Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Maxar Technologies into DigitalGlobe. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 21:33, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Diannaa. I am fairly new to editing and appreciate the edification on this. I went back to provide the attribution, but I see that you have already added it. Thanks for that as well! Brantzmyers (talk) 03:26, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MDA (company)

[edit]

Hello Brantzmyers ! Thanks you for the end of this timeline. I only copied text from https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=MDA_(company)&oldid=811116204, an old version of this article. You can too copy remain of text in MDA (company) article. Regards. Artvill (talk) 21:34, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Doggy54321. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Monster (Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber song) seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 02:46, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Musk article

[edit]

Hey there, I wanted to suggest that rather than putting hidden text in the article, it would be much better to bring it up on the article talk page, where it can be sorted out. While hidden text isn't prohibited, I don't think it's typically used for asking questions about article content. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 22:11, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kamal Ahmed (comedian, producer, writer, director), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages New York and Mail Order Bride. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:04, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Overlinking

[edit]

Please stop adding unnecessary links to articles, as outlined at MOS:OL. Please do not link country names or common words. Also, please do not add a link to a name within a name, per MOS:LINKINNAME. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:51, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

December 2022

Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Please stop adding inappropriate links, per MOS:OL. Magnolia677 (talk) 00:09, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - I had some time on my hands and thought I was adding value with these links - my intentions were meant to be helpful, but I am giving the Manual of Style a good read now. I appreciate the guidance. Thanks again. Brantzmyers (talk) 02:02, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Brantzmyers. I noticed that you have added external links to IMDB in the text of Kamal Ahmed (writer, director, producer, musician, comedian). We don't add links like that for the reasons given at WT:WikiProject Film/Archive 79#Masking imdb links as wikilinks and WP:ELPOINTS, so I have removed them. Regards. Mike Turnbull (talk) 15:59, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'll try to find and cite/link from more appropriate external media sources. Brantzmyers (talk) 16:34, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry to bother you but in order for the permission to count it has to be emailed to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Simply posting the permission on Wikimedia Commons is not enough. The same applies to other images that you have acquired directly from the person who are being depicted. Trade (talk) 23:00, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The copyright owner is sending the release email. ~~~ Brantzmyers (talk) 03:56, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
