Greetings!
I hope you are well. Just wondering if I have graduated from your adoption program? I also thought you should know that I am helping new users at the teahouse and I got my first unwarranted ANI ("My first ANI") How have things with you been? --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 00:46, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hey there, Skamecrazy123. Yes, I'd say you have earned graduation from my adoption program. You've shown remarkable growth in the three years since we started. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I've been very busy with real life, so my edits have been dwindling for the past several months. I hope to edit more frequently at some point, but for now I'm officially inactive. Good luck with your post-adoption career! Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:17, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!

For being the best adopter an adoptee could wish for and for helping me grow as a Wikipedian. I owe much of what I know to you and I really appreciate everything you have done for me Skamecrazy123 (talk) 01:22, 4 January 2013 (UTC) |
- Thanks, but you've earned your growth. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:15, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
Hey Eagles 24/7; hope all is well with you
Hey man. I don't know how you are managing it and how things are going for you and all. Hopefully well--and I pray that they are. I'm just trying to create the 2012 seasons on those college football players I work on here on Wikipedia. I'm fighting writer's block. I have all my data in place (atleast just about--might need an extra game summary on Notre Dame's Everett Golson), but writing has never come easy for me. I figure it'll be a while before I get those biographies caught up--but I will. Just hope you're doing OK. Happy New Year to you. Sorry about how it went for the Eagles this season. I still think the most complete Eagles team I've ever witnessed was when I was real young and coach Dick Vermeil led the 1980 Philly team deep into the playoffs. I thought they should have won the Super Bowl that year, seriously. Take care of yourself, and God bless you.Rod Hayes (talk) 21:12, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks Rod, you too. Eagles 24/7 (C) 23:09, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
bert bell
do you know of any verifiable source that Bert Bell is recognized as a GM of the Eagles. I believe he should be considered a former GM of the Eagles (between you and I but I am not a source), but someone jacked a navbox on the Bell page that says he was the GM. I think Lyon's comments about Bell's role with the Eagles was somewhat flippant. I have no verifiable source that Bell is considered a former GM, and let's get real, there was no such thing as GM in football in the 1930s. I am not emotionally involved with this debate with another editor, but I am unhappy I wasted a year of my life tracking down an incorrect navbox (and Lyon's writing for that matter) that says that Bell played for a professional NFL franchise against Jim Thorpe. Bell was a referee of the game. Ijustreadbooks (talk) 01:55, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
- The Eagles' media guide calls him the general manager in 1935: [1]. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:41, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oh well, I guess I just made an idiot of myself. I just blasted another user on the Bert Bell talk page and the Bert Bell page. If you think that your source meets Wikipedia criteria, then I prolly need your help in fixing the article and making amends with the other user. I am not really happy that your source is "philadelphieagles.com" but you are the Eagles specialist and I know next to nothing about the Eagles so i will defer to you on this. Ijustreadbooks (talk) 23:25, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- We could probably solve all of this by denoting Bell as the de facto general manager on that navbox. Eagles 24/7 (C) 23:32, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- you're a genius. Do it. I am for denoting him as the de facto GM, but of course I have not the slightest idea how to do that. I will full accede to him being the de facto GM, and I can provide a citation for it. 23:42, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

You are a genius
Case closed. I do not know how to do any of those fancy wikikpedia barnstorm stuff. Ijustreadbooks (talk) 02:17, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
- It's alright, I appreciate the thought. (If you still want to know, try the little heart at the top of user talk pages next to the "View history" tab.) Eagles 24/7 (C) 05:40, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

St. John's University
Eagles,
I am an administrator at St. John's University looking to maintain our page. After making my 10 edits and waiting the necessary four days, I was able to make changes. When a third party reinstated the changes, I wanted to contact you because it says you are the one who secured the page in 2011. please contact me at sklaring@stjohns.edu — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sklaring123 (talk • contribs) 14:55, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
Bert Bell
I am very, very busy in real life as you are. Someone jacked a template on Bert Bell. As you know I am not a sophisticated user, so I do not know if the template is valid or accurate. The user Pennsylvania Penguin has been around for many more years than me so I can only take his edit at face value as accurate. Also, some editor placed the article on hold for GA - which means it can some day be a GA article which is, as far as I am concerned, largely attributable to your work. I can not make a move on the Bert Bell article until, at the very earliest, the 28th of March. Dude, good job. I can only hope that things work out for me on the 26th of March and I can stop in Philly and grab that further reading book on Bell and close this puppy out (and I am still missing his daughter's comments to the LATimes which belongs in the article). Thanks so much for your help. I hope this puppy gets closed out by next years super bowl. Ijustreadbooks (talk) 02:26, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
- Congrats! Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:35, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
Bro
Some one just blasted the bell article and it's now GA. Thanks for all your help. The article does need some work though. But bro, that's like ..thanks. Ijustreadbooks (talk) 03:38, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
W.E. Blackhurst
I've been having trouble with the heading of the "Life and Upbringing" section of the W.E. Blackhurst article. Since I added a new photo (this time with all the ownership rights all in order), the section appears above the "Contents" box for the article and the heading looks funny. Sorry to trouble you. Since you have made a few edits at {{NFL predraft}}, I was hoping you might comment at Wikipedia:Help_desk#Template_request_for_NBA_Draft_Combine.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 11:31, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
