My RfA
[edit]
Thanks!
Thank you very much for your comments on my recent Request for Adminship. The request was ultimately unsuccessful - which wasn't entirely surprising - and so I'll be taking special care to address the concerns that were raised before running again. I'm anxious to improve my work generally, even if it doesn't result in a future adminship, and so please don't hesitate to leave any further feedback or comments at my talk page. Thanks! |
A RfA thank you from en:User:Xyrael
[edit]I'd like to thank you Danntm for either supporting, opposing, commenting, nominating, reading, editing, promoting and/or anything else that you may have done for my successful request for adminship (I've broken the one thousand sysop barrier!); I'm thanking you for getting involved, and for this I am very grateful. I hope to be able to serve Wikipedia more effectively with my new tools and that we can continue to build our free encyclopedia, for knowledge is power, but only wisdom is liberty. Please do feel free to get in touch if you feel you can improve me in any way; I will be glad to listen to all comments. Again, thanks 8) —Xyrael / 12:06, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for warning 207.81.122.3 (talk • contribs • WHOIS • block user • block log) and the note about the revert. He's a low intensity vandal hitting the Squamish, British Columbia page once or twice a month, with a variety of socks or the above stable IP. His edits are obvious, and tend towards maligning the local first nation group (and sometimes userpage vandalism). I mostly just revert and ignore, since he makes only a few edits in any given bout of vandalism and blocking seems like overkill. If he continues, I'll persue it more thoughly, but it seems to stable enough as it is. Anyhow, thanks again! --TeaDrinker 21:24, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

List of faux pas AfD
[edit]Howdy, you have recently voted delete in this AfD with concerns about it not passing WP:V and WP:RS. The article has undergone a substantial rewrite since you voiced your concerns and I would like to invite you to take a look at the new version. In addition to trimming the article from 62 kilobites to 41k, I think the addition of a substantial number of reliable sources should help get it under control now and hopefully for the future. I would appreciate any input on what more could be done to possibly sway you to reconsider your position. Thanks and I appreciate your time. Agne 06:30, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for participating in my RfA, which finished with a tally of 52/6/1 (~90%). It was an interesting process which gave me a chance to learn a bit about myself and about the community. My intention now is to slowly ease into using those additional buttons on my page. No use being over eager and mucking up the works. The support of all those who went over my record and/or rallied to my defense after the big oppose vote was instumental to the success of this review.
