A tag has been placed on EWA Bespoke Communications, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. [edit]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Ilkley. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Jorgesca (talk) 16:47, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Helpme

[edit]

please would you be able to guide me on which part of this page is self promotional so that i can resolve this immediately. I merely wanted to be informative and not self promotional. Please see the talk page for more information. I have also made many amends/deletions today in aid of keeping the page live. I beleive the client list may have flagged a 'promotional feel' but it was not intended for that purpose. Do you think this would have caused this? When i studied at Uni - EWA were part of a large case study that we all had to conduct a lot of research for, which led me to actually contact them directly in the end... i know EWA are the topic and target of a few Uni Case studies, due to their work with some clients which we have to study such as Adidas and Ford, so i wanted to make info easier to obtain. Please provide any guidance you can, thanks very much.11003488 16:07, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Jeyes-group-logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jeyes-group-logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:07, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for File:Netcars.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Netcars.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

The article EWA Bespoke Communications has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails to establish notability, no reliable sources cited

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Bimuno

[edit]

Hello Coast123,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Bimuno for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 16:25, 30 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Nomination of New Atlas for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article New Atlas is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Conflict of interest and paid editing in Wikipedia

[edit]

Hi Coast123. I work on conflict of interest issues here in Wikipedia, along with my regular editing, which is mostly about health and medicine. My attention was called to you by your editing about Clasado and related articles, and in general, your edits to date are promotional and ~look like~ those of a person who is a freelancing paid editor or someone who works for a digital marketing agency or the like. I'm giving you notice of our Conflict of Interest guideline and Terms of Use, and will have some comments and requests for you below.

Information icon Hello, Coast123. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Comments and requests

[edit]

Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you want to be involved in articles where you have a conflict of interest; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).

Disclosure is the most important, and first, step. While I am not asking you to disclose your identity (anonymity is strictly protecting by our WP:OUTING policy) would you please disclose if you have some connection with subjects about which you have edited, directly or through a third party (e.g. a PR agency or the like), and also whether you are editing for pay? You can answer how ever you wish (giving personally identifying information or not), but if there is a connection, please disclose it. After you respond (and you can just reply below), I can walk you through how the "peer review" part happens and then, if you like, I can provide you with some more general orientation as to how this place works. Please reply here, just below, to keep the discussion in one place. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 17:20, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Glowing Beauty Makeover 'After' Photo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 09:45, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Glowing Beauty Makeover 'After' Photo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Glowing Beauty Makeover 'After' Photo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and

  • You seem to represent HD Brows. You need to review WP:COI and WP:PAID(compliance with the latter is mandatory per Wikipedia's Terms of Use for company representatives/employees or other paid editors). It is a severe conflict of interest for you to be posting links to your own company as sources for article content. To be unblocked, you will need to agree to not edit about or post links regarding HD Brows, disclose the nature of your association with HD Brows, and tell what articles or topic areas you are interested in editing as you won't be permitted to continue to edit about your company. 331dot (talk) 19:51, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, I have allowed the deletion of the page I created. I have struggled to decipher why the source, being the Metro, was not credible, as they were not advertorials or paid for since they did not link back to the website or products? Is there particular sources that you do not accept as credible sources? If so, this needs to be made clear when creating a new page - those who don't use wikipedia too often might not keep up to date with this sort of thing. If you will allow me, I would like to be unblocked in order to prove that my account is not a promotional account. I will not create a new page for HD Brows as it seems no matter what I do it doesn't seem to come over as unbiased. I added links as requested to fix an orphan page issue, which was flagged as advertising though it was a relevant page about eyebrow treatments - I did not realise this would be inapproriate for me to fix, and now know it would be best for someone else editing to do so. HD Brows is a notable company (see recent talks about someone from Love Island using them in most major news outlets)and the information presented in the page was pulled from sources that I found about them, including award wins and wining an award for salon brow brand. May I also state that at no point was 'perfect for special occasions' mentioned on the page, which was mentioned in an above comment. I tried to make it not seem advertorial but it is difficult when you like a brand and want a wikipedia page for them because their website is the only other way of finding out about them! I have now re-read all the guides on creating content for wikipedia and there are a few things I have learned that I was not aware of, which would have made it come over like I was advertising. I am interested in editing articles about beauty, home and lifestyle and nature, which are my hobbies. I have no association with HD Brows - I just didn't do a great job at trying to make a page. Thanks for your consideration.11003488 10:12, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

Decline reason:

All of the articles you have had deleted so far have been about non-notable companies (in very disparate fields) and almost entirely promotional, so I don't believe a word of this "I tried not to make it advertorial, I'm just a person interested in this subject" rubbish. Everything you have produced so far here stinks of paid promotion and attempts to use Wikipedia as a free marketing platform. As such, you will not be unblocked, and to save any further waste of time here I have revoked your ability to edit this talk page. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:15, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'll just add that "I have now re-read all the guides on creating content for wikipedia and there are a few things I have learned that I was not aware of, which would have made it come over like I was advertising" is utterly implausible for someone who has been here for nine years and has been having promotional articles deleted for the entire period. Just how gullible do you think we are?

Finally: You can use WP:UTRS if you wish to make an honest unblock request. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:12, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. • Note.It seems not unlikely to me that we should have blocked this account a long time ago per WP:CORPNAME with respect to Coast Digital; one of their earlier edits was this one to Wiltshire Farm Foods which added the content: At the 2009 Franchise Marketing Awards Wiltshire Farm Foods was awarded the 'Best Online Marketing Award' collaborating with both Coast Digital and EWA Bespoke Communications The company talks about using Wikipedia for SEO -- see for example here. Coast Digital appears to be a classic black hat paid editing company. Jytdog (talk) 13:53, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    Ha, nice bit of sleuthing there. I was actually surprised this account had survived so long considering the obvious years of promotion from it even without your discovery, but that pretty much nails it. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:06, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
