Check whether or not the new map contains the right information. Wereldburger758 (talk) 17:26, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

HI, you need to include the eastern croatia territories as parts of rebel serb held territories, and you should remove the two smaller enclaves in eastern bosnia, since they were overrun by serb rebels in 1995 Drax90 (talk) 15:49, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please respond on the graphics lab-page so that others beside myself can read your post. I have copied your answer and pasted it into the graphics lab page. Please check my answer there. Wereldburger758 (talk) 06:53, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New map Serbia Expansion

[edit]

Following your request, I have made two maps: map1 map2

I like the one with the gray areas but it is your call. Wereldburger758 (talk) 07:51, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I prefer the first one-colored version,oh and you missed to erase a tiny bit near montenegro-bosnia border :) Drax90 (talk) 15:48, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Something like this: Map3?
yes,you could remove the lakes on the map(like on macedonia-albania border as well),but you should add the dots for all capital cities you removed without adding their names(keep belgrado only),and you forgot to erase a tripoint between todays serbia, bosnia, montenegro Drax90 (talk) 07:36, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have no idea what tripoint you mean. Wereldburger758 (talk) 08:08, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
check the border between monenegro and serbia, and you will see that you forgot to erase it completely, and about the capitals make sure you put those dots only for slovenia, croatia, bosnia, macedonia, but in the part that represents union state of serbia and montenegro leave it with only belgrade represented Drax90 (talk) 12:10, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
one more thing, about the lakes, erase them from the albanian and greek side of the border as well Drax90 (talk) 12:14, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, removed the (very small) triangle. Furthermore, put the capitals back for slovenia, croatia, bosnia and macedonia. I will not erase the lakes because these are natural frontiers. If you want more changes made to the map, ask someone else. I have put too much time into making this map. Regards. Wereldburger758 (talk) 14:06, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
thank you very much! Drax90 (talk) 17:27, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Serb inhabited Balkan areas" Map request

[edit]
Hi there, you request a "Serb inhabited Balkan areas map" as I have done with the Romanian map.
Unfortunately I do not have too much time at the moment, but I might do it within a week or so.
Based on a bit of research I have found the following sources (maps):
  • Serbia: map
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina: map
  • Montenegro: map and map
  • Croatia: map
  • Republic of Macedonia: map
  • Romania: map
  • Greece: no significant population nor ethnic map
  • Bulgaria: no significant population
  • Hungary: no significant population (<2% in most municipalities) based on this map
  • Austria: mostly immigrants, no significant ethnic map
Did I miss any other countries? If so provide some sources (maps). Remember that I will show majority (>50%) and important minority (>10%).
Cheers! Scooter20 (talk) 20:55, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK do Serbia-with Kosovo,Bosnia(post war map),Croatia,Montenegro,thats all and please in high res Drax90 (talk) 16:50, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there,
The map is complete. You can view it here.
Tell me what you think!
Cheers! Scooter20 (talk) 01:00, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It is amazing but can you increase the size of the map, the biggest you can please, and thank you very much!? :D Drax90 (talk) 10:06, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, I guess I can increase it. But why would you want such a big map? And what is the new size that you would like for the map (currently it's around 1,694 × 1,480 pixels)?
Also, I am not sure if we should add very huge images to Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons. What do you want this map for? Do you want to use it on some articles? or do you have another non-wiki reason, like printing it to a large poster?
Scooter20 (talk) 10:24, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually i just want to have it for no particular reason, aint gonna print it or such just to enjoy the high res version if you can over 5000 px? Drax90 (talk) 13:03, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I forgot to build the 5000px image yesterday evening, I will do it this evening but I will not replace the image already on the wiki since there is no point to add such large files to the wiki servers. However I will add it to some file-sharing site so you can download it. I am still not sure what you intend to do with it but please do not use it for any kind of racist activity. Thank you! 09:35, 16 May 2012 (UTC)Scooter20 (talk)
You can access the large file here (remove spaces): h t t p : / / g o o . g l / L 2 1 K 1
Scooter20 (talk) 18:17, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It seems the url is not working?? can you give a direct link by posting it here so that i can immediately access it? Drax90 (talk) 16:45, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's working, you just need to delete ALL spaces ... because wiki won't allow URL shortenners to be added in talk pages.
Since you don't seem to be able to delete all spaces, try this direct link to Google Drive instead: click!
Please use File→Download from the Google Drive interface to get the large 5000px image! If you save from the browser you will get a smaller image (thumbnail)
