Draft Feedback

[edit]

There's not a lot to work with so far. The basic information is good, but right now the single citation is not adequate for what you have. The fight to prevent the market from being annexed sounds really intersting and deserves significantly more than a single sentence. Remember you are trying to demonstrate why this topic deserves a space on Wikipedia. You have to do more than just rush through some basic facts. (talk) 16:12, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Should be merged into existing article

[edit]

Draft is a new version of an article that has existed on Wikipedia since 2006. This should be merged into existing article Poydras Market. -- Infrogmation (talk) 17:31, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

    • Looking again, much of the material does not seem relevant to that. Poydras Market or Poydras Street Market was an historical city market that has not existed for generations. The existing article can be about that historical market. The article however suggests a continuation which as far as I can tell does not exist (I am from New Orleans, formerly worked in that area and continue to visit it and had never heard the current Poydras Street as being "Poydras Street Market", and a short websearch does not show this usage either.) "South Market District" on the other hand is a used term mostly in the last dozen or so years for redevelopment for a section of the Central Business District. The "South Market District" of New Orleans might be a legitimate subject of an article (possibly; unless it is extensive and well sourced, might be better as a short mention in the New Orleans Central Business District article); however equating it with the Poydras Market is misleading at best. -- Infrogmation (talk) 17:43, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
