Hi, I am one of the editors behind Wikipedia's brand new Weather Wikiproject, which is aiming to try and share resources relating to the weather, while fixing some of the various gaps that we have on Wikipedia surrounding the weather and driving up standards across the board. As a result, I was excited to see that you had created an article on the 2020 Zagreb flash flood, which appears to be very thorough and is exactly the type of article we need to kind of what we need to in order to close some of the gaps. As a result, I was wondering if you would be interested in helping us out? In particular, we would love to learn about what significant weather Croatia, Malta and other areas experience, their climate and what events within those articles maybe notable for articles. Let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks.Jason Rees (talk) 14:29, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Jason Rees: thanks for the invitation, and glad to hear you liked the article! I'm not a meteorologist or climatologist but I have an interest in the subject and, as a matter of fact, I'm drafting another Croatia weather-related article ATM. I'd be happy to help out with the red links on that page. Daß Wölf 04:52, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Daß Wölf: I am glad that you have decided to join us and help us out as European Weather is one of the areas, that is a distinct lack of coverage. Before I go any further I should state that I am not worried that your not a meteorologist or climatologist, as I'm not one either but have developed an interest in tropical cyclones over the last few years. I am now looking to move that interest out into other parts of the weather since there is so much of an overlap and have already started to look into Fiji's weather. I look forward to seeing the Croatia weather-related article when its ready and I am glad to hear that you are willing to help out with the redlinks on that article!.Jason Rees (talk) 16:38, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Re : Low views - recent record
Hey, I just saw your question at the Village Pump about Oct 2019 spike in readership and wanted to give you some info regarding it. I'm an Analyst working in the Product Analytics team and the drop in October readership was one of the things we noticed this month. Since the discussion has been archived, I was told to reach out to you via Talk pages.
In 2019 Sep and Oct there was suspected bot activity that was reported as user pageviews with 'None' referrer. More details and investigation here : https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T239811#5713328
Hope this was helpful! and if you feel it would be useful for others pls feel free to unarchive the thread and provide this info.

- @MKampurath (WMF): Thanks for the info, it's an interesting insight. I've restored the discussion at the VP. I'm glad that you folks on the WMF side are keeping tabs on pageview data I do wonder what's the purpose of this kind of bot traffic... Daß Wölf 18:27, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
