On your draft article
[edit]Here is a belated formal welcome, Docoed! Two pages I found useful when I was new to Wikipedia were the simplified ruleset and the welcome page. Do take a look at those if you have the time.
Thanks for your excellent work on your draft article; myself and another editor have tweaked the formatting somewhat. Things that would be useful include
- His exact birth and death date
- Any web links, ISBNs or other ways to access or refer to your sources (only if they are available, of course!)
- Making it clear how this guideline is met.
Best of luck with uploading the images of his paintings; you know where you can find me if you need me, but should I not be online, you can contact me at my talk page or by email. Cheers, sonia♫ 09:20, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
- Also, as you're new to article writing, you might want to read your first article, a guide on article writing fundamentals for newcomers. Welcome to Wikipedia! :) Kind regards, —James (Talk • Contribs) • 7:45pm • 09:45, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
- Very nice work on the article :) Don't forget to add accessdates for your references by appending "|accessdate=yyyy-mm-dd" or "Retrieved on yyyy-mm-dd" (if the reference doesn't use a [[Wikipedia:Citation templates|citation template) to the end of each reference. Do keep up the good work, don't forget to use edit summaries as they help people get an idea of what your edit constituted and if you do notice a missing article, create it :) —James (Talk • Contribs) • 6:18pm • 08:18, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
DYK for Jay Meuser
[edit]On 9 May 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Jay Meuser, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that abstract expressionist painter Jay Meuser painted two portraits for General of the Army Douglas MacArthur? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Please help me with...
I was working on page for the San Pedro Art Association and have been waiting on some critical info that can resolve my last editor's comments. It has been over 6 months and I was informed that I might have my work deleted. I requested that it not be deleted and I have not received notice on the decision. I am not sure if I should wait longer (its been about a month) or get help on this. I'd hate to start over.

- I Docoed, I'm not sure what the critical info is you're looking for, but it looks like the article was declined because of insufficient sourcing. You'll need to find sources that discuss the San Pedro Art Association specifically. Right now I only see one that seems to do this, although without access to the offline sources this can be hard to determine. Let me know if that helps. --Daniel(talk) 21:32, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
- Helped via IRC, G-13 was declined by an admin, noted request for delayed G-13 on draft, and asked it not be re-tagged for another 6 months. G-13 is just housekeeping anyhow, keeping the draft around longer is noncontroversial. Reventtalk 21:57, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

Please help me with... Hi, On the page for the San Pedro Art Association, four of the references show an error and they are marked in red. I believe the problems can be easily fixed but when I click the "edit" for that section, the references do not show up. All other sections of the San Pedro Art Association page can be edited except the Reference section. How can I get in to fix the Reference section?
Thank you
docoed (talk) 08:23, 1 December 2014 (UTC) docoeddocoed (talk) 08:23, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Docoed. The references themselves are actually kept within the body of the article - the "References" section just contains the template
{{Reflist}}
, which copies the information from higher on the page and displays it. I've now fixed the date formats (took me couple of edits); you had included thepage
parameter in the date and a couple of them needed fixing to meet the MOS requirements in order to display correctly. You can see what I did here. Yunshui 雲水 10:18, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
