Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Hi, thank you for the information and the welcome. I wasn't aware of how discouraged this was, and was under the impression that I may disclose this as a conflict of interest to be taken note of in the review of the page. Everything noted is referenced and I would be happy to edit anything that is deemed unsuitable.
Thanks again Filmshack (talk) 17:53, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In 17 years of editing here I can't recall very many successful autobiographys here, creating an article from scratch is the hardest task on Wikipedia, creating an autobiography is 10 x harder. Also see Wikipedia:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing. Theroadislong (talk) 18:17, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the information. In any case, I hope someday I will get something across the line, but in the meantime I am enjoying the editing section of wikipedia. I never thought of doing it but it will be great to contribute to such a fantastic resource. Filmshack (talk) 19:23, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
