addresses. An associated FAQ has been created and individual communities can increase the requirements to view temporary account IP addresses.
- Bot operators and tool maintainers should schedule time in the coming months to test and update their tools for the effects of IP masking. IP masking will not be deployed to any content wiki until at least October 2023 and is unlikely to be deployed to the English Wikipedia until some time in 2024.
- The arbitration case World War II and the history of Jews in Poland has been closed. The topic area of Polish history during World War II (1933-1945) and the history of Jews in Poland is subject to a "reliable source consensus-required" contentious topic restriction.
- Following a community referendum, the arbitration policy has been modified to remove the ability for users to appeal remedies to Jimbo Wales.

Syed Asim Waqar Deletion
Dear @Extraordinary Writ, I hope this message finds you well. I recently noticed that the Wikipedia page I created for "Syed Asim Waqar" has been deleted. I'm writing to kindly request further information about the deletion and to understand the reasons behind it. I invested time and effort into creating the page, and I genuinely believe that Syed Asim Waqar]'s work and accomplishments merit inclusion on Wikipedia. Therefore, I would appreciate any clarification you can provide regarding the decision to delete the page. Could you please share the specific reasons or concerns that led to the deletion of the "Syed Asim Waqar" page? This information will be valuable to me in understanding how I can address any potential issues and ensure compliance with Wikipedia's guidelines. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I'm eager to have a constructive conversation and find a resolution. I look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your time and efforts as a Wikipedia administrator. Best regards, @MH21 Mh21production (talk) 13:38, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) It looks like that article was deleted after a discussion that concluded Waqar didn't fit either the notability guidelines for subjects in general or politicians in particular. I linked some guides on how to demonstrate that -- the latter is dependent on holding specific roles, but the former applies to anyone, and simply requires that reliable sources (e.g. published books or reputable newspapers) have written about them in sufficient depth to write a quality Wikipedia article. The people in that discussion felt, unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Sometimes these discussions get it wrong, in either direction, but the unanimity with which it was decided here at least implies the article didn't demonstrate well if he passed those guidelines. You might want to make a subpage of your user page to collect links to books, news articles, etc about Waqar and see if any experienced editors can look if those demonstrate notability; it can be difficult to figure out what sources are considered 'reliable', or what coverage is sufficiently in-depth. Vaticidalprophet 13:47, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, Vaticidalprophet is correct (good to see you around again, by the way). Let us know if you need any more information or help, Mh21production. If you do want to keep looking for sources, you'll want to make sure that they talk about Waqar in detail rather than just mentioning or quoting him. The two articles that you cited ([2] and [3]), for example, do quote statements that he has made, but they don't provide very much information about Waqar himself as a person, which is probably why the editors in the deletion discussion felt that they weren't sufficient. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 16:24, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- got you. thanks for the reply, one thing that the Wikipedia is a great source of knowledge and information therefore I wanted to add genuine information, but because of lack of reference source it got deleted.
- If I bring refference which gives in dept information about Waqar, how should I proceed? Mh21production (talk) 07:00, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- Mh21production, if you do find in-depth coverage of Waqar, I'd suggest using Wikipedia:Article wizard to create a new draft about him. You'll be able to submit the draft to be reviewed by an experienced editor, who will be able to either accept the draft or provide you with additional feedback. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 23:55, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

Everlasting Summer
Ok, than I'll just write a new article about this game in my draftspace and submit it with AfC. WhyAddX (talk) 07:22, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- That's fine, WhyAddX, but please try to listen to the advice that editors in the DRV were giving you: finding a few high-quality sources will work much better than listing dozens of lower-quality sources. And if you can't find any high-quality sources, that's a good sign that the topic just isn't notable and that the article will be deleted again if you recreate it.
