Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. At least one of your edits, while it may have been in good faith, was difficult to distinguish from vandalism. To help other editors understand the reason for the changes, you can use an edit summary for your contributions. You can also take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. UtherSRG (talk) 12:33, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome. We don't link very familiar topics like Europe, India or sex. Also be careful with "correcting" spelling or punctuation: "A, B and C" is correct in most varieties of English, whereas "A, B, and C" (with comma) is standard in NAm Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:27, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome new editor! I saw that some of your edits have been reverted. Please do not be discouraged by that. When somebody reverts your edits they might leave a comment why they reverted you edit (look into the history of the article you edited). In some cases they might even link to one of the Wikipedia guidelines that explain why they reverted your change. For example, MOS:OVERLINK explains "what generally should not be linked". Have a look at such pages and you will quickly learn how improve Wikipedia! If you are feeling lost, maybe start here: Help:Introduction. Happy editing! Information icon Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Religious studies, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at National Party (South Africa), you may be blocked from editing. Please stop. You have warned multiple times about your disruptive introduction of US spelling into international articles. Greenman (talk) 11:56, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

National varieties of English

[edit]

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Timeline of religion, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 09:58, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar changes

[edit]

Information icon Hello Emmay33. I appreciate your efforts to improve the article Morpheme, but some of your edits have been reverted or corrected, in part because your use of English was grammatically incorrect. If you speak a different language more fluently or require assistance, please feel free to ask for help with your proposed edits on the article's talk page. Please don't use an automated tool to alter spelling or grammar if you aren't fluent enough in English to know whether those changes are correct. There are multiple users who would be glad to help you fix grammar-related issues. To find out about other useful contributions you can make to Wikipedia which don't require absolute fluency in English, see Wikipedia:Task Center. Thanks! Belbury (talk) 10:28, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Washington Post, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Lynch. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:55, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

September 2024 - Again

[edit]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Partition of India, you may be blocked from editing.
WP:ENGVAR was clearly explained to you under "National varieties of English" above, but you are still changing spellings, from the correct variety of English, to words in the incorrect variety of English. Please STOP - Arjayay (talk) 11:58, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Planned community, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it.

The Show preview button is right next to the Publish changes button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 07:53, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Stonecutters Island. Please stop attempting to correct spelling (using spellchecker software?) in sentences that you do not understand: the factory here did not make "several tones of water gel", it made "several tonnes". You're also still going against WP:ENGVAR by changing Commonwealth spellings to American. Belbury (talk) 08:49, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ijaz Hussain Batalve moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Ijaz Hussain Batalve. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 13:29, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Ijaz Hussain Batalve

[edit]

Hello Emmay33, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Ijaz Hussain Batalve, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ijaz Hussain Batalve.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Bastun}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
