The article Polina Vinogradova has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Gparyani (talk) 15:38, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Pauline Parmentier, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Grand slam (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). The article Polina Vinogradova has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails the notability guidelines for tennis players.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jared Preston (talk) 19:50, 31 May 2014 (UTC)

Ways to improve İpek Öz

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Consider providing inline citations to strengthen the page's verifiability.

Sources
[edit]Can you please add clear WP:INLINECITED references to Andreea Roșca. It only has 'external links' which means 'suggestions for further reading' and doesn't show what its sources are, which is a particular issue with biographies of living people. Thanks for creating this, Boleyn (talk) 19:58, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- I'm disappointed to see you have created many articles on living people with an empty references section. Many have 'external links' but that just means suggestions for further reading and doesn't indicate what your sources were. It is really important to have WP:INLINECITED references when writing about living people. Please add your sources inline to Miriam Bulgaru, Andreea Roșca and İpek Öz. If you are struggling with referencing, please see Help:Referencing for beginners or ask at the WP:TEAHOUSE. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 12:56, 15 July 2018 (UTC)

- All now moved to draftspace as we can't leave unreferenced biographies of living people in mainspace - however they can be moved back easily when they are ready. Boleyn (talk) 16:39, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

- You've been repeatedly warned on this issue, Dalek. Do you understand how to reference? Boleyn (talk) 19:16, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- Can you please respond? WP:Communication is required. Boleyn (talk) 19:22, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
- I would appreciate if you could stop harassing me Boleyn. I am not a professional Wikipedia editor and only check back here from time-to-time, and every time that I do I see another hostile message from you.
- Regarding the recent tennis pages, since I only created the pages when the players fulfilled the notability criteria, I was therefore hoping to add references as time went on and more information became available (because frankly, for obscure tennis players who've only just become 'notable' there very often isn't very much to reference back to). Regarding the West Ham thing, I incorrectly assumed that the squad numbers used in pre-season games meant that the information was confirmed and would shortly appear on the already-referenced club website, but as it happens, some numbers were changed by the time the season started.
- Sorry that I made an honest mistake. But I only edit in passing most of the time to try and correct bad grammar or update outdated information such as WTA ranking which is still dated last year/etc. I suffer from significant levels of anxiety and being hounded on this has certainly put me off doing more significant stuff like creating pages. I do try to reference when I am adding significant new info to pages, but evidently not often enough. --Dalek194 (talk) 10:11, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
- To be fair, Dalek194 did respond to me about the West Ham edit. I haven't checked, but I am assuming that you are using the sites you add as external links as sources for your basic articles? Could I suggest that, rather than doing that, you just add those as explicit references (see WP:INLINECITE). They can always be moved down when more substantial references are added. Thanks, Nzd (talk) 10:25, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Mésaque Djú
[edit]You partially reverted my edits with the following explanation: "West Ham U23s are not a separate club in their own right; they are part of 'West Ham Proper' so to speak".
Mésaque Djú's lead after my edits: "plays for English side West Ham United under-23s in the Professional Development League." As you see, I wrote "side", as in "team", not "club". The source is very specific and states that he will play for the under-23 team. I don't see the problem in writing that he plays for U23. SLBedit (talk) 19:30, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Hi there SLB. I am following standard protocol on the pages of other young players who primarily play in the U23 sides of their respective clubs, but are still contracted professionals and therefore listed as playing for the senior club, even if they are primarily involved with the U23 side. Regards, Dalek194 (talk) 19:33, 30 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Micah Richards, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Transfermarkt is not a reliable source. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:05, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
Transfermarkt is one of the only records (Twitter line-ups being another, but that seemed even less likely to be accepted by Wikipedia) that shows the exact position in which players lined-up in matches from previous seasons; I know for a matter of fact that Richards played at CB on significant occasions during his career. A player's position is something that is the majority of the time listed on a player's Wikipedia page without a source; the only reason I added one this time was as a courtesy to prove/back-up my point about adding centre-back to right-back.
