License tagging for Image:Fore Abbey 01.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Fore Abbey 01.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:05, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Castletown

[edit]
  • See how it now says For other places with the same name, see Castletown (disambiguation) at the top of the various articles? That's what I did. You had placed the disambiguation link in a section header in a way that anyone could see was unlike every other disambiguation link on Wikipedia. It was wrong. I don't know everything about Wikipedia. But when there's something I don't know, I look for an example of something close and I copy it. Until I figure out how to do something in a way that isn't glaringly wrong, I don't do. I don't know why you think we're looking for a "universal solution". We already have one and it lays in the format I used.
  • Another example is your name and email address in the text of an article. Have you EVER seen that on Wikipedia? I haven't and I bet you haven't. That's a clue that its "not done."
  • I didn't do anything to Castletown-Geoghegan. Someone else did and with good reason. Go to Castletown-Geoghegan and check the deletion log. You could have read this page before accusing me.
  • Don't act all incredulous because I said "WTF' in my message, Here is your message: re construction after vandels thoughtless, lacking creativity, THOSE WHO SUBTRACT BEWARE, those who contribute constructively, welcome". Not only is this some kind of bizarre threat, its as illiterate as anything I've seen on Wikipedia.
  • You left me a message on my User:HouseOfScandal page. That is vandalism. Message to other users are left on their talk pages. In my case, this would be User talk:HouseOfScandal. It seems like this, like every other nuance of Wikipedia protocol and the use of the English language (the message you left me actually has one sentence that ends in a comma) escapes you.
  • Maybe you have a severe learning disability or something. If you do its not your fault, but you shouldn’t be leaving nasty messages for people who went to the trouble to correct the garbage you are posting.

You need to pay attention to what you are doing and stop doing whatever the hell you feel. Your ridiculous "re construction after vandels thoughtless... THOSE WHO SUBTRACT BEWARE," threat is way, way out of line. House of Scandal 13:05, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Jesus of Divine Mercy

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Jesus of Divine Mercy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

POV beyond fixing. Cannot even tell exactly what this is about.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Zazaban 03:58, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deltion Melaghlin

[edit]

Melaghlin

[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Melaghlin, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Jesus Of Divine Mercy.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jesus Of Divine Mercy.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:56, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:2nd Chapel of Fore.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 11:10, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pat of Mullingar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from {{{value1}}}. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
