Biographies
[edit]Please note that in WP en the concern for referencing is much stronger than at WP id http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Agustinus_Adisucipto - need WP:RS for WP:V - thanks - please find some! SatuSuro 07:55, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hati hati - the Adisucipto article needs a reference - your leaving a message at my talk page is one thing - not adding references is not WP:ABOUT - there is no way an reader or other editor can check for WP:V the way it is left. Please try to understand what citing/referencing is about SatuSuro 23:46, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
- If you cannot find a reference for a biographical article - and add it - please do not start the article in the first place SatuSuro 23:48, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
OK
[edit]- you need to learn how to WP:SIGN sign properly - see http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Agustinus_Adisucipto - SatuSuro 02:22, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
- Sorted, any other things you want me to fix? d3j4vu (talk) 03:03, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
- Please if you can find extra WP:RS - please do - as most wp id articles are short on refs/cites - when the info gets to wp en - we have to challenge the articles due to the lack of cites - if you can find a ref in any language - cite it - thank you for your patience - and your WP:AGF responses - it is appreciated SatuSuro 04:33, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Understanding why WP:RS is important for WP:V for WP:BLP
[edit]I think we are either on different planets or there is something basically going quite odd here -
Adisutjipto was educated at the School of Medicine in GHS (Geneeskundige Hogeschool) and graduated from the Flight School of Luchtvaart Militaire in Kalijati, West Java. (how do we know any of that - where did that information come from?)
On 15 November 1945, Adisutjipto established the Flight School in Yogyakarta, in the Maguwo Air Field, later renamed Adisucipto Airport, to commemorate his services as a national hero. '(how do we know any of that - where did that information come from?)
During the first of two major Dutch police actions against the Republic of Indonesia, called Operatie Product, Adisujipto and Abdul Rahman Saleh were ordered to fly to India. They successfully breached the air blockade conducted by the Dutch air forces, covering the airspace from Indonesia to India and Pakistan. However, during their journey back from Singapore, while transporting donated medicine from the Red Cross Malaya, their Dakota VT-CLA aircraft was shot down by two Dutch P-40 Kittyhawk aircraft in Dusun Ngoto on 29 July 1947. '(how do we know any of that - where did that information come from?)
He was buried in the Kuncen I and II general cemetery. On 14 July 2000, his remains were re-interred in the Monumen Perjuangan (Monument of Struggle) in Dusun Ngoto, Bantul, Yogyakarta '(how do we know any of that - where did that information come from?)
.
How do we know where any of these facts/assertions come from? There is no specific WP:RS for WP:V for any of these assertions - and you have not copied over the WP id refs -
- a b Koran Kompas Cyber Media, Sabtu 15 Juli 2000, Dipindah, Kerangka Jenazah Adisutjipto dan Abdulrachman Saleh
- Angkasa Online No 1 Oktober 2006 Tahun XVIIPara Sahabat AURI yang Terlupakan
Please do not add items across from WP id - unless you use their references as well - all articles need WP:RS - regardless of how you might read something into wikipedia policies and rules SatuSuro 02:27, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

image for Cleveland Point Light
[edit]Hi there. I'm not a local, so I thought I'll ask, maybe I'm missing something. here you added an image which I believe to be of Comboyuro Point Light (on Moreton Island, built in 1877?, moved on a number of occasions due to erosion, collapsed into the sea around 1960) to the article Cleveland Point Light. They don't even look much the same, Cleveland Point Light having an hexagonal balcony with what looks like a locally manufactured hexagonal lantern compared to Comboyuro Point Light having a round balcony and what looks like a round Chance Brothers (or lookalike) lantern. --Muhandes (talk) 18:05, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Template:SBS Variety Programs has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. The Banner talk 15:57, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
The file File:George-Calombaris-WA-2012.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
a 'self made file' with not evidence of copyright ownership
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}

[edit]Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to List of films featuring time loops have been removed because you cited the information you added to another Wikipedia article or an external wiki. As discussed at WP:CIRCULAR and WP:SPS, Wikipedia and other wikis should not be used in citations because they are not considered reliable sources. You are welcome to re-add the information using a different reference, perhaps from the article you originally linked to. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 02:39, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to List of films featuring time loops have been removed because you cited the information you added to IMDb. As discussed at WP:RS/IMDb, IMDb is considered a questionable source, and generally should not be used as a sole reference. You are welcome to re-add the information using a different reliable source, or with an additional source confirming the information from IMDb. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 02:01, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
