Hi, I am Phgao's sister. He recently passed away and I thought it would be appropriate to let his Wiki Paedia friends know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PhgaosSister (talk • contribs) 11:05, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

edition mistake
Hi, being untrained to wikipedia edition I made some mistakes, and I did compromise my IP on a sensible political matter in my country. (Nothing that I am ashamed of : I did just post public available informations. But on the actual context this could possibly leads me to juridical problems). I did remove my sensible post, but now it is still on the history of the pages, and I need an admin to remove it. As you are an admin can you do this for me? Brillen Otarie (talk) 16:52, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- Admins cannot erase a particular part of the history pages. WP:Oversight can do that; you may request there. Thanks for opening your concern to me. --Efe (talk) 06:14, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- By the way, could you please direct me to that diff where you have committed that mistake so that I can help you with the request? Thank you. --Efe (talk) 06:22, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Yes sure:http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Talk:Pieter_De_Crem&action=history Thanks you very much.Brillen Otarie (talk) 12:11, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Have you visited WP:Oversight? --Efe (talk) 03:57, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Mmm, indeed, looks like the case doesn't fit the Oversight policy... But I have some fears that the wiki project itself could face problems or useless juridical expenses in the story. Brillen Otarie (talk) 22:26, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I rechecked the policy. But at least the edit has been removed in the talk page, though Im not apprehensive with it, and its not completely publicly viewable. --Efe (talk) 02:57, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

RE:User:Westcoastdesign
It's always been accepted by administrators before. Essentially the user is using his page as an article substitute; he's placing something that falls under the "advertising" heading, just not in the articlespace. Ironholds (talk) 09:40, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I recognized it as a blatant advertising. Thanks for the info. --Efe (talk) 09:42, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- Heyoo, just as a followup: pedro seems to have accepted it as valid. I think it's one of those conventional things; it is done, but not necessarily written down.Ironholds (talk) 13:13, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Help please
Hi Efe, as I'm sure your aware Britney Spears has a tour planned for her Circus album. However Fans are trying to rewrite history by saying the new tour is to promote Circus and her 2007 album Blackout. Thus far there are no reliable sources to suggest the tour is linked to promotion of Blackout. This falsehood is currently spreading on the articles dedicated to the Blackout album and the new tour. I have a feeling fans are trying to write a false history here, to explain away the lack of promotion for Blackout when it was originally issued. If you could watchlist both these articles with me it would be very helpful. I did have the tour article protected but only for 24 hours. — Realist2 01:42, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- True that Spears is planning a tour and having read some reliable sources, she did state she'll probably be performing songs off the album Blackout, but not necessarily a promotion. Watchlisted now. Thanks for dropping by. --Efe (talk) 02:01, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- She will probably have tracks from all her albums, but I think we can all agree that she isn't promoting all the albums. It's about selling Circus at this point IMHO that is. Anyway, thanks Efe and nice to see you. I have an essay to write, if I don't fall asleep. zzzzzzzzz. — Realist2 02:10, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. This is all about Circus. Hopes the album breaks a new record in Billboard history. Good luck on your essay. --Efe (talk) 03:26, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Tambayan tagging script
Please see Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines/Assessment for the updated code. Outriggr deleted his code and I manage to salvage it. --seav (talk) 06:30, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

G'day
Ah thanks Efe, I just feel very delicate about all the work you're doing and don't want to complicate things. You are so nice about working together, and you're doing a mighty job, I wouldn't want to add to the strain! I will look in on it in the a.m. so that you have a chance to get stuff down. Fingrs crosst, it will all come together soon! Julia Rossi (talk) 11:49, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- Damn. My English is just not good. But you are here so I am fine. Yeah, we can make this, but I requested the reviewer to delist the nom. I was too confident to nominate it prematurely. --Efe (talk) 11:53, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- Did skomorokh agree? Hopefully you can list it again. The problem is that GA puts an article under the microscope and then there's the deadline. I am here for you and for your English so don't let it worry you. Can you get a couple of days? Efe, you're that close <finger and thumb almost touching> <: ) Julia Rossi (talk) 11:57, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- Im a stupid gay, really. I haven't finished this yet, but I worked on Nights in Rodanthe. See now, I am pressured! My! I requested before but Skomorokh considered extending the "deadline". And then I requested again, following our petty "edit war". hehe. =) --Efe (talk) 12:04, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

- RE changing quotes – inside quote marks no, but if you want to, you can reduce the quote marks to few words and change the ones left outside them (as I did in the Characters section somewhere); or, you can insert missing or implied words using square brackets [...]. Julia Rossi (talk) 11:59, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- I am actually aware of it, but what you have changed was not in my "brain". I don't know how to fix this whole quotation: "she has the same simple refinement as the hedgehog: a deceptively indolent little creature, fiercely solitary – and terribly elegant". without changing "solitary – and terribly" to "solitary—and terribly". --Efe (talk) 12:04, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- I think it's okay to wikify the punctuation style – different if you were changing from a dash to say a comma or a semicolon. And Efe, didn't know you were climbing Everest without oxygen (ie doing two hard things at the same time)! I was avoiding edit conflict (which, kind sir, is not an edit war) especially because I didn't want any unintentional reverts happening. I'm sure all is cool there. Is the GA still cancelled? Julia Rossi (talk) 12:11, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- As an afterthought – it's likely a matter of choice because anything inside quotes is probably safe. All I saw was that an ndash had escape my rapier delete button and didn't think further. DTD (damn those details), Julia Rossi (talk) 12:14, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, not a edit war, that's why its written with "_". I was to drop you an e-mail, but I think its not possible. --Efe (talk) 12:19, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yep, currently I respond quicker to my talk page than to my email. I will change that later if you want to ping me. Are you okay if I drop off until tomorrow now? (that makes a cute emo btw, hehe) Julia Rossi (talk) 12:26, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Wow, you guys have done some fine work on this article well done. Efe, I noticed the unusually well-developed new article Nights in Rodanthe (novel) on the DYK but had no idea you had written it, and in the time the Elegance of the Hedgehog was at GAN too! It's in an even better state that Elegance of the Hedgehog was when you nominated it, and I'm sure you could get it to GA status without too much trouble. That is if you are not too burned out from you stellar efforts of the past few weeks! I will be back to (hopefully) pass Elegance of the Hedgehog tomorrow. With admiration, Skomorokh 15:49, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, I don't know what to say. Thank you. We'll see what I and Julia can do today; hopefully this will go smoothly. --Efe (talk) 01:09, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- Sure Efe, Skomoro's right: you've put heaps into it (I "see" you juggling GA's with both hands!). Am online again so will go there now, <zo-om> Julia Rossi (talk) 22:03, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Avril Lavigne Don't Tell Me Pock It!.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Avril Lavigne Don't Tell Me Pock It!.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. Viva la Vida
Regarding your contributions to the article, please keep in mind that WP:SONG#Charts and succession specifically states that "This section describes the song's history on the record charts and usually includes a table showing the song's peak chart positions." Having separate "Chart" and "Chart performance" sections is redundant, confusing and unnecessary. Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns. just64helpin (talk) 14:32, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Personally, I don't like the idea of adding a table for the chart "procession and succession". This is a wikipedia and not like database that stores something not so important for readers. My diff was, if you haven't check it, that tables should go after the prose. In my experience, almost all writers do not break the prose by intermittently adding tables in between, and many reviewers in the FAC room do agree with it. --Efe (talk) 11:25, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Please Advise
A page I created entitled Know Yourself DVD Series was recently deleted. I was wondering if you could advise me on what changes to make to the page. The DVD series is produced by a non-profit education foundation and has notable interest. I appreciate your help. Volume28 (talk) 14:22, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- But is it in itself notable? If its notable to a few people then it isn't worthy; is the company notable? Does the Producer company have its own article? If it doesn't then I really don't see your article happening. --Ssteiner209 (talk) 14:24, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Indeed, the Anthropedia Foundation (which produced the series) has its own Wikipedia entry and web site. The Foundation's board of directors and advisory board is comprised of a group of internationally renowned doctors, academics, and businessmen. The head of International and Philanthropic Development is Prince Albert II of Monaco. Please see web site at anthropedia.org. Thank you. Volume28 (talk) 14:38, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- Please note that notability is not a valid criteria for speedy deletion. The question there is if the article/subject is significant. Know Yourself DVD Series was deleted under WP:CSD#11 (blatant advertising). I suggest, if you recreate the article, to read the guideline about advertising for it not to be speedy deleted, as well as our notability guideline for other users not to propose a deletion for it. Hope that helps. Please contact me again if you still have concerns. Thank you and happy editing. --Efe (talk) 02:54, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Request for Rollback Permission
Howdy. You helped me delete some new pages on Wednesday, and I was wondering if you would be willing to grant me Rollback permissions. I have problems using Twinkle, and was told to upgrade to Huggle.--digitalmischief (talk) 11:42, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. From what I have observed in your edit history, you really have good contribs, principally in page patrolling and user warning. However, your vandalism patrolling is low (undo feature is used, I believe, not more than 15 in late November and early December), but you really used the button for vandalism only, which is actually good. I recommend you use the undo feature for the time being, and please come back after a few days. I would really be willing to grant it to you. --Efe (talk) 12:05, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
- Just checking back in with you to see if it would be appropriate yet? I would love to do more vandalism patrolling, but it will be a much more time consuming process without being able to use Huggle. I have deferred to other editors in this regard, since they have an easier time identifying new changes and reverting them. I'd be happy to post my first 10 rollbacks on your userpage, so you can check me for accuracy, if that would help? Cheers. --Digital Mischief 00:49, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- I would love to if you'll provide me with diffs. I am a bit busy now. By the way, Special:RecentChanges is a better place to help with vandals patrolling, but I believe you are aware of that page. --Efe (talk) 02:46, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Permanent Deletion
Hello. Regarding the page of mine that was deleted. If I don't rewrite it, what can I do so that it disappears permanently from Wikipedia. That is, I don't want for everyone who goes to that page to see the label "deleted for blatant advertising." I appreciate your help.

Hi. You blocked user talk:86.159.58.41 from editing last month after repeated vandalism of Don Touhig. A new user user talk:90.218.59.232 has just made the same edit. I've issued a Level 2 warning. Deletion of ListenToEurope page
Hi Efe,
I saw you deleted the ListenToEurope page. Why?151.23.5.40 (talk) 14:20, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Because the article fails to state why it's important, or state its importance. WikiPedia page creation policy requires that every article should mention its importance so that it will no be deleted. --Efe (talk) 13:39, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Question
Hi--A page entitled "Know Yourself DVD Series" has been deleted, so that when you search for it on Wikipedia no results turn up; however, when you search for that title on Google, the Wikipedia page does turn up and you can access it. Why is it that you can access the page through google, but not through Wikipedia, and is there any way to disable this, or to redirect from that page to another page when people click on the google link? Thank you. Volume28 (talk) 16:19, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. I am not actually an expert on this, but per my experience, some contents here in Wikipedia either, deleted pages or deleted contrib but viewable in the history, are sometimes viewable in google especially if the action, eg deletion, is still fresh. But over time, they become unsearchable in google. Hope that helps. --Efe (talk) 13:15, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Help
First off, congrats on the RfA. Sorry I missed it. Anyways, I have nominated Christina Milian (album) for GA. It's not as strong as her other two albums (in terms of Wiki quality), but it's still okay. I have had trouble finding sources for German charts. The album charted at number 51, but I simply cannot find a ref. Could you have a try? Also, it is lacking a few reviews. Could you have a quick look? Thanks, Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 01:26, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Cornucopia, its fine. I just checked on the article, and its awesome good. When searching for non-US charts, I usually go to acharts.us, but it seems its unavailable there. --Efe (talk) 03:07, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's a shame. I think since it wasn't released in the U.S. (at least for a while), they didn't bother to list it at aCharts. I'll continue to look out for refs, but if I don't find one, I'll probably have to just remove it from the article. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 03:16, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm, its actually not detrimental to the article, so, IMO, you can freely remove it once you come back with no source spotted. BTW, good work on the mother page. I had not fulfilled my promise of reviewing it. I don't review GA nom now for some reasons. --Efe (talk) 03:21, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Hey there Efe, just thought I'd drop by to let you know that I've reviewed "Umbrella" (song) and left comments on the review page, just in case you've missed it. DiverseMentality 07:55, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Greenlight.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Greenlight.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:26, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Fixed. The image was replaced, arbitrarily. --Efe (talk) 07:13, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Speedy Deletion of BlueOregon
You deleted the article on BlueOregon. I believe this is unfair action. BlueOregon is a n often cited political news blog, used in numerous articles on Oregon politics and elected officials. This is the reason I created the pages, so that it can be the initial page used in numerous citation tags on Oregon elected official and candidate articles. Lestatdelc (talk) 07:25, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- The page was deleted under WP:CSD #A7 because it fails to comply the basic guideline. The message that notified you about the speedy deletion contains links with which you might find helpful. Thank you. --Efe (talk) 07:33, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- And I have now availed myself of those after I saw them. I have posted to the deletion review.Lestatdelc (talk) 07:37, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Please feel free to administer whichever actions you feel appropriate. I have traced the links of your contribs and, as you have notified me, it appears you have already posted a deletion review. In the post, it reads: "BlueOregon is an often cited political news blog, used in numerous articles on Oregon politics and elected officials." If you have sources to back up this claim, then you better add them up the next time you recreate the article, I suggest, for it to pass the speedy deletion criteria. I reread the content of the article a couple of times and it hardly suggest any importance. That is why it was deleted. --Efe (talk) 07:47, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Perhaps I should have fleshed it out first before posting anything at all. But I was intending that as a an initial stub entry and expanding it over the next day or two. As I posted in the deletion review posting, The Oregonian, Oregon's largest newspaper, often mentions BlueOregon in articles about local and Oregon politics such as here, here and here as just quick examples. It is also, as noted above, often a reliable and cited source for numerous Oregon centric political elected officials and candidates. Lestatdelc (talk) 07:51, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Good links. But please, if you intend to recreate the article today, add at least one line why its significant (regardless of initial length of the article), backing them up with reliable sources. With that, I am sure it will pass the criteria. Thank you and happy editing, Lestatdelc. --Efe (talk) 07:56, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- This has now gone to deletion review. Stifle (talk) 10:48, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks Stifle. Do I have to comment there? It seems the editor now is satisfied with my reasoning why the article was deleted. --Efe (talk) 10:52, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- You don't have to comment, although it's customary to when there is still a dispute. In this case I doubt it's needed though. Stifle (talk) 12:57, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- FYI, I have re-created the article in question with some citations of high-profile contributors to BlueOregon, including Former Gov. John Kitzhaber, newly elected Attorney General John Kroger, and others, as well as citations to The Oregonian mentioning and quoting form BlueOregon in several recent articles. Any opinion on if the line "BlueOregon is a high-profile progressive blog covering politics and issues in in Oregon. A group blog, it is often mentioned in articles on Oregon politics by The Oregonian, the states largest newspaper.", and the aforementioned citations suffice to denote notability or if more is needed. Again, the reason I initially created this article is that there are dozens upon dozens of citations and references scattered through numerous WP articles on Oregon politics and political/elected officials, etc. which cite BlueOregon articles. It is an oft cited political news site in Oregon politics, hence the rationale for an article on it since it is an oft used reliable source within that niche. Lestatdelc (talk) 13:16, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- By the way, Lestatdelc: to indicate that you're still working on an article over a few days, add the {{underconstruction}} template to the top of it. If that tag is present, and the new article looks at least half-decent, that'll most likely cause new page patrollers to give the author a chance to develop their page over some time. Cheers, Jamie☆S93 15:07, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I have created some new pages in the past, but they were usually just template or obvious sub-pages of established articles/topics, and the suggestion of some of the tag tools to help aid in developing new pages helps. Lestatdelc (talk) 00:11, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Green Light Screenshot.png
Thank you for uploading Image:Green Light Screenshot.png.
If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 14:13, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Assistance Required
Dear Efe,
You deleted the T..Key page yesterday. Could you please guide me what errors it contained and how it could be improved? I didn't think it was any kind of advertisement as the article was totally changed. Your speedy response and assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tkmark (talk • contribs) 03:00, 3 December 2008
- I rechecked it. Tradekey.com is a web-related article and it was speedy deleted under WP:CSD G11 (Blatant advertising) four times. For it to survive, it must indicate its importance and/or significance. You may want to read more about blatant advertising here, general notability guideline, and the specific guideline for web content. If you have determined anything, please let me know. Thank you for your contributions to WikiPedia. --Efe (talk) 03:13, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Dear Efe,
Thank you very much for your speedy response. I will go ahead and thoroughly review the links you have provided. I will then re-write the article and inform you to check for me. Should I upload the article on Wikipedia first and then inform you? What do you suggest?
Best Regards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tkmark (talk • contribs) 03:20, 3 December 2008
- Hey, sorry, its a bit late. If you really want to edit a rough copy of it first, you may create a subpage of yours, like User:Tkmark/Sandbox. Please read the this when using a sandbox. --Efe (talk) 05:20, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Dear Efe,
Thank you very much. I will definitely create a subpage first and then discuss it with you to ensure that it meets all the guidelines. I really appreciate your helping me. Thank you. (Tkmark (talk) 03:03, 4 December 2008 (UTC))
- Welcome. --Efe (talk) 06:06, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Dear Efi,
Please guide how to make the article live. Your help, as always, will be greatly appreciated. Best Regards. (Tkmark (talk) 05:41, 23 December 2008 (UTC))
- I am wondering if you could put at least one line in the lead stating the website's significance. If it passes WP:CSD #G11, I am afraid of WP:CSD #A7. Why don't you try "TradeKey received ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 27001 Information Security Management certifications and became the world’s first online B2B portal to have received both the certifications." Have you scoured the net for possible reliable third-party sources that covered anything about TradeKey? --Efe (talk) 05:51, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

What gives you the right to delete my article?!? Nuddsy (talk) 11:35, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- Sir, I believe you are aware of WP:CIVIL. With the article, it was deleted because it failed to assert any importance. Please read our guidelines. Thank you. --Efe (talk) 11:37, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- I don't get it! This was a very important case and still is, where a body was never recovered. It sets a british legal precedent. Why can't we at least have a proper AFD, why does someone (you) have to come along and delete it outright, thus denying everyone else the chance to discuss it? responding to your message
I blocked that IP because it was part of a spam campaign by several IPs and registered users. In these cases, warnings are just a waste of time, and it is fine to block without even creating a talk page. Academic Challenger (talk) 06:23, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- I have noticed those IPs, too, and have blocked at least one of them. I am just worried about Wikipedia:Blocking_policy#Education_and_warnings that's why I have done this, and worried about that 1 week block. Anyway, I have notified the IP for formality. Thanks for the immediate response. --Efe (talk) 06:35, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Ban Lengths
I am appalled by the indescriminate lengths of bans on wikipedia. I would like some consistency on the lengths of my bans and not some sort of randomly chosen between 1-7 days. Consistency is all I ask. Is it so hard to ask for? 74.12.182.15 (talk) 08:36, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
