[edit]Hello, I'm Deadwikipedian. I noticed that you recently removed content from Gastroesophageal reflux disease without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. deadwikipedian (talk) 11:29, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Gastroesophageal reflux disease. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Angle of His. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. DVdm (talk) 16:41, 2 April 2018 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Gastroesophageal reflux disease. Zefr (talk) 15:41, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you have added Creative Commons licensed text to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Inhibitor trapping. You are welcome to import appropriate Creative Commons licensed content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Compatibly licensed sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any Creative Commons content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. The4lines |||| (Talk) (Contributions) 17:20, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello, Dssparrow. We welcome your contributions, but it appears as if your primary purpose on Wikipedia is to add citations to sources you may be affiliated with.
Editing in this way is a violation of the policy against using Wikipedia for promotion and is a form of conflict of interest. The editing community considers excessive self-citing to be a form of spamming on Wikipedia (WP:REFSPAM); the edits will be reviewed and the citations removed where it was not appropriate to add them.
If you wish to continue contributing, please first consider citing other reliable secondary sources such as review articles that were written by other researchers in your field and that are already highly cited in the literature. If you wish to cite sources for which you may have a conflict of interest, please start a new section on the article's talk page and add {{Edit COI}} to ask a volunteer to review whether or not the citation should be added.
