Could you help me write this article?

Hello,

I was wondering if you would be willing to help me write either Seikichi_Iha or Shorin-ryu_Shido-kan. Tkjazzer 21:48, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, the barnstar was no problem. I don't really know how extensive an easter egg hunt like that could be, but I sorta remembered how to do it from before. - AMP'd 13:27, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:PhpHQGGa8.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:PhpHQGGa8.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:48, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Edit on my IP talk page

Re. your message on my work IP of User talk:74.62.174.104, that edit was a couple of months ago before I decided to return as an editor. The user did such a silly edit and I was so incensed by it that I couldn't resist the dig. I wound up catching a lot more you-know-what than the vandal did. FYI, I used to spend a LOT of time fighting vandalism on this site. No more, thanks. I'm more content adding content.  :) --PMDrive1061 01:55, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Regarding Footboarding AfD

Hello, i was just a little confused as to what exactly you were nominating Footboarding for? If it was because you thought it was a hoax it is actually a real sport, though not very popular, if you could next time please be more clear when nominating articles for deletion. Thank you, and happy editing. Tiptoety 05:46, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

regarding Dr. Eric Seiger

Hello Domthedude001...you just sent me a message saying I would be blocked if I continued adding people to Wikipedia such as Dr. Eric Seiger. Dr. Seiger is world-renowned in his field. It only takes a moment's search on the Internet to see that. Please re-read what you wrote me; to me, it seems harsh and inappropriate. I do believe Dr. Seiger is a qualified candidate for Wikipedia. --Marshall —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shumashu (talkcontribs) 02:44, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Care Bears not a speedy...?

Hi! Why wouldn't that "kiddie-wiki" at "About Care Bears" not be a speedy? It might make for a redirect, but it's useless as it stands, plus there's already a Care Bears article. Just wonderin'.  :) --PMDrive1061 02:50, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

  • No prob. I'm easily confused.  :) Besides, I'm concerned that someone who is apparently pretty young added personal contact info. The internet is an ugly place. Thanks for "unconfusing" me. --PMDrive1061 02:54, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
  • Oh, no...I meant the person who I assume is a young girl and who added the article, not you. She put down way too much personal info. God, I hope that article's gone and that an admin warns her for her own good. --PMDrive1061 03:00, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Lord, ain't that the truth? I just left word with a new user who's trying to contest the speedy of a blatant (and very short) ad for his home-based computer company; see my edit history. He seems to think that if his article can't stay, then we should delete the article on Microsoft while we're at it. I just love rationalization like that! Anyway, thanks as always for the smile. --PMDrive1061 03:07, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi Dom! I'm not sure how familiar you are with the AfC process, I've not seen your name around there before, but that obviously doesn't mean I know everyone who participates, lol. Anyway, if you know all of this, please just ignore me, but I thought I'd let you know that when closing a submission, you have to be sure you have a header and a footer, or else what happens is, all submissions following the one you close are hidden inside your closed submission, [1] and don't appear on the page. Additionally, the headers need to be substituted, so the top will be either {{subst:afc r}} or {{subst:afc a}}, and at the bottom, will be {{subst:afc b}} at the minimum. Ideally though, the additional parameter is put above the footer, such as {{subst:afc bio}}, etc. I've fixed the page so the rest of the submissions show, but if you'd like, (and again, if you just forgot, but already know this, feel free to nuke this message and ignore it) there are full instructions on WP:AFCR, and the various closing templates can be found at WP:AFC/Templates. If you are new to AfC, then let me welcome you! And if you're not new, then let me just say hello anyway, and Cheers! ArielGold 00:05, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on GalleryPlayer, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because GalleryPlayer is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting GalleryPlayer, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. The article D-Link G604T Network Adaptor has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is no verifiability, its all original research and its not a notable product. Find at least one neutral review, or really this article should go.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jez t e C 19:06, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:GamerzNeeds_logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading File:GamerzNeeds_logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. File:GamerzNeeds_screenshot.png

I have tagged File:GamerzNeeds_screenshot.png as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. Otherwise, it will be deleted in seven days. Melesse (talk) 19:11, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Hey Mel, for this image (and the one above), I have permission to use the copyrighted content. Could you please help me out with the appropriate templates/tags? Thanks. --Domthedude001 19:35, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
I somewhat doubt you have permission to use all the copyrighted content (primarily the game pictures within the page), so the screenshot still falls under fair use. Fair use images should be used only in live articles, they're not acceptable for articles in progress that you're building in your userspace. In the future, I suggest you hold off on uploading unfree images until the article is created, and use a placeholder image when you're building the article in your userspace. Melesse (talk) 22:20, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Non-free files in your user space

Hey there Domthedude001, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Domthedude001/GamerzNeeds. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

Fair use rationale for File:GoogleAnswers.PNG

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:GoogleAnswers.PNG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:30, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

The article GamerzNeeds has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The only attempt to claim notability here is through forum numbers/views which, while certainly comprising a "BIGNUMBER", is apparently not big enough to have generated anything resembling a reliable source as far as I can find. If someone can find a reliable source and contests the prod, please also stubify this complete mess of an article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
