License tagging for File:WM 6.5 Screen.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:WM 6.5 Screen.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:06, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Windows Mobile. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Thanks for uploading File:Alexandra6.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Please clarify if you are the photographer of this image, and if not where it was sourced from. It appears as if you are uploading images to wikipedia that are sourced from other websites. Images of living persons cannot be used under any claim of fair use and if you are not the photographer or do not otherwise hold copyright on the images, they cannot be uploaded as own work. File source problem with File:RedOne.jpg

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:RedOne.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:54, 11 May 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 12:54, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:WM 6.5 Screen.jpg.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Final warning on uploading copyrighted images

[edit]

Hi, as you have not replied to my last message concerning image copyright, and continue to upload images that you do not hold the copyright on, this is a final warning. The next time you upload a copyrighted image to wikipedia as your own work you will be blocked from editing. We take copyright very seriously and blatant abuse cannot be allowed to continue. Please make sure you have read and understood all of the applicable policies that have been pointed out to you in all the warnings above and if you have any questions then ask at Media Copyright Questions or as me on my talk page before you upload anything further. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for ...see the notes above about copyright ? It is taken very seriously here and taking images off websites and claiming as yours is simply acceptable. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Blocked

[edit]

As you chose to ignore your last block and chose to upload File:Alexandra23.jpg, which is clearly taken from elsewhere, I have blocked your account indefinitely. Our image copyright policies are policies just like any other, and you have consistently chosen to ignore them, so I see no reason to let you continue editing here. If you wish to appeal your block, you may do so using the {{unblock}} template. J Milburn (talk) 11:39, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
