Please do not add or change content, as you did at Katy Perry, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. General Ization Talk 23:07, 18 June 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. TJRC (talk) 06:05, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
Streaming release dates
We only add release dates where a song was released independently of the album. "Exile" is not officially a single until it is released to radio on August 3rd. This is standard practise, otherwise every time an album is released for streaming, everyone would claim it was a single. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 20:05, 27 July 2020 (UTC)

- Good deal. I'd recommend you take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums/Album_article_style_advice#Track_listing: simply, there is no single style for track listings at Wikipedia (for better or worse), so in this case, the style for this page is a numbered list. DYK for Cardigan (song)
On 12 August 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Cardigan (song), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Taylor Swift wrote the lyrics to the song "Cardigan" to co-writer Aaron Dessner's music in around five hours? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Cardigan (song)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

"Betty" cover
Hi, you've added this image as the British single cover art, but it doesn't seem like Swift has released a CD single for this song in the UK. Can you explain why you captioned it this way? If the source link provided on the file information page is true, it's from a random HDD tweet and shouldn't be used at all.--NØ 06:12, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: Ok thanks for this information! I found it on Wikimedia Commons and thought I would use it, although it doesn’t seem like that was right now that you’ve brought it up. The description said it was released as a single in the UK, so that explains the caption. Thanks so much! Doggy54321 (talk) 12:33, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
Changes to "Smile"
Regarding your edit here, how did you determine "What Makes a Woman" is a promo single as opposed to an official single? I may have missed something calling it one but either way couldn't tell how you reached such a conclusion. Also, while we might not need the "more to come" bit, I'd like to point out that her response was in fact in the given link. You just probably have to do some scrolling to find that when it gets buried among newer comments. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 21:06, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi @SNUGGUMS: thank you for following my talk page format! There is no confirmation that this is a single, Perry did not confirm it and there are no reliable sources that confirm it’s a single. Because it was released as promo from the album, and is not a single, it is considered a promotional single. I didn’t think of it as a single, but then @Rangel Carregosa made this edit, and I thought "Oh that makes more sense, it should be classified as a promotional single" and ran with it, causing me to make those edits. Thank you for pointing the Instagram comment link thing out, I tried to look for it but couldn’t find it, hence my edit. Thanks so much! Doggy54321 (talk) 21:26, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- You're welcome. The fact that Katy wrote "What Makes A Woman is out now" appeared to suggest single release when such posts are quite common for that type of release, though I see where you're coming from with promo for the album when she also brings up a pre-order for Smile now that I read through it again. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 21:34, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah I agree. It would be awesome if it was announced as a third single, but we have no direct confirmation, so for now, I think it’s best to keep it as a promotional single, and await further confirmation from a WP:RS. Doggy54321 (talk) 21:40, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

@SNUGGUMS: hi again! If you take a look over at Smile (Katy Perry album), "What Makes a Woman" was sent to Australian radio today, therefore becoming the third single. Just wanted to mention that! Doggy54321 (talk) 13:35, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

- SNUGGUMS we've determined that Australian radio sourced from The Music Network is not reliable on its own. Doggy54321 the singles from Folklore were serviced via All Access which is a radio-industry endorsed platform. TMN isn't and has proven to be dubious/and claimed multiple songs have been released in the past. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 16:35, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

- SNUGGMS it was discussed at Talk:Sour_Candy_(Lady_Gaga_and_Blackpink_song). I also brought it up at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Songs#Why_The_Music_Network_shouldn't_be_used_for_release_dates. Still editing the 2020 vmas page
Hey I'm still editing the page right now. I just saved that edit first because I had to step away from my pc. That's why I didn't remove the template. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 00:32, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Carlobunnie: shoot! I’m so sorry, I just thought since you made your edit it should be removed as I had a couple things I would like to add. Super sorry, maybe in the future I should let the person who added the template be the one to remove it. Thanks so much for pointing this out! Doggy54321 (talk) 00:36, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

Please do not use changed names of subjects in articles whose events preceded the name change, as you did in Lover (album). Sources
Moved from Talk:Ice Cream (Blackpink and Selena Gomez song)
Doggy54321 I noticed that when you add updates you mostly use primary sources i.e. youtube videos. You should also include a reliable secondary source that supports or states the same info you add to the article. Like the edit you recently made for the animated dance video where you wrote "Part of the dance routine was used in the official music video". While this may be true it's like the equivalent of original research, one can't know this unless they go watch both videos as it isn't stated in the video either (since it's not a making of or a behind the scenes explaining the correlation). But if you have media article that covered the animated video and discussed what it has in common with the orig mv then that would correctly support your edit. Otherwise you'll have to remove that sentence and just leave the part saying the video was uploaded, but you'd still need an additional ref of a reliable source saying so like I did for the teaser, mv and bts videos. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 04:24, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Carlobunnie: hi! Thanks so much for this message! I’ll definitely keep this in mind while I’m adding video content and think to use AV Media in the citation. Also, I moved this from the Ice Cream talk page as it seems to be better suited on my talk page. Thanks so much again for the tip! Doggy54321 (talk) 13:13, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
Can you slow down a little?
I kind of touched on this above with the VMAs article, but I feel like I need to say something again. It's a little annoying how quickly you jump in right after I've made an edit to make more changes or "fix" something like you did just now on "Ice Cream". I went back in to add the Notes section and lo and behold you'd done it already (excluding your 3 "fixes" to what I wrote). I get that you're enthusiastic about editing and it's great that you care but man if you'd just waited a min or two I would have done it myself. I edit from my phone and my screen is slightly cracked so sometimes it takes me a min or 2 longer to do something than if I was on a desktop or working with a perfect touchscreen. I didn't forget to add it and honestly it felt like you were impatient with how fast you swooped in. I'm not perfect. Sometimes I'll hit back or enter or fullstop and the touch won't register and my edit will save with an error in it which I won't see until I'm reviewing the page after I save, but you gotta give people time to do stuff. I'm not trying to bring you down or anything but it really bothered me, especially when your other immediate edits unnecessarily split a properly worded sentence and moved a footnote to the middle of the same sentence which is messy. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 01:35, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Carlobunnie: hi Carlobunnie. To keep a long answer short, it’s purely because I checked my watchlist a minute after you made your edit. I saw you added an
{{efn}}
template and didn’t see a "Notes" section (I thought you had forgotten), so I added it. To respond to the fixes, I made those edits as I thought things should be fixed, and they ended up being 3 separate edits. When I see that you’ve made an edit, I’ll make sure to think about the fact that you have a cracked/slow phone, and if you make an edit and something doesn’t feel right I’ll wait a few minutes before swooping in. I’ll also try to do this with other editors. Thanks for pointing this out! Doggy54321 (talk) 02:07, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
The Album (Blackpink album)
Hi! Just seeking clarification behind this good faith edit to The Album (Blackpink album). Did you feel the content was not listed in the source used? I've had a look at the source and personally felt it was adequate. The page used as a reference has an article (The edit in which it was added even linked to it, albeit incorrectly) and is generally considered a reliable source. I'm not intending to criticize, just seeking to understand how you came to that decision. (Please ping me when you reply :-) ). – Sean Stephens (talk) 00:38, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

On 20 September 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Folklore (Taylor Swift album), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. No
I have not broken the 3RR rule. I have not committed three reversions within a 24-hour time frame on that page. And you are wrong again: I have worked on this article significantly in the past and ensured "pop" is supported with numerous sources and paraphrased quotations from professional reviews cited in the Critical reception section. If either of you had bothered to actually read the article instead of scrutinizing one little area of the infobox (WP:GWAR), you'd have found at least four reviewers who explicitly call it a pop album, including one who says it shows "almost no trace of country", while finding none that call it a country album (Red_(Taylor_Swift_album)#Critical_reception). I didn't want to stoop to this desperate need for explaining what is out there in the open for you in the article, but I have. Furthermore, this RfC at the article's talk page had led to the consensus that the genres read as "Pop, country, rock". I'll be reverting the IP soon again if you're really that obtuse to ignore the facts. isento (talk) 19:49, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Isento: ok. It’s just that you and the IP seemed to be edit warring. Also: if you didn’t want to "stoop to this desperate need" to explain, why didn’t you just add a link in your edit summary? It would send the message to the IP that you have sources to back your claims up, and said sources would have been right in front of their nose. Instead, you just said "Go to the 'Critical Reception' part of the article", which didn’t seem to work. Also, if you would have paid attention, you would’ve realized I was on your side (also just reverted the IP). I was just trying to be empathetic to the IP and assume good faith, because when I was just starting on Wikipedia, I engaged in multiple edit wars about stylization, synthesis, citing sources and more. I was confused and didn’t know what to do. Luckily, multiple people have taught me lessons, and I have grown because of it. The IP isn't vandalizing, sure they broke the 3RR rule (but to be fair they probably don’t know what that is), and I’m sure the IP is just doing it to make Wikipedia better. Confetti
I'm not going to get involved in the edits between you and various IPs as to whether this album will be released on Columbia or not, but I'll just say that it's very likely – RCA UK is owned by Sony Music who also own Columbia, so it's quite possible that it will be released on Columbia outside the UK. I totally understand that we should have 100% confirmation of that information before adding it, but keep your eyes open for confirmation at the earliest possible opportunity. ;-) Richard3120 (talk) 21:58, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Richard3120: yes thank you! I'm constantly checking my watch page seeing if someone is gonna add a source! To be completely honest, I’m pretty sure Columbia will have a hand in the releasing stage, but it against Wikipedia policy to add unsourced material into an article. Both singles have been released under RCA, so that’s already confirmed, but I just need a source from an IP actually backing up their statement. Thanks so much!!! Rollback granted
Hi Doggy54321. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Album chronologies
The consensus was to use just one chronology. There was no set position about all items in a chronology having links. The way to solve that is to pipe links to the artists' chronology. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 21:56, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Lil-unique1: hi. If you take a look at this edit summary by Isento reverting one of my edits to Reputation (Taylor Swift album), you can see that I tried to change the chronology to make it true to the Taylor Swift discography page, but Isento said "Template:Infobox album#Chronology says the establish a 'chain,' (which is defined as a succession of items forming a line), but linking to a table at the discography page would break the chain." If we were to apply this back to A Very Trainor Christmas, the album doesn’t have a page, so you can’t link to the discography page or leave the link black, as that would be breaking said chain. Thanks so much! Doggy54321 (talk) 22:05, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
Taylor
Dear Doggy54321, I've noticed that you appreciate Taylor, so I just thought that you could help me if you want to. Speak Now, Fearless and 1989 sold more million copies than wikipedia refers to, so if you could find a link that proves it, it would be really nice and Taylor would be very thankful. Greetings Boxing Day 29 (talk) 14:54, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Boxing Day 29! Unfortunately, I cannot do that, as copies don’t equal sales. I assume you’re talking about the sales at Taylor Swift discography. HD reverted your edit to that page, saying that certified units don’t equal sales. The columns in the discography page say sales. Also - you can’t cite fandom pages as you did here, they are not reliable. Also also - do you want to join the Taylor Swift WikiProject? It’s dedicated to helping Wikipedia's coverage of Taylor Swift. I’m in it, and it’s been so fun already! Hope this helps! Doggy54321 (talk) 15:15, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi, User:Mirrored7 has an history of disruptive edits and senseless edits with fan-movtivated, invalid edit summaries. They have also been banned from editing once, temporarily. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Ariana Grande; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Woody (talk) 11:51, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
Also, please note that per the notice giving you rollback rights above, it should not be used for good faith edits or to edit war. This is a blatant example of both. If you continue to misuse rollback then you are liable to lose the user right. Woody (talk) 11:51, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Woody: hello. I’m sorry for misusing my rollback permissions, my hand slipped, I hit the wrong button, and had to step away from my device. It’s my fault for not checking after and reverting myself.
- In response to the edit war, this one IP address keeps removing the same two words without ever explaining why. It’s frustrating, I’ve used edit summaries to tell them to stop, but they continue to do it. I have lost my ability to assume good faith, and I have told them multiple times to stop, yet they continue to do it. I continue to say that it’s "unexplained removal of content", but they don’t listen and revert anyways (examples 1, 2 and 3). I’ll try leaving a message on their talk page to ask them to stop, but I’m fed up at this point, especially since this isn’t the first time, this IP changed addresses, and was doing this about a week ago as well (examples 1 and 2). If they continue to do this, I’ll be requesting semi-protection to the page. Thanks! Doggy54321 (talk) 12:05, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- All understood with the rollback, it happens.
- In terms of edit warring on Ariana Grande, are we talking about the same thing? You are currently edit warring with User talk:Modern184 amongst many other reverts going on at that page. Their talk page hasn't been edited since May 2020. Please note that edit summaries are not a suitable place to have a discussion with someone. Woody (talk) 12:21, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Woody: oh my literal gosh. I’m laughing my head off. I thought you were talking about the Lover Fest page as I had just come back from editing that. Sorry, I’m off today. In response to that edit war, what exactly happened??? They removed without reason, and said, and I quote, "The existing consensus is that 'songwriter' should be listed, if anyone disagrees with that they should take it to the talk page." First off, there is no consensus, two users just got blocked over this exact thing. Then, I reverted their edit and said "what consensus? I looked at the talk page and it came up blank", which it did. There is no consensus. Also, I did take it to the talk page right after to express my concerns. So, I don’t think anything has really happened, but thanks for letting me know! Doggy54321 (talk) 12:27, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- I know two users have been blocked and I came from the RFPP request. They were blocked for edit warring, the same activity you were conducting. If you think an edit is contentious (which the twenty reverts in the last 48 hours would suggest) then take it to the talk page and in particular invite them to the discussion on the talk page. You are one of a number of people who have been reverting without discussion (except in edit summaries which does not count as discussion). All of the "what consensus?" chat should have been on the talk page. Woody (talk) 13:18, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Woody: ok thanks for the tips. I’ll take this into account when I’m disagreeing with another editor. Just a question: if I ping a user after we disagree on something and they go ahead and make other contributions and ignore my request to chat, what should I do in that situation? Thanks! Doggy54321 (talk) 15:21, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- I appreciate you taking it onboard. I see exactly this kind of problem in terms of lack of engagement on one side all the time. First, try and gain a consensus on the talk page. After a reasonable amount of time, if there is a consensus (or no engagement on the talk page) you can make the change on the page. If they then continue to edit without discussion then you can report them for edit warring at WP:ANEW. Woody (talk) 16:47, 4 October 2020 (UTC) Woody (talk) 16:47, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

Hey, just as an FYI -- it's a bit cruel to mention by username someone somewhere they're unable to respond. The edit summary looks a bit like gloating. —valereee (talk) 17:06, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Valereee: Ok, I wasn’t intentionally trying to do that. User:Woody mentioned that I accidentally abused my rollback permissions, and I couldn’t revert myself as more edits to the page had happened, so I made a dummy edit and explained why. It wasn’t intentional. Thanks! Doggy54321 (talk) 17:43, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi Doggy54321, You had sent me a message about the Wonder (Shawn Mendes album) and I was wondering if you could put back what I wrote please, but help me make it better so I could keep it up on there please. Again, I am asking if you could put back what I wrote on there please and thank you. (Shawnmendesfan16 (talk) 17:59, 7 October 2020 (UTC)) Shawnmendesfan16
- @Shawnmendesfan16: hey! I can’t put back what you have written on the pure account that it’s speculation. Per Wikipedia’s guidelines, you’re not supposed to add speculation to an article, even if sources back this up. If Shawn supposedly starts dating someone, we as Wikipedians shouldn’t allow that info to end up on Wikipedia until it’s confirmed by multiple sources. Just like how we shouldn’t add the set list because it is not confirmed to be anything yet. As part of the Mendes Army we are shook to our cores and completely think this is the album tracklist or the tour setlist, but as Wikipedians we have to come at this with a neutral point of view. If you want to read more, see WP:CRYSTALBALL, it details this much better than I could ever. Hopefully this helped. For more reading, please see Talk:Wonder (Shawn Mendes album)#Set list on the floor, I wrote it a couple hours ago. Thanks so much! Doggy54321 (talk) 18:12, 7 October 2020 (UTC)

- @Shawnmendesfan16: hey. That citation is the same one as before. Please actually read my comment above. I had to revert your edit. Also: instead of typing out your name at the end of chats to sign off, you should do four tildes (~~~~), that automatically puts your name, talk page link and the date and time you added the comment. Thanks so much! Doggy54321 (talk) 18:39, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
Hi Doggy54321, I don't underatand on how to keep my edit up above can you help me with that please? thank you, Shawnmendesfan16 (talk) 18:42, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Shawnmendesfan16: hey. Your edit goes against Wikipedia policies and that is why I keep reverting it. The uproxx source is no different that the billboard source, it speculates. You need multiple, reliable sources that state that that the set list is an album tracklist is a fact before adding it to Wikipedia. Period. You can’t do anything else at this point. I’m sorry, but I can’t help you right now. We don’t have sources. Doggy54321 (talk) 18:45, 7 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I can't understand why you have you revert everything without any sense, I will ask you to stop please, your contributions aren't good for Little Mix' pages and please, don't keep hidden the Confetti page, it's senseless. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikezarco (talk • contribs) 10:35, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
- Huh???? Are you talking about the draft Confetti page or the Glory Days/Get Weird pages? I reverted the Confetti edits because they were all not constructive and unsourced, and the GD/GW pages were unsourced. Please confirm what you mean. Doggy54321 (talk) 11:04, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
Hello!! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, I all I wanted to know was is that when is going to the draft Confetti page is going to be out. About the Glory Days and Get Weird pages, I wanted to write when they were recorded because the girls had already said that in an interview but I'm not sure I'll remember, sorry for the inconveniences. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikezarco (talk • contribs) 11:57, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Mikezarco: ok. The draft Confetti page can’t be submitted until it’s notable enough, and admins have left comments saying "Don’t re-submit this" and people keep submitting it. For the other two, you need to cite sources even for things like recording years. Also, don’t forget to sign your posts using four tildes (~~~~)! Thanks! The Music Network
Hi, I've seen you called it an unreliable source, and I was wondering if you could spill some more tea on that? We use it as a reliable source for Australian radio singles on it.wiki, so if and why The Music Network is to be discared, I'd like to know. Thank you! ×°˜`°×ηαη¢у×°˜`°× 23:41, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Merynancy: hey! If you look here, you can see that it’s deemed unreliable. It shouldn’t be used for Australian radio, at all. It is completely unreliable. That is why What Makes a Woman and Sour Candy (Lady Gaga and Blackpink song) aren’t singles, because they only have radio play from TMN. If you could do me a favour and remove all the TMN sources and their content, that would be great! Doggy54321 (talk) 01:02, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Little Mix: The Search
Hi there, I apologised for the edits made for results before realising that you have given a reason as to why they were removed, deeming the sources as unreliable. Just want to check for future edits, what would make the edit credible based on which sources? Thank you. Sketchy9908 (talk) 22:16, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
- That’s fine, I accept your apology! I’m glad you created an account! For right now, it doesn’t seem fit to add the contestant info until the show is over, that way it doesn’t turn into speculation. As far as sourcing goes, I’d like you to read over the criteria for reliable sources at WP:RS. TellyMix, for example, is unreliable, as there are a bunch of ads and their articles are written like blogs. Examples of reliable sources include Billboard and Rolling Stone. As far as social media goes, you shouldn’t cite social media unless extremely necessary. For example, if Perrie had a baby and she posted about it on Twitter, we would add the info into the article with the Twitter source, and replace it with reliable sources later. But unless it’s breaking news, social media isn’t all that reliable. Hope you decide to stay on Wikipedia! Have a great day/night! Doggy54321 (talk) 22:24, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your clarification and for the examples you have provided. I will look into the link regarding reliable sources that you have provided. You have a great day/night too! Sketchy9908 (talk) 22:31, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

I can cut out the Members advancing column if that is a problem, but the groups did sing those songs. Is it not worth tracking them? And I can source the BBC youtube videos, if you give a bit of time to line up the references. Edwyth (talk) 22:20, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
- If you can source them, sure. YouTube shouldn’t be cited unless something is in the description, otherwise it’s WP:SYNTH. For example, YouTube can be cited for the songs and groups if they are mentioned in the description or title. Same with members. But if the song and members aren’t in the title/description, that would be synthesis of material. Please remove any unsourced content, though. If you’re gonna add it to the article, source it. If you need, I can re-add the table, as long as you provide links. Until you’ve sourced it, please remove it from the article, though. Thanks so much for clarifying though! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 22:25, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
- Ok, I added links to the youtube videos, unfortunately the songs weren't mentioned in the notes of the video, so that is WP:SYNTH, BUT for the members advancing the links I provided in the video's description it explicitly listed as the final line-up for each group.Edwyth (talk) 22:42, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
Edit Warring Redux
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Ariana Grande; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Exile Vocal Range
The issue here is that MusicNotes is not reliable source for the vocal range of the singers in the song, as it is an arrangement that is written with the purpose of being sung by one person and thus does not change register for when it is being sung by the female voice Taylor Swift compared to the male voice Justin Vernon. The source is not detailing the vocal range of Justin Vernon and Taylor Swift in exile but rather is detailing the vocal range of the arrangement that MusicNotes itself has made. Because of this it is incorrect to take that information and say that it is indicative of the vocal range of the duo in the song. There is a range difference of an octave from where Taylor Swift enters on the melody compared to Justin Vernon's part but that is not notated in the MusicNotes arrangement. Justin Vernon's lowest note in the song is a Cb2 which is easily discernible from a Cb3, and this is even described in the write-up of the song as it talks about his low-register baritone. A Cb3 would not fall under the parameters of low-register baritone, and we need to recognize that MusicNotes is not an accurate source always for male vocal registers since it is not written in that notation and register. Chukulem (talk) 14:33, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- If you can provide multiple examples of times MusicNotes has been unreliable, you can start a discussion at WP:SONGS to get a wider perspective. You need to provide multiple times something has been messed up, otherwise how do we know you’re not lying. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 14:42, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
Every single arrangement on MusicNotes is accompanied by the notice under the arrangement details tab that "The Arrangement Details Tab gives you detailed information about this particular arrangement of [the song] - not necessarily the song." (in this specific instance the song being Piano Man by Billy Joel which also includes the incorrect octave designation) https://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0136416#ProductDetails It isn't that MusicNotes is unreliable, it's that it isn't claiming that as being the range of the singers in the song. Despite that Wikipedia users use that info to incorrectly claim that as being the range of the singers in the song because they don't understand the difference in octaves and range. Here is another source from MusicNotes that provides more info on vocal range which would let you know that most Wikipedia articles detailing the vocal range of male vocalists in songs is off by an octave and does not fit with what MusicNotes itself describes as the male voice types and corresponding vocal ranges. https://www.musicnotes.com/now/tips/determine-vocal-range/ Wikipedia song articles that detail the vocal range of male singers correctly are the exception and not the norm, and taking the vocal range given in the MusicNotes arrangement at face value needs an overhaul. Chukulem (talk) 16:45, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
We shouldn't just use "defer to the source" as the explanation when the source is not intended to describe what is happening in the song, but is instead being written for the purpose of describing what is happening in their arrangement of the song. Using that as a source to then say that it's what happening in the song is incorrect. That's an incorrect application of the information and is present all over Wikipedia which is fairly problematic. Little Mix extra album covers
Don't get wound up about the editor readding these pictures - they are already all nominated for deletion at Files for Discussion, so it's best to let the discussion play out... no point getting yourself blocked again for getting carried away with your reverts. I know it's frustrating to see things we personally consider to be "wrong" stay on Wikipedia for a few days, but sometimes it's better to wait and do things through the official channels. Just don't want to see you get blocked again for something that will probably be sorted out soon anyway. Richard3120 (talk) 13:13, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Resubmitting a draft when it does not satisfy the instructions of the reviewer is similar to edit-warring. You have been blocked twice for edit-warring. Please listen to the advice of other editors and reviewers. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:26, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Robert McClenon: hey. I re-submitted the draft because it met the criteria. User:AngusWOOF said that the article needed to be reliably sourced, which the article has since been. The comment made that the album needs to be released and the article needs charting/reviews stopped showing up for me, therefore I couldn’t see it when I submitted it.
- In response to paid editing accusations...I- no I just love Little Mix a lot and edit their articles frequently. If any member of Little Mix were to look in my direction I’d be flattered, but no I am not getting payed by them to edit Wikipedia. That would go against everything Wikipedia, along with I, stand for. Not to be disrespectful, but could you assume good faith?
- Also, about once a week an IP re-submits this draft, so could you not penalize me for others' actions? By your comment it seems like I will be getting all the flack if anyone re-submits.
- Thank you for reviewing the draft. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 18:17, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- First, you only get flack on a resubmission if you are the resubmitting editor. If an IP submits it, the IP will get the flack.
- Second, if the message from User:AngusWOOF not to resubmit the draft until it was reviewed and charted disappeared, that would be a bug, and you can report that at Village Pump or some other forum.
- Third, if you disagreed with a reviewer, because they said that the draft was not properly sourced, but you had reference-bombed it with low-quality sources, that it a reason to ask a question of the reviewer, or to resubmit it with a comment on the draft talk page or in AFC comments. Just resubmitting the draft and ignoring the reviewer comments because you disagree is not helpful. More precisely, if you do that, just resubmitting without addressing the reason for the decline, the reviewers assume that you are gaming the system and are trying to find any easy or lazy reviewer. You are more likely to find a reviewer who knows where the Reject button is, or knows how to request a partial block. So don't just resubmit because you think the reviewer was wrong. Some of us reviewers can both walk and chew gum at the same time. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:41, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- Fourth, if there really is a problem with an IP, and if they really are not you, you can request semi-protection of the draft. Normally a reviewer assumes that the IP is the submitter editing logged out. If there is an IP problem, request semi-protection. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:41, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Robert McClenon: thanks for the info. I tried everything, and when I restarted my iPad, I found that everything came back, the comments and all. Probably just a problem on my end. If I see anything like this I will most definitely report to Village Pump.
- I didnt know you could add comments when submitting a draft, maybe I’ll look at the AFC guidelines to make sure I know what I’m doing in the future, to stop any potential partial-blocks.
- I’ll be monitoring the page and if it gets vandalized again I’ll report to WP:RFPP.
- Thanks so much! (Sorry for the late reply, I was on-and-off wifi for a couple hours) D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 22:47, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- By reviewing, I meant external news and magazine sources providing detailed ALBUM reviews, not reviews of the songs, and not Wikipedia editors reviewing. Also that it needs charting if it were already released. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 21:46, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- @AngusWOOF: Thanks for clarifying! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 22:48, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
October 2020
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Confetti (Little Mix album) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Draft:Confetti (Little Mix album). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. CountyCountry (talk) 19:01, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- @CountyCountry: huh? I can’t see this at all. There is no "Move" button in the "More" section. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 19:08, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hmm. I can see it. The move button is under the "more" button, which is right next to the search bar. CountyCountry (talk) 19:11, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- @CountyCountry: I realize I didn’t indicate that I’m on an iPad, and that option isn’t available to me. Can I ask you to move pages when I need them? I am going to be looking through my contributions later on, I’ll try to find where I copy and pasted. I will be letting you know as soon as I find them. Thanks so much! (Sorry for the late reply, I was on-and-off wifi for a couple hours) D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 22:46, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- You can ask me if you want an article moved, but there is a way to move an article on an iPad. A way is you could go down to the bottom of the page. You should see a button that says "Desktop". Click on that, and it should take you to the computer version of Wikipedia. Once you're there, you can see the "More" tab right next to the search bar. Click on that, and the move button comes up. Sometimes I edit using my phone, and this is the way I do it when I can't find the option that I want when using the mobile version. Also, if you are not able to move a page (can sometimes occur), you could request a move at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests. Hope this helps! I already know 1 of the band member's surnames. From Melladaze, Ellie's surname is Allen. I know that because she was a former contestant on Got What It Takes? shown on CBBC. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Annamargarita0 (talk • contribs)
- @Annamargarita0: The sources provided for band names only state their first names. If you add a last name, that is synthesis of material (WP:SYNTH). You would need to provide a source stating their first name and last name. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 18:14, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

Confetti Tracklist
Hello, I don't get why you've reverted the tracklist, the girls have revealed the tracklist via alexa, you say "Alexa, drop some Confetti", and then you have an audio of each girl saying x track is number x, you know, it's official, it's the only source I can provide. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikezarco (talk • contribs) 11:59, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Mikezarco: Ok, then it can’t be added. You need a source explicitly stating each and every track to add it to the article. I know about the track list and have asked my friends who have Alexa to FaceTime me and try it, and I know that it works. But, we need sources that state the track list. Don’t worry: the girls will probably release a Twitter statement in a couple hours with the full track list, I’ll keep updating their Twitter as well as Apple Music. But for now, unless you can find a source stating "Track 4 is Confetti, Track 7 is...", then we can’t add it for right now. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:05, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
Add back The Ninja Sex Party album
Hi why did you deleted it?? I understamd it isn't on any charts but i don't think it will ever?? Add it back or i will sir because they have other albums and there own wiki pages so put it back NOW SIR DO IT OR I WILL UNDERSTAND?!? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:92C0:3B20:C5F:66E6:97C6:5B72 (talk) 21:05, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

- Lmao I’m dead laughing. First off, this is informal, call me Doggy/Doggy54321. Sir makes it sound like I have authority over you or you do over me, which isn’t true. I deleted the album page because it didn’t meet the notability guidelines for albums or the general notability guidelines. For it to be re-added it must be supported by reliable sources (the general guidelines go into detail about this) and the album must meet at least one of the criteria of the album guidelines. Important to point out that notability is not inherited, each album needs to demonstrate notability, so I don’t give a flying crap that they have other Wiki articles, this one isn’t notable. If you add it back I’ll revert it in a snap, unless you make sure it’s notable. If you want to continue working on the article, tell me and I’ll arrange for a draftspace article to be created so that you can continue working on it while the article does not remain in the mainspace. To clarify: a draft space article is not public, and cannot be accessed by the general public, so it’s a great opportunity to work on the album page while it not breaking Wiki rules. Hope this helps! also how do i make notable?!? there not gonna have a super big single?!? and how is it breaking wiki rules what was put there that made it not work or work for wiki's rules?!? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:92C0:3B20:C5F:66E6:97C6:5B72 (talk) 21:44, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- You can’t make it notable, the album has to be notable itself. I see that all the other NSP articles have reliable sources and charting, meaning that they are notable. As soon as this album meets the guidelines you can re-add it. What "broke" (use that word loosely) the rules was that the album was a) not notable and b) not sourced properly. Hope this helps. Confetti
Hello – I was just having looking at draft articles (since I'm an AFC reviewer) and realised I can move Confetti to the mainspace, provided it is submitted, since I obviously cannot submit and review it myself. The article is more than ready to be accepted, so if you want to submit it, I can ensure it'll get a "fast track" (while still unbiased) review. – DarkGlow (talk) 16:06, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
@DarkGlow: thanks so much. I’ll submit this as soon as I clean it up (in the next hour), I’d just like to finish the composition section and clean everything up. You are a saviour. One note: the mainspace page is currently admin protected for edit warring until 23:00 UTC tonight. I don’t know how we can bypass this to get the article into the mainspace before that time. Ss112 is trying to get the page protection lowered so that the article can be moved. Thanks so much! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 16:18, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
- It sounds like you most likely won't need my help in reviewing it now, but if you do, just leave a message on my talk page as I will see the notification within seconds – and that goes for anything you need reviewing in future too, since we stan a lot of the same artists. – DarkGlow (✉) 16:33, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Just to confirm: the article is now supported my multiple reliable sources (more than 20) that do not just show passing mentions, rather the entire article is about the subject. The album has been released in some territories already. The article also has detailed album reviews. These are things reviewers have commented on before in the past, and I am just showing that they are all resolved. The mainspace is still protected, so I’ve made all the edits I would need to in case I can’t edit the page for a few hours. I’ll request lower page protection so that the article can be moved. - @Abby Marie Cole: hi. You’re not the person who keeps doing that to the page. If you are, that can be viewed as sockpuppetry. Please ask the IP who is doing that to come talk to me. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 20:22, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
Sorry, it was me. I just wasn’t logged into my account for some reason. Abby Marie Cole (talk) 20:36, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Abby Marie Cole: ah lol. I keep removing it for a couple reasons:
- It’s unsourced. Content without a source is generally kept off of Wikipedia as it is not verifiable.
- It’s not needed. It’s obvious that the group who moved on got the most votes. Even with tonight’s episode, it’s obvious that they chose Since September to move on since New Priority was eliminated.
- It’s not written properly. For example, it should be "Little Mix" instead of "the girls".
- If you can provide a reliable source at my talk (that states explicitly "Jade voted for Melladaze" or "Perrie voted for Since September"), please do. I’ll add it back since me saying "It’s not needed" is more an opinion than a fact. I’ll also reword it. As long as you provide a source. Please also try to stay logged in while editing ! Thanks! - @Abby Marie Cole: hey. Saturday was a very busy day for me, I wasn’t on Wikipedia at all. I came back and realized you had added them back, but that they were in the live performances section. It didn’t seem appropriate to have them there, so I moved them to the episodes section, under the short summaries for episodes 7 and 8. Maybe you just missed that. Jasper Blue is eliminated from the competition,[31] after a majority vote by Little Mix members Thirlwall, Pinnock and Edwards (Nelson was not required to vote as the vote was already majority) went to Melladaze.[32]
From "Semi-Final" short summary:The vote is a tie between Pinnock and Nelson (New Priority) and Edwards and Thirlwall (Since September). After deliberation, Pinnock is elected spokesperson and eliminates New Priority from the competition and sends Since September to the finals.[34]

Confetti
The album booklet doesn't credit Jessy Nelson on "Confetti". There is as scan of the album cover here. Additionally you can't claim that Apple Music has been used for the credits therefore that goes. It doesn't work like that, there is no consensus that Apple Music is more correct than Spotify or Tidal. There are more sources saying she didn't write the song than there are that say she did, including the album booklet itself. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 21:07, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

Be tracklist
The korean romanizations and english translations are present in all of their tracklists. Some recent examples are MOTS:7 and MOTS:Persona. Shouldn't we apply the same standard in Be? - Ivanacccp (talk) 13:32, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Ivanacccp: hey. I’m not that involved with kpop, I watch a couple Blackpink and BTS articles and that’s it. I guess you can add it back, it just seems awkward that the titles are so long. Also - maybe keep out the English translations. It’s super weird. If the title is in English and we are adding a Korean title plus romanization, it doesn’t make sense to add more English translations, because the Korean is just a translation of the English title. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 13:44, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Doggy54321: I agree, but the english version of the korean title is not always a direct translation. Sometimes they mean completely different things, and that's where more english translations are needed. Example: Boy with Luv/작은 것들을 위한 시 (a poem for small things) and Telepathy/잠시 (for a moment/momentarily). - Ivanacccp (talk) 14:31, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Note regarding trolls
Hi Doggy54321. In the future, I would avoid making comments like these. [2][3] These kinds of comments are counterproductive because they often have the unintended effect of motivating the vandal to continue their disruptive behavior. Whenever you are talking to a user who is obviously a troll, it's usually best to report them to administrators and then ignore them entirely. Just don't try to interact with them. The goal is to make them bored—see also WP:DENY. Thanks, Mz7 (talk) 01:21, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

BTS Be
Hello, I don't know if you've seen my reply to your comment so I'm going to add it here just in case you didn't.
The sources you have shown don't really prove anything. Spotify has all of their EPs/studio albums listed as albums, if you look under the section you'll see all of their EPs are there. There is no separate section for EPS. Apple Music as well, under albums it has Love Yourself Her and Map of the Soul Persona which is wrong because these are EPs. Also, Apple Music only goes up to Wings it doesn't have any of their older stuff. Bighit's website doesn't mention it being a full length album (studio) so you can't use that post as a source.
Also, Bighit has not called this album their fifth full length album and if it was they would've said it. You can't find anything with them saying those exact words. If you look at past articles/posts they call Map of the Soul 7 their 4th full length album, but they have yet to call Be their 5th. If anything if you don't want to call this an EP then it should as least be called a Deluxe Edition album. Since that's what international sites/Bighit are calling it.
https://music.bugs.co.kr/artist/80079394?wl_ref=M_Search_01_01 https://www.melon.com/artist/album.htm?artistId=672375 (Melon and Bugs are the biggest Korean music streaming platform) https://www.music-flo.com/detail/album/edleaooae/albumtrack These are the main/biggest korean streaming platforms, there's another one called vibe, but they don't have a website. https://ibighit.com/bts/eng/discography/detail/map_of_the_soul-7.php (bighit calls 7 their 4th album) -- Brianablank123 20:00 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Brianablank123: hey. Sorry for the late reply, I've been a bit busy and have gone on Wikibreak for a couple days.
- Apple Music is usually accurate with labeling. Anything three songs or shorter is an single, anything four-seven songs is an EP and anything eight songs or above is an album. This isn’t just an Apple Music thing, this is universally what is usually accepted. Be has eight tracks, ergo it’s an album. Spotify on the other hand has singles and albums only (no EPs or mixtapes), so I agree when you say it’s not accurate.
- Usually, you don’t need confirmation that it’s a full length album. If sources call Be any of the following we can assume it’s a studio album:
- LP (short for "Long play")
- Studio album
- Full length album
- Album
- Rolling Stone calls it an LP, Apple Music calls in an album. Even Wikipedia agrees that this is an album. The page Extended play (long form of EP) says
contemporary EPs generally contain a minimum of three tracks and maximum of six tracks
. - To be honest, I don’t know how things are handled in the Kpop world of Wikipedia that well. I tend to stick to Blackpink and that’s all. But: I do know that The Album (Blackpink album) has eight tracks and is being labelled as the groups debut Korean-language studio album. Studio album, and the album has eight tracks. So I’m guessing by the reliability of the sources I’m providing coupled with the fact that other eight-track collections are labelled "albums", it’s safe to call this an album. Romance
Digital platforms, like Tidal, contain separate single listings with different covers for "Liar" and "Shameless". Just because they were later combined on a vinyl in December, does not change the fact they were separately released as the first and second singles from Romance on September 5. This is not the first time this has happened. As for the order we just defer to alphabetical order. Hope that clears it up.--NØ 14:28, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Warning
Can I ask you what's your problem? How was this a edit war? I even told the user that we can take this to talk page? You are very biased, and I can't even take you seriously. You're not even an admin, so I don't know what you're doing anyway. You seem to be very bitter and obsessed with me. Please don't spam my talk page with you 'warnings'. This is your last warning, or I will report YOU. x Mirrored7 (talk) 12:08, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Mirrored7: for this specific warning, I saw that you made three reverts on Ariana Grande, and were close to breaking 3RR. That’s all. You have never expressed that you didn’t want me to post on your talk page before, so I’ll stop if you want me to. Also - instead of telling someone
if you disagree, take it to the talk page
, maybe just start a talk conversation anyways. The third revert you made was unnecessary, and could have been resolved on talk page.
- Speaking of being biased, at this point I am. Every interaction with you on Wikipedia has left a bad taste in my mouth, from the way you treat other editors to the way you are clearly a very big Ariana Grande fan to the way you are clearly not a Taylor Swift fan, and how you let all three control how you edit articles. Over the past day, you have proceeded to add records that Ariana has broken into her main article, yet not even a week ago, you and BawinV had to get into an edit war because you were like
these records aren’t important, they’ll be broken anyways
on a Taylor Swift article. - I will be filling a WP:ANI against you and your behaviour because I am fed up at this point. It’s been two months. Feel free to contribute to the discussion if you want. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:46, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
And you seem to be clearly biased and one sided. Yes, I'm very active in Ariana Grande articles, just like you seem to be active in them too. However, I know my limit, and what needs to be added and what not. In the last days, I wasn't just editing AG stuff. Your friend has extreme Taylor Swift obsession, adding more puffery and irrlevant infos on her pages - to that point, who he was warned multiple times too. He also copied a lot stuff from this page, just to make her to seem more 'all above' as an artist, creating a 'real' edit war. Maybe you need to talk to him first, before you come for me. x Mirrored7 (talk) 16:02, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Mirrored7: again, I assume you’re talking about BawinV. First off, I see nothing wrong with his edits. He’s just adding information to articles, which is the whole purpose of Wikipedia. Second, he edits without a bias, or a WP:NPOV. Third, he’s civil in talk conversations. You do none of these. You are clearly biased, and revert when you don’t agree with something. So... Katy Perry's 'Smile' singles
I've seen you recently classified Katy Perry's standalone releases 'Never Really Over', 'Small Talk', 'Harleys in Hawaii', and 'Never Worn White' as non-album singles even though they are included in the official track list, with two of them even being on the standard edition. Therefore, I am asking you why do you find this necessary, considering the fact there are many discographies listing initially standalone releases that were later included on deluxe editions as singles for their albums. Examples: Selena Gomez's pre-'Rare' releases, Sam Smith's pre-'Love Goes' releases, Ariana Grande's 'Focus'. For some reason, you find Katy Perry's album to be a totally different case even though it is not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FlameSymphony98 (talk • contribs) 04:40, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
- @FlameSymphony98: hey. NRO, ST, HIH and NWW were released well in advance of any promotion for Smile. If you look at Template:Infobox song#album, you would see that it strongly advises you to not put the album in the "album" parameter.
- Knowing that, a consensus was made to not have the songs affiliated with the album at all. They were to not be listed as singles from smile on this page, this page, and any other pages that cover the songs. Please see Talk:Smile (Katy Perry album)#Never Really Over as lead single for that consensus. Please read over that to get a better POV on what happened. If you disagree with that consensus, you can always open a new talk session on that talk page here. If you still have any questions, please reply back to me here. Thanks! No Body, No Crime
Hi, I was wondering why the article I made wasn't notable? According to Wikipedia:NSONGS, "Songs and singles are probably notable if they have been the subject of multiple, non-trivial published works whose sources are independent of the artist and label." There were 4 sources in the article that solely centred around the song, and just searching for "No Body, No Crime", I can find more-
- Refinery29: So, Taylor Swift & Haim Wrote The Best Murder Mystery Of The Year
- The List: What Taylor Swift's No Body, No Crime Is Really About
- Uproxx: Taylor Swift’s Collaboration With Haim, ‘No Body, No Crime,’ Is A Full-On Country Murder Ballad
- Oxygen: Taylor Swift's 'No Body, No Crime' Off 'Evermore' Album Has True Crime Roots
I'm unsure why it doesn't meet notability- would you mind explaining? --LivelyRatification (talk) 22:06, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- @LivelyRatification: hi. Thanks for leaving a message! Basically, the criteria for NSONG is if the song meets any of the criteria below, the song is probably notable:
- The song has been ranked on national or significant music or sales charts
- The song has won one or more significant awards or honors, such as a Grammy, Juno, Mercury, Choice or Grammis award
- The song has been independently released as a recording by several notable artists, bands, or groups
- Knowing this, the song has not charted, has not won any significant honours, and the song was not independently released. Sources are a part of it, though. I’m not discounting your point. Let’s look at other Taylor Swift examples so you can understand better.
- "Willow (song)" didn’t chart, didn’t win any awards, but was released independently by Swift. Therefore, the song is probably notable. Plus, the song has many sources proving its notability. Therefore, the song is definitely notable and an article was created.
- "Cardigan (song)" did chart, won many awards, and was released independently. The song also has many sources. Therefore, the song is more than notable.
- However, a song like "No Body, No Crime" didn’t chart (yet), didn’t win any awards (yet) and wasn’t released independently (it was part of an album release). The song may have sources, but it’s not notable. The reason for the (yet)s is that generally, newer songs aren’t notable. They gain notability later on. "The Lakes (song)" wasn’t as notable as "Cardigan" when the "Cardigan" article got created, but "The Lakes" was later notable enough for its own article.

Regarding Little Mix
I would like to apologise for adding the Current event template on the Little Mix article. I should've known better—I should've read further on the temp. page and check whether if the article was a BLP beforehand. —beetricks ~ talk · email 13:44, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Beetricks: no need to apologize! I assumed in good faith that this was the situation, that the editor who added it just forgot to check that it was a BLP. Just a tip: that template is really only used for events, as the title implies. If an award show is currently happening, we use that template. If there is a federal election currently happening, we use that template. We don't tend to use that template for things like BLPs or album releases. Hope I clarified for you! If you have any further questions, please let me know. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 14:00, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Doggy54321: This really helped me with when I need to insert the template. Thank you and have a good afternoon! 🙏 —beetricks ~ talk · email 16:02, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
DYK for Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions
On 17 December 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that having collaborated on the album Folklore months prior, Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff, and Aaron Dessner met in person for the first time for the filming of Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions), and it may be added to the statistics page if it received over 400 views per hour. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
