Paid editing
[edit]Hello DayforDay. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:DayforDay. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=DayforDay|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 08:30, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- I tried to clear it up with you during your interrogation but you didn't give any feedback. I'm doing my best to get this article as correct as possible. I am not being paid nor have I been hired. I don't care if you think that either. It seems to me that it is more about power and arbitrariness towards a new member. I've spent hours collecting the references, releases and whatever else DayforDay (talk) 08:36, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- I will also try to create and edit other articles more quickly now. I've already started with that DayforDay (talk) 08:40, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- I have no idea what you mean by my "interrogation" I have given lots of feedback about your sources which you have chosen to ignore. You appear to have a connection to Draft:Battl Victory Records and User:Alicia.Lizzo97 hence my question about paid editing. Theroadislong (talk) 08:50, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not ignoring the hints, but I'm trying to improve them with references or have I misunderstood or overlooked something? Then of course I apologize.
- Yes of course I know Alicia.Lizzo97. I explained this on your talk page and also what connection we have. But then there was no response from you DayforDay (talk) 08:55, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- The comments on my talk page were from an ip address if this was you then you most definitely do have a conflict of interest and you need to make the required disclosure on your talk page, this is NOT negotiable. Anyone working for the company either voluntarily or paid has a conflict of interest. Theroadislong (talk) 09:00, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- I certainly don't, as I don't work for the company.
- I am doing this of my own free will and in my spare time with no connection to this company.
- If you don't see it that way, it's your problem and not mine. DayforDay (talk) 09:05, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- You are aiding your colleague Alicia.Lizzo97 who is an undisclosed paid editor you have a VERY clear conflict of interest. Theroadislong (talk) 09:11, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- I wrote we know each other as university colleagues. So on a friendly level. I'm sorry for this misunderstanding DayforDay (talk) 09:14, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- She only told me once that she is working on it in Wikipedia and whether I know the label. I wanted to help her because this is very exciting DayforDay (talk) 09:16, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- This is called WP:MEATPUPPETRY. Theroadislong (talk) 09:21, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- I asked her if I could help, not she me. But now, of course, a very stupid situation. DayforDay (talk) 09:26, 23 September 2022 (UTC)

Paid editing again
[edit] As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:DayforDay, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=DayforDay|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. ~~~~ Theroadislong (talk) 09:00, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- 1.STOP
