F1 nationality

Good idea. It seems that quite a few editors don't understand what the F1 infobox is for, so maybe moving the nationality field might help. Might be a case for being bold and going ahead with it? Bretonbanquet (talk) 14:33, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

Re:F1Laps2005

I simply hadn't got around to adding in the data. Alonso led the whole way (1-56). Shouldn't be too hard to fit it in! ;) Cs-wolves(talk) 11:50, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

And to think I never looked that far down either! Cs-wolves(talk) 14:46, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

Lambo/Modena

Hi DH85858993. I apologise for repeatedly editing the cars of the Modena Team. I have opened a discussion on the discussion page as you requested to encourage a debate. It is a rather long-winded one, but I wanted to give a solid case on why I feel they should be altered. Cheers. Thesmartstag (talk) 11:02, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Talk:Sauber

If we do as you want, the index won't be seen when opening the page but you have to scroll down to see it. I think it is more important to see what discussions have been going on than to see what projects the page belongs to. -Ulla 08:51, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Well, now when you have collapsed the templates I suppose it's OK. -Ulla 12:07, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

The article Jordan EJ14 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for references found only a single published (gBooks) reference to this vehicle, fails WP:V and WP:N

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Re:Infobox change

Hi DH, sorry about that, a user has recommended annotating the flags during the FAC so I did it in the infobox. I've quoted part of the MoS which talks about sports statistics tables possibly being exempt from the guideline in reply, so I'll leave it until I get any further comments on the FAC page. I didn't raise a discussion at WT:F1 because it reminded me of the situation with 2008 Monaco Grand Prix, when all of the article's flags were temporarily removed in response to a comment during its own FAC (although I don't remember how that was resolved).--Midgrid(talk) 21:13, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Ah yes

Thanks for that - I'd forgotten that it was even there, let alone that it contained category silliness. Cheers DBaK (talk) 12:04, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply. It's gorn now - I speedied it. Best wishes DBaK (talk) 12:31, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Walt Faulkner

Dear DH85858993, the changes I made to Walt's page were based on interviews with his widow and an old friend of Walt's, stock car driver Lloyd Dane. Mary Faulkner assures me that Walt was born in 1917 or 1918, and her statement that Faulkner was 18 when he moved to San Diego in 1936 means that 1918 rather than 1917 is Faulkner's correct birth date. Perilagu Khan (talk) 18:26, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Dear DH, got the go-ahead from Jenkins to change Walt's birth date and have done so. (He checked the California Death Index, which confirmed my information.) I made the change, but also seemed to have made a hash of the coding. Would you be willing to put it right?Perilagu Khan (talk) 16:07, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Perilagu KhanPerilagu Khan (talk) 16:07, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

Clarification of Eddie Irvine Wikinote

As the original writer of this note, I would say, fine job, Clarification is exactly what you've done here. Thanks! Britmax (talk) 22:09, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Elegantly simple idea! Why didn't I think of that? Britmax (talk) 22:37, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

A quick note of thanks

Thank you for taking the time and correcting the various minor mistakes on Kauhsen. How I managed to write an article and continuously misspell the subject's name I'll never know, but thanks for fixing it up regardless. Cheers QueenCake (talk) 12:47, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Re: Apostrophes

No worriesHoldenV8 (talk) 05:44, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Ok I'll abide by the rules there but really I don't see what difference it makes if a link goes to a manufacturer or the actual engine. Ah wellHoldenV8 (talk) 14:44, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

fair enoughHoldenV8 (talk) 15:03, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

The Signpost interview

No color on diffs

Since after four days it hasn't been fixed, let's file a bug report: Wikipedia:Bug reports and feature requests. Looks like the only way to get it prioritized and fixed is to file bug reports. Thanks. Softlavender (talk) 01:14, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Red Bull constructor names

Hi DH85868993, I notice you recently reverted my changes to the constructor name on the Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso articles. Could you explain the reasoning behind that and what the WP:F1 consensus is? I thought the constructor name above the infobox had to be what the FIA recognises; in this case Red Bull Racing Renault and STR Ferrari. Thanks, JonChappleTalk 12:02, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Re:IP vandalising

I personally think it's an IP hopper, if some of the IPs are anything to go by. Edits are pretty similar as well, but as you say, we can flag it up elsewhere. Cs-wolves(talk) 03:48, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Re: Rial

Why thank you! It's rather amazing that I only went on that article by accident, ended up reading an article on it, and somehow started to edit it! The stories of the tiny teams are extremely fascinating, hopefully I'll get the time to finish the second season off soon. Cheers :) QueenCake (talk) 19:50, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

Lee McKenzie Article

Hello, just wondering how I would need to phrase the text that was added (and then removed by you) given that I provided citations for my info? If you could help me understand how I should go about it, that would be great. Thanks. Airtraveler00 (talk) 12:35, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Dashes

Those changes from hyphen to n-dash are part of AWB's general fixes, rather than something I specifically did myself. If the project feels that this change is not appropriate, I recommend you raise the issue on the AWB talk page. Colonies Chris (talk) 09:05, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Lotus

Thanks for correcting the changes that happened here. All I did was change a small paragraph to reflect the fact that the Lotus name has now returned to racing (thet were still planning to in the original version). I also added that it had returned with two teams not one. I have no idea where all the other changes sneaked in from so unintentional? I'd say. Britmax (talk) 10:58, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi DH85868993. With regards to your partial revert at the McLaren article, I'd still got the link going to Honda Racing F1, just to the sub-section on the page that actually deals with their years as an engine supplier. Is this against consensus? I just thought it was far less confusing for people not in the know than directing people to the part of the page (the intro/racing infobox) that deals with their years as a constructor. If I didn't know F1, I'd be confused. Best, JonChappleTalk 06:34, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Feedback requested on a discussion

Hey DH85868993,

On Talk:Sebastian Vettel#Records, a discussion is currently taking place. Since you are also involved in the Formula One Driver Records-page, I was wondering if you would mind sharing your view on the issue at hand there.

~cheers

As I'm sure you've realised, this user is Kevin, evading his block. If he becomes too much of a pain, we can go through the sockpuppetry thing again. We should be doing it already really, but if his work is worthwhile, it might be worth allowing him to carry on. Let me know if you get tired of him. If Pyrope spots him, he's done for anyway. Heron Cars

Thanks for spotting my mistake - Heron did sell some of his cars overseas, but they definately weren't Formula One's. NealeFamily (talk) 04:46, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
