[edit]No university should use Wikipedia, we are clear that anything anyone can edit is not a reliable source (although ironically I have seen Wikipedia articles simply copied and published in academic journals in Asia.. However a lot of our articles are gold mines of reliable sources, and many universities train their students how to edit Wikipedia. I don't see how anyone mentioning the blacklisting can possibly confuse anyone except the ignorant, which can be found in all countries. Doug Weller talk 10:37, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for that. Debjyoti Gorai (talk) 12:31, 23 January 2023 (UTC)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Mumbai CSMT - Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Mumbai CSMT - Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. echidnaLives - talk - edits 08:24, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- It wasn't a move; the contents were copied from a deleted draft. It's the basic template content for all VB2 trains. All trains of that same series have the 100% basic content match except the arrival, departure timings, the stoppages, the states, the launch date, the distance covered and train number except that all are same. All is done is to put the value of the variable when a new train is allotted. Debjyoti Gorai (talk) 11:27, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
Dear @Debjyoti Gorai,
Hi and hope you're doing good. The change you had made for the above mentioned name, it's supposed to be changed to Trivandrum Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express since the source is from Trivandrum Central departing in the morning. I do get that it should be according to the serial number but the Indian Railways had assigned those numbers for a particular reason. So I request you to kindly change the page to Thiruvananthapuram - Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express. Thank you. Santosh4118 (talk) 13:28, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
- Dear @Santosh4118,
- As per Southern Railways the official name is 20633/20634 Kasaragod – Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express. You can check their website here. The current name should be kept as per the serial number as well as the official website's notification. The city's preference matters here as per the serial number issued by railways rather than population or any other preference. Thiruvananthapuram may be the originating station as well as having high preference being the capital city, but the serial number preference is to be followed here.
