Hi EditExpress. I just came across your new article and I was wondering if this may actually be a good topic for inclusion on Wikipedia. It seems to me like effectively a dictionary page which is something that Wikipedia does not want to me, see WP:NOTADICTIONARY. Also, other than the google dictionary, do you have any other sources about the etymology of the verbs? Just because a word is identical to that of an animal, it may not be related. One that sprung immediately to mind is "fry". The verb meaning the cooking activity is actually dervived from that latin "frigere". "Bat" also very different etymologies between the animal and the verb. I'm tagging the article with a suggested deletion, which gives 7 days to address issues, however, as I said initially the topic may not be suitable to start. Please let me know if you have any questions, and please don't feel discouraged to contribute. WIkipedia's rules and guidelines may seem complex, especially when starting off and creating your first articles. All the best, pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 06:44, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
The article Animal Verbs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
WP:NOTADICTIONARY. The etymology of those verbs is also unclear - the root of many verbs is different to the root of the noun and would probably need to be referenced accordingly. Other than that, this strikes me like a dictionary page.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 06:47, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
