Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Paan Singh Tomar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Indian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:19, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Kautilya3. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Digvijay Nath, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Dwayne Johnson. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:01, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Chief Keef. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:47, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

American Politics editing

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have recently shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Your edit summary attacking User:Jpgordon

[edit]

Calling his revert a "Possible case of misconduct" is completely unacceptable and not the purpose of edit summaries. And as you were using an opinion piece to make a statement of fact about a living person, a BLP violation. You need to become more familiar with WP:BLP and read the alert above again. Quote refactoring

[edit]

Hi there, re: this edit is there a reason why you refactored the quote "Then we have graphic and regular novels ... how she became a power centre into a TV series in a grand way" into "Then we have graphics and regular novels ... how she became a power center into a TV series in a grand way." Was this a mistake? I can't see a legitimate justification for changing "graphic" to "graphics" since we're talking about "graphic novels" a well-known format of comic book entertainment, and it's unclear why you changed "centre" to "center" when we use British English in Indian articles. Your response would be appreciated, thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:26, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also, re: this, while it's nice that you opted to clarify that we're talking about millions, million is not a proper noun, and thus, shouldn't be capitalised. Maybe a moot point, since we don't do currency conversions in the infobox, but it's something for you to look out for moving forward. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:28, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2019 US Banknote Contest

[edit]
US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
