Hi. When you recently edited Up With Montana, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pigskin (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:12, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Peer review limits changed

[edit]

This is a notice to all users who currently have at least one open peer review at Wikipedia:Peer review. Because of the large number of peer review requests and relatively low number of reviewers, the backlog of PRs has been at 20 or more almost continually for several months. The backlog is for PR requests which have gone at least four days without comments, and some of these have gone two weeks or longer waiting for a review.

While we have been able to eventually review all PRs that remain on the backlog, something had to change. As a result of the discussion here, the consensus was that all users are now limited to one (1) open peer review request.

If you already have more than one open PR, that is OK in this transition period, but you cannot open any more until all your active PR requests have been closed. If you would like someone to close a PR for you, please ask at Wikipedia talk:Peer review. If you want to help with the backlog, please review an article whoe PR request is listed at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog/items. Thanks, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:04, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Missoula

[edit]

I recently made Missoula, Montana a good article but completely forgot about one aspect of the references: that there shouldn't be any bare links. Please go through and fix all the bare links with the proper citation formats (title, publisher, date accessed, etc.) and we won't have to reassess the article. Cadiomals (talk) 22:55, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dsetay, if you want advice on fixing the refs, give me a shout. I'm pretty busy in RL right now and not on wiki a lot, but I'll at least try to lend a small helping hand if I can. Montanabw(talk) 16:16, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, but I think I got them all fixed. If you notice one you could point it out of fix it if you'd like. Dsetay (talk) 17:05, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'll take care of this; please don't edit conflict me (see here). Alarbus (talk) 02:57, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Dsetay for helping to promote Missoula, Montana to Good Article status. Please accept this little sign of appreciation and goodwill from me, because you deserve it. Keep it up, and give someone a pat on the back today. --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 09:36, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, since you recently participated in an RfC at Campaign for "santorum" neologism, I thought you might be interested in this proposal for renaming the article, or perhaps another of the rename proposals on the page. Best, BeCritical 22:08, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And is your comment on tabloids in the right place? I moved it once, but it seems to be out of place again. BeCritical 22:15, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Jobberone (talk) 00:34, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Wait, now cool the fuck down. I reverted ONE edit by an unknown user and you're considering me disruptive? And, you're classifying it as vandalism? Someone needs a fucking nap. Dsetay (talk) 00:39, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Santorum neologism RfC aftermath

[edit]

I think this edit might not be the most helpful thing for that talk page. The page is already a huge source of contention without adding what some editors might find to be a gloating tone. Especially coming after such a widely opined-on RfC, and a paragraph below my specific exhortation not to treat this result as a battlefield victory over some enemy. This project is a collaboration, and a little more care on talk pages (from myself too, as you can probably see) would go a long way toward improving that dynamic. I'm not saying that's what you intended, but it might come off that way. Thanks. ☯.ZenSwashbuckler.☠ 20:30, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP Cities

[edit]

Hi Dsetay IMHO, I don't think people's biographies should be tagged for WP Montana cities, I think they should just stick to geographic locations, maybe buildings, etc.. (For one thing, it can lead to editing spats for people who have lived in several Montana communities over the course of their careers...) The exception might be someone like, perhaps, Paris Gibson, who founded Great Falls and is primarily famous for that reason, but I'd even consider that a gray area. JMO. I am delighted that you are putting the energy into this and don't want to be a party pooper, but just thought I'd throw that out. Montanabw(talk) 02:19, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree. That would make things a lot easier anyway. Certainly those with historical connections to the city though.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Missoulian newspaper frontpage.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Missoulian newspaper frontpage.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Image is showing up in other articles, I tossed it from them, but may want to check on the edits to the Missoula articles, particularly the main one. Montanabw(talk) 03:15, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:MSU Great Falls COT logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:54, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article List of University of Montana student organizations has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject doesn't appear to meet the WP:LISTN, criteria. WP:NOTGUIDE also seemingly applies.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
