Thanks for fixing the CSD tag. Actually, when I tagged it, the draft link was blue. Maybe it needed to be purged. – DreamRimmer (talk) 01:44, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
- @DreamRimmer: You're welcome! Yeah, when I noticed the link it was already red, but I guess R2 would still apply as well. CycloneYoris talk! 01:54, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
Hello, just a good faith heads up; this was not a speedy keep candidate (see WP:CSK for criteria) since the article has not remained in main space, the closure should indicate draftify. Regards, Goldsztajn (talk) 07:43, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Goldsztajn: Thanks! I wasn't aware that a page needed to remain in mainspace for an AfD to be closed as "speedy keep", nor is this mentioned at WP:CSK. But thank you for the heads up. CycloneYoris talk! 08:23, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
Hi @CycloneYoris, sorry I forgot to attribute myself on this article, as it was essentially a mini-split, so blanked it for less than a minute and re-added with attribution? Hope that's fine, you were quick with the tag! Thanks DankJae 23:06, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
- @DankJae: No worries. I noticed you restored the content and was about to revert myself anyway. Cheers. CycloneYoris talk! 23:11, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024
Hello CycloneYoris,
Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.
Reminders:
- You can access live chat with patrollers on the New Pages Patrol Discord.
- Consider adding the project discussion page to your watchlist.

Draft:The Crimean slave trade
Hello CycloneYoris,
- I noticed to moved the article The Crimean slave trade to Draft:The Crimean slave trade. I wonder if you would consider reconsidering? You may not be aware of this, but the user who created this article, has been engaging in an edit war in the section of the Black Sea slave trade that concerns the topic of the Crimean slave trade: [1].
- They have used two accounts: User:AzaqQara and User:Someone Qırımlı, as well 2-3 IP-adresses, to delete referenced information about the Crimean slave trade and replace it with poorly sourced information which depicts this particular slave trade and slavery in a benevolent light, by referring to any information about the slave trade that does not depict it in a benevolent light as "Russian propaganda".
- Their various accounts and IP-adresses have been warned for dispruptive editing, violation of neutrality and are under investigation for sock puppetry: [2]
- It appears they created their own article to forward a bias agenda when their revisions of the topic on Black Sea slave trade was reverted. As one may imagine, this user can not be expected to be be able to improve the article in a Draft to creat a neutral article, if they have no intention of respecting the rules of neutrality in the first place, but rather have a bias agenda.
- Under these circumstances, would you consider reverting your draft and simply delete the article?
- My best greetings,
Aciram (talk) 22:46, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hello Aciram. I was not aware that the user was edit warring, many thanks for notifying me! I already deleted the article from mainspace, but I will gladly tag the draft for deletion (instead of moving it back to mainspace) and an admin will surely delete it there. I was also about to open a sockpuppet investigation, but I've noticed that someone already opened one. Thanks again for your message and for letting me know of this situation. Cheers. - No worries, I am glad to have been of help (I figured you may have been unaware). Yes, please tag it for deletion! It would be for the best I think. Cheers.--Aciram (talk) 23:19, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

Jack in the Box
I noticed that you completely deleted my edit for Jack in the Box sponsorships with the Diamondbacks. I live in phoenix. I know for sure that there is this deal. Can I ask why you deleted it, and if it must be deleted then why. Just deleting it makes no sense. Jhardaway1115 (talk) 03:53, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Jhardaway1115: I already explained why in my edit summary. Your addition of content is unsourced and it needs proper sources for it to stay in the article. See WP:SOURCING. CycloneYoris talk! 03:59, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- Then why didnt you take out the sponsorships with the dodgers and the niners, bc they dont have sources either. I will find a source for the dbacks special but be a little more judicious in what you delete please. Jhardaway1115 (talk) 04:14, 5 April 2024 (UTC)

- also, please forgive me if I sounded terse in my comments. it was a long day and i was a bit frustrated. i guess i felt a little targeted because the others didnt have sources yet they stayed.
- i have not yet figured out how to put sources into wikipedia. would you mind inserting those sources i sent into the article along with my text? or do you need different sources? Jhardaway1115 (talk) 07:37, 5 April 2024 (UTC)

Deletion of Blue Imperial Rabbit Page
Hello,
I believe that you made a mistake in requesting the deletion the Blue Imperial rabbit page. It was deleted for the reason that I made up the Blue Imperial. I did not make up the Blue Imperial. It was a breed that existed for several decades in the late 19th and early 20th century. It was created by a Miss Mabel Illingworth, who was one of the only, as well as the fist, women to create a rabbit breed. The seed for the Blue Imperial was a single Sooty Fawn English Lop. The genetics of the breed contributed to the American rabbit among others. References to the Blue Imperial may be found here [1] which describes the entire Blue Imperial history, here [2] on a page describing the American rabbit and here [3] which describes the history of the Lilac breed, including the line: "Miss Mabel Illingworth also crossed her newly developed breed, the Blue Imperial, with the Havana to produce a Lilac in 1913. She called her new creation Essex Lavenders." The Blue Imperial was an extremely important breed and is referenced on other Wikipedia pages. Thank you. The Blue Imperial is also described in the 1920 Standard of Perfection for the National Breeders and Fanciers Association of America (which became the American Rabbit Breeders Association). It may be seen here [4] on page 32. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TanRabbitry (talk • contribs) 16:06, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

- Do you think you could mark this page as needing improvement and more citations? I don't know how to do that. The article uses a single source and is quite limited for such a wide-spread subject. Thank you,

Normal procedure is to issue warning no. 1 as the first warning, not warning no. 2. Regards Denisarona (talk) 09:30, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Denisarona: Not when vandalism is obvious. General note is normally skipped in those instances. CycloneYoris talk! 09:36, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- (not CycloneYoris, I just saw this after posting a message below & decided to reply) My understanding is that the warnings are on a sort of AGF-scale; where e.g. {{uw-vandal1}} is fully assuming good faith, {{uw-vandal2}} is more neutral, and {{uw-vandal3}} & 4 are where it's clear that the edits aren't being made in good faith. Given that this IP's first edit was adding
and his stupidity
to what a person is known for, I think starting with a level-2 warning was appropriate in this situation. All the best, —a smart kitten[meow] 09:36, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
Redirect suppression
Hi CycloneYoris, I'm just wondering why you suppressed the redirect for pagemoves such as this, this, this & this? To me, they seem like they'd be relatively harmless redirects from unnecessary/incorrect disambiguations. As far as I can see, there's no criterion in the WP:PMRC that would apply to these; though please let me know if I'm missing anything. All the best :) —a smart kitten[meow] 09:30, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi A smart kitten. I guess I felt that leaving a redirect is unnecessary when the disambiguator is technically the same, but I do agree that it would've been harmless to leave them as redirects; and I've ceased suppressing them lately for the same reason. Official Account Forum
Hey! I'm very new to Wikipedia and was just wondering that when I edited the Dead by Daylight article I had cited a forum post created by a game developer which you deemed unreliable. I'm just wondering if forums posted by the official accounts of games are still considered unreliable on Wikipedia. Thanks! TreEven (talk) 04:29, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- @TreEven: Forums and blogs can be edited by anyone, and that is why they aren't adequate to be used as reliable sources per WP:BLOG. Some social media posts can be used, however, as proper sources, and this is further explained at WP:SOCIALMEDIA. CycloneYoris talk! 05:13, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

CaseOh article deletion proposal
Hello. I’ve come here on your talk page because the caseoh article has a deletion proposal to it. I think it should stay up because it provides information about Caseohs career, including an extra info box on the side that wasn’t there in any of the other drafts. The pages information is a repost due to the limited reliable information of Caseoh. It also has a streamer awards section; once again a section not added in the original. I did work on this article for a little bit, and I would respect if this article would stay up. Caseoh is also getting extremely popular, and most of the times popular streamers or YouTubers get Wikipedia pages, so, caseoh would subsequently have to get his own with a bunch of information about his personal and professional info. Bennett1203 (talk) 21:58, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bennett1203: The article was tagged under WP:G4 because it was deleted at this lengthy AfD just a few weeks ago, and is therefore likely to be deleted again. I suggest creating the article via the WP:AfC process in order to overturn the consensus reached at AfD. CycloneYoris talk! 22:11, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- But how? Like I said there’s little reliable information on Caseoh. There’s nothing to do about it until the future. Also, there is a nominations and infobox (like I said earlier), which is all new information. Let’s keep it up for now, and you can or cannot remove the deletion proposal, and let’s see what happens. The page could be edited to be reliable and not go against any rules of Wikipedia. Although for now, you have the decision to remove or not remove the deletion proposal and not see what happens to the article. It’s like red pill or blue pill. Lastly, it would be weird for a twitch streamer who’s almost about to appear on the list of most-followed Twitch channels to not have a Wikipedia article associated with him.
