The benefits of archiving your talk page

[edit]

I wanted to try to get you to consider archiving your talk page.

  1. Archiving is the preferred method of talk page cleanup.
  2. It makes it easier to find past discussions and link to them.
  3. There may be circumstances where it would be useful to keep older discussions present on a talk page, to avoid the same issues being repeatedly raised. However, this situation can be better addressed by use of the {{FAQ}} template.
  4. Archiving is easy and can be done automatically by a bot.
  5. Archiving promotes honesty and trust among the community.

No worries if you still don't want to. But if you do, I'd be happy to setup automatic archiving for you ☺. ––FormalDude talk 05:55, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for being gone for this long

[edit]

I was gone for this long because I had a trip with a few buddies of mine. We were in an area with no service, so I couldn’t do any editing. Also a bunch of users adviced me to take a break, because some of them were concerned that I was harming my social life with Wikipedia.05:09, 25 October 2021 (UTC)CycoMa (talk)

I have a lot of stuff to work on here. So many species articles, location articles, geology articles, and other stuff. I’ll try to get onto all of those.CycoMa (talk) 05:35, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@SL93: uh oh. I didn’t realize that was still in articles for creation. Someone already made an article for that deity. The article should be deleted.CycoMa (talk) 00:42, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello CycoMa,

Thanks for your work and your interest in E. longiflora. Something seems to have gone wrong with adding synonyms though - you seem to have been adding synonyms for E. impressa. The E. impressa page does need work though - there are lots of synonyms for that species. Thanks for drawing my attention to it. I will fix it. Gderrin (talk) 23:13, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Gderrin: wait are you telling me you weren’t the one who reverted the synonyms I added?CycoMa (talk) 23:18, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yep - that was me. They were synonyms of Epacris impressa (not Epacris longiflora). Gderrin (talk) 23:22, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Gderrin: I looked through the diff and I see what you mean. I have no idea how I misread it that way. I am sorry about that, I have the attention skills of a goldfish. It’s all over the place.CycoMa (talk) 23:27, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No drama at all and no need to be sorry. Making boo-boos and having other people fix them is what this thing is about. If you hadn't added those synonyms, I would not have noticed that the E. impressa page needed fixing. Please keep editing plant pages - we need more people like you. Gderrin (talk) 23:41, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello CycoMa, do you have any idea why your article keeps krepping up in the Category:CS1 errors: unrecognized parameter? Weird I would say Lotje (talk) 16:04, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Lotje: oh that's actually a redirect. Let's just say me and another user made an article at the same time without realizing it. So we agreed to merge our articles.CycoMa (talk) 16:07, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Mystery solved Thanks Lotje (talk) 16:09, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Fursona, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Canine.
