VeraCrypt screenshot

[edit]

I intend to nominate File:VeraCrypt screenshot.png for deletion on Commons as it is derived from TrueCrypt which is non-free software released under a license incompatible with Commons' licensing requirements c:COM:L. I am notifying you here to perhaps persuade to upload locally to Wikipedia with a fair-use rationale and to give an opportunity to do so before file is removed since it's being used in articles. -- dsprc [talk] 14:47, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nepal

[edit]

Hi. Best I can tell, this was specifically an injunction to issue a visa for a particular couple. The court ordering the govt to recognize SSM does not necessarily mean the govt recognizes SSM. Sources have said that Nepal now recognizes marriages contracted abroad. Others have said SSM is now legal in Nepal. I think we should probably hold off a bit to see how this falls out. It may be that couples inside Nepal will continue to be refused marriage licenses. It's even possible that other couples married abroad will be refused visas because the injunction was not specifically for them. Actually, Nepal had already declared that foreign marriages counted as valid for residency purposes. So IMO it's too early to say how big a deal this is. — kwami (talk) 05:16, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
