Camden Home for Friendless Children moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Camden Home for Friendless Children. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

- Hello Josh, I’m not sure exactly why you reviewed that article and not the main article about the west jersey orphanage for colored children. The one for the Camden home for the friendless children was a supplementary page that I hadn’t published, but I guess published automatically for some reason. If you could, would you check out the article the West Jersey orphanage for colored children. Thank you so much. Drwho407 (talk) 22:41, 6 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to, Habitat for Humanity, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.
Wikipedia:Your first article has more information about creating articles, and you may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Alpha3031 (t • c) 09:58, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

- hey Valereee. Again I apologize for any issues I may have caused you. The reason that i created this page was to highlight the black/african-american community in Camden today while a different article would talk about Black/African American History in Camden. - Hi what’s up. I apologize if I caused any trouble. I’m from the area and have a love for Camden in its history. I saw how it was said that the page needed to be Reworked. I’ve spent the last day redoing the page so that it is a lot more condensed down and doesn’t repeat things that existing articles about Camden already say in whole. I had to adjust and create new articles for certain topics as I felt it was necessary for the average reader to have a better understanding of all the information. Especially if they could actually see it all in the right spot. I may have made the mistake of forgetting to put it in the draft spaces prior to creating the article so if that is the issue, I will refrain from creating articles until I have it fully drafted out. Sorry for any inconvenience. Hope I get unbanned and can contribute further as there was much more work to be done. Thanks Drwho407 (talk) 17:41, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
I am sorry if I caused any issue. I made the mistake of not putting those articles in draft space to fully flesh them out before uploading any thing or publishing them. If there was any further reason for the ban I not sure exactly did wrong but am sorry and I will make a valiant effort to no make any more infraction like this. Again I’m sorry. I hope I caused no one any offense. Thank you so much. I hope you all have a lovely day. Drwho407 (talk) 17:54, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

Hey, Drwho407, no worries, we just wanted to get your attention, sounds like this is just a misunderstanding. The articles you're creating aren't ready for main space. Do you know how to create articles in draft space? Valereee (talk) 13:08, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- yes I thought I had understood how to but now I definitely do. I just was so wrapped up in fixing up the main camden page, i had not realized i was clicking new article instead of article wizard to start a draft. Again thank you for being so understanding. I hope to be a useful editing asset. Drwho407 (talk) 13:52, 12 November 2024 (UTC)

- Also, I noticed that one of the sources you cited for the draft, Sixers practice facility set to open on Camden Waterfront, does not actually contain any material about the Center for Family services. GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 22:05, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah Ive been fixing the main Camden NJ page, condensing it down. This was a part of another article and was spun off and believe that references came with it from the orignal, I hadn't sent it in for review yet so i haven't adjusted all the kinks. I made the mistake of thinking that I was editing in the draft space when I was not. Drwho407 (talk) 22:14, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

Please leave an accurate edit summary
[edit]Hello, I'm Cameron Dewe. I noticed that you recently made an edit to Crime in Camden, New Jersey in which your edit summary did not appear to describe the change you made. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I have asked a question on that article's talk page as I do not understand what you are trying to achieve. Other editors do not understand either. Your edit summary says you are "condesing down main" but this does not what you did or why. Since you are replacing a redirect with new content, you are clearly not "condensing" but expanding a redirect into a new article. Also, where did this text come from? Your reference to "main" suggest you have copied this text from somewhere else. If you are copying within Wikipedia then there is a specific edit summary you should use to identify where you obtained the text from and provide attribution to the original authors.
A consequence of your inaccurate edit summaries is that a related edit where you entirely removed a section discussing crime in Camden, New Jersey, including its heading, was promptly reverted by another user. Clearly, other editors do not understand what you are doing either. The result is Wikipedia now has 2 articles that discuss crime in Camden, New Jersey. I am contemplating merging these articles but want to give you an opportunity to explain what you are doing, first. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 18:29, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Cameron Dewey, sorry if I mislabled my edit, I am not sure why i did sometimes i edit and publist it them notice was something i missed or an error fix it and then forget what the intial edit was for. I try to The seperate article was meant to be more of an elaboration on crime and it effect in camden since its founding up until today. ive been compiling sources for large additon to it then I had my health concern so that delayed it but I should have it done tonight. sorry i had read the attribution page and the way i had understood it was about moving the sourcing of the info. i hadnt thought about editor's distinctly unique paraphrasing since their contribution didnt add info itself, and that whatever metadata linking them not carrying over to the main article about Crime in Camden. I wasnt aware there was a way to link the paraphrasing editor to their phrasing on another page. I was looking that and saw you can find then in page edit history but from there I am not sure where you add on another page, Again sorry for the delay. Thank you Drwho407 (talk) 19:50, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Depending on the interface you are using, you should be able to preview you edits before publishing the edit. It should also be possible to view your proposed changes in one of the editing interfaces. If you are copying and pasting text from one article to another all you edit summary needs to say is "
Copied content from [[<page name>]]; see that page's history for attribution
." - Cameron Dewe (talk) 09:09, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
