Hello. You recently added a nomination for adminship of another user on the Wikipedia:Requests for adminship page. Nominations must be accepted by the would-be administrator before they can be included on the main discussion page. Cheers, ➪HiDrNick! 02:35, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

RFA

Hello, just wondering, did you nominate CastAStone for adminship to emberass him? See Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/CastAStone#Discussion. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 04:20, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm working hard to assume good faith here, but this looks like an attempt at disruption or embarrassment. Suggest you apologize to Castastone and urge withdrawal.04:32, 29 November 2007 (UTC) Dlohcierekim 04:32, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm going to make an ANI report on this. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 04:34, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Concur. Suddenly, this is not fun anymore. Dlohcierekim 04:39, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
David, I consider myself fairly experienced at RfA, and I've never seen anything like it. I strongly urge you to ask him to withdraw. A failing RfA is a very unpleasant thing, and this one cannot succeed. Dlohcierekim 04:48, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes, but the thing is, I don't think he'd react this way if he did know you. I have asked CastAStone to verify this. It's just that it seems a little suspicous is all. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 04:51, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Everybody, I do know David personally, he was probably over-enthusiastic in nominating me, but I do not believe it was malicious. That edit meant if a pile on did occur, how would i pull my nomination.--CastAStone|(talk) 04:58, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Oops! Sorry about the misunderstanding! Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 05:03, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks David. It sounds like the people would like me if I contributed more, so I'm gonna buckle down and do that and if in a few months I pass the 3000 edit mark - and I am contributing regularly - and you still want to nominate me, go for it.--CastAStone|(talk) 05:12, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

RfA revisisted

Sorry I couldn't get back to you last night. Hit an edit conflict and my fingers were starting to not work. It's good you have such enthusiasm and respect for your friend. Hope to see you both around. For an idea of what I look for in an admin candidate and my support rationale, please see User:Dlohcierekim/standards. Sorry if I came on too strong. RfA commentors can be brutally honest, and I was concerned about your friend walking into a buzzsaw with that. Hope this helps. If I can be helpful in any way, please let me know. :) Cheers, Dlohcierekim 13:48, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Catholic line in Mormon article?

What's up with the catholic sentence in the Criticism of Mormonism article? How is it relevant to mormonism? Noleander 02:55, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to WikiProject Trains

Hello and welcome to the Trains WikiProject! Thank you for adding your name to our project membership list. Our goal is to build the most comprehensive and detailed guide to rail transport on Wikipedia. As a project member, you may add the project membership userbox to your user page if you wish.

If you haven't done so already, please add our main project page to your watchlist and take some time to review the Trains project manual of style where we have collected guidelines and suggestions on notability and style for a consistent representation of rail transport related material. If you're curious about where to start, we've gathered a few suggestions in the Trains project to do list. If you'd like to specialize in a particular area of study within rail transport, take a look at the current Trains project task forces.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the project talk page or on my talk page. Again, welcome and happy editing! Slambo (Speak) 14:31, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Adoption

I'd be delighted to adopt you. :) LaraLove 18:13, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Great! Where do we begin, boss?  DavidJ710  talk  18:58, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
What are you interests? Let me know what you want to do here, or ask me any questions, and we'll figure it out from there. LaraLove 19:06, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
I have been mainly patrolling recent changes with Lupin's anti-vandalism tool, and in addition to that, I have been working on improving brewery articles such as Empyrean Brewing Company and Great Lakes Brewing Company. I'd like to dive deeper into article editing, and get more involved with WP:AfD and WP:MfD, but frankly, I feel a little uncomfortable right now, because I am not totally familiar with all of the Wikipedia policies.  DavidJ710  talk  19:13, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Okay, check out this. It's not pretty yet, but I'll get to that later. Some resources and an assignment. If you should come upon guidelines or policies you find useful, feel free to add them to the list there. And, of course, if you have any questions or need any help, drop a line on my talk page, or pop into IRC.
Also, how do you like Lupins? LaraLove 04:49, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
I assume that you've got some plan for the classroom, although it's been deleted. I found the classroom! :-) I do like Lupins, it's easier than searching through recent changes manually. It filters out changes based on a list of words that a vandal or careless editor might use. You've got to be a little judicious, or you'll revert every edit on pages like this.
Where would a good place to begin working with WP:GA be? I noticed in your RfA (Yes, I stalked you before I asked for adoption) that GA is something you were pretty involved in, and the more I think about it, the more I think that is something I would like to help out with.  DavidJ710  talk  17:17, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
The best place to start GA, in my opinion, is WP:GAR. That's where I started. You get a really good idea about what a GA is. The criteria of course, are important to learn first. Once you get that down, you can start reviewing articles. There are a lot of helpful editors in GA that will help you.
That aside, I'm going on a wiki-break for some time. I know the timing is terrible, but I have to. User:GlassCobra, a good buddy of mine and fellow Bathrobe Cabalist, is happy to take over for the time being. You can have two adopters, so if you prefer to consider him a co-adopter or whatev, that's fine. But while I gone, that's your man right there. He's great. You're doing great, by the way. I hope you stick around and continue on. LaraLove 07:36, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Hey David! The article looks just fine so far, keep up the good work! Please feel free to ask me if you have questions about anything. :) GlassCobra 03:51, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

December 2007

Refrain from making such hasty decisions about actual edits. Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:00, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

O god, I came off really rude anyway. Therequiembellishere (talk) 19:04, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
My concern was the addition of <math>Insert formula here</math>. I think that when I rolled it back, it grabbed your useful contribs too.  DavidJ710  talk  19:08, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Your VandalProof Application

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, DavidJ710. As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank again for your interest in VandalProof. βcommand 02:12, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
