Hello Etsanov. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Etsanov. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Etsanov|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 11:34, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

When you uploaded the logo to Commons, you claimed that you personally created the logo- is that the case? 331dot (talk) 11:34, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know who exactly created the company logo. I guess I could ask. I downloaded it from the official website of the company. I don't remember what I clicked when I uploaded the image. It was all too new to me at the time and I guess I was overwhelmed with Wikipedia. Etsanov (talk) 13:22, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The point is that if you did not personally create the logo, you cannot claim that you did. Logos are not typically uploaded to Commons- as by doing so, you are making it available for anyone to use for any purpose with attribution. If it was my company, I wouldn't want to do that, but it's up to your company. If the company doesn't mind its logo being released for such use, you may just go to Commons and change the copyright notice to reflect that your company owns the logo and not you personally. If they don't want to release it, it is still possible for the logo to be in an article about the company(though not a draft) under "fair use" rules, which require that the logo be uploaded to this Wikipedia locally, see WP:UPIMAGE for more information.
Images are not relevant to the draft approval process, which only considers the text and sources. Images can wait until the draft is placed in the encyclopedia. 331dot (talk) 13:25, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Draft:ICDSoft, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Etsanov, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Etsanov|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 11:40, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, 331dot! I am a technical support member of ICDSoft, the company about which I am writing. I have worked for the company since 2011 and have always wondered why there's no Wikipedia page about the company. There are other Bulgarian (and foreign) hosting companies which have Wikipedia pages, so I decided to write one in my spare time. I am not receiving and do not expect to receive any compensation for this. Although working with Wikipedia did take some getting used to, I am glad that I did it, because I could continue contributing in a more general sense; I love writing. Etsanov (talk) 13:19, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As you are employed by ICDSoft, you are a paid editor, you do not need to be specifically paid to make edits. You must make the Terms of Use-required disclosure. Wikipedia is not a directory of companies; mere existence does not merit inclusion, and competitors meriting articles(if they do) does not automatically mean that other companies in the field do as well, it depends on the coverage in independent reliable sources, showing that the definition of a notable company is met. 331dot (talk) 13:23, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well I took the liberty to write the article without any financial benefit, just because I love the overall approach of the boss and his philanthropy work for our country. I have read Wiki articles of hosting companies which have been created by an employee - it says so in the history of the articles; I assumed it was OK if I'm doing it in my spare time. I guess I could ask someone else to do it, so there's no conflict. My sister is a writer with a Master's degree, so I could ask her as a personal favor, with just a smile and a hug for compensation. Would that be OK? Etsanov (talk) 13:33, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We don't know when you are "on the clock" at work or "off the clock" not at work. Asking your sister to write it only transfers the conflict of interest to her(though not the paid aspect). You are still permitted to submit a draft as a paid editor, you just need to make the disclosure and be aware of policy.
If articles have been created by employees of a company and they have not made the paid editing disclosure, that violates policy.(just saying they are employees in edit summaries is insufficient). You can submit your evidence of this to the COI noticeboard(though if it involves off wiki information you must follow the guidance at WP:PAID under "reporting undisclosed paid editors"). 331dot (talk) 13:37, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I added
{{paid|user=Etsanov|employer=ICDSoft|client=ICDSoft}}
to the article. It showed a warning on the page saying that I should use "{{Connected contributor (paid)}}" instead. Then I added
{{Connected contributor (paid)|User1=Etsanov|U1-employer=ICDSoft|U1-client=ICDSoft}}
but the page returned "Connected contributor (paid) should only be used on talk pages.."
I am confused. Which one should I use? Also, is there a particular place where that should be added? In the end or the beginning, I assume? As for the logo, I opened it but cannot find how to change the ownership. I will continue looking. Etsanov (talk) 13:50, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've suppressed display of the templates here. The Paid template(described in the messages on this page) is for use on your user page, User:Etsanov. The connected contributor (paid) template is for use on draft/article talk pages. 331dot (talk) 13:54, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a bunch. I added the right one. I hope that's fine. Etsanov (talk) 14:00, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you thought you did, you didn't(happens to me sometimes) so I took the liberty of placing them for you. 331dot (talk) 14:02, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I totally didn't do it the right way. Thanks for the help! I removed the template from the actual draft article, where I thought I was supposed to place it. Etsanov (talk) 14:04, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. As I said, this does not affect your ability to submit or edit the draft. Submitting a draft is the correct way for someone in your position to proceed. 331dot (talk) 14:08, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wonderful. I added a speedy delete template to the Edit section of the logo image. I will later check how I can add the logo properly. Etsanov (talk) 14:22, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
