Redirects and feedback on Monstercat

[edit]

Hello Clbsfn. I'm coming to you because I'd like to see if you can find anything in the redirects I've created that would warrant an article (Yes, I know you already saw Roniit.) Keep in mind existing drafts and this discussion regarding the use of some sources.

Also, I'd like to request feedback regarding my improvements to the Monstercat article. I've also been thinking of changing the Singles and Artists section to also include descriptive paragraphs (but not too descriptive) of other notable artists in Monstercat's history in case they're not present in the dropdowns, i.e. Varien, Au5, Fractal, etc. What do you think? jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 03:11, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Jd22292 - I think that adding some information on notable Monstercat artists would be an improvement over what we currently have. As for artists/songs that might warrant articles, we could consider researching Barely Alive, Ephixa, WRLD, Hellberg, HALIENE, Feel Like This, Party Don't Stop, Anywhere You Go, Lighthouse, Cold Skin, Borneo, Over the Edge, Deep In The Night, Watch Out, Get On Up, OK!, and Contemplate. Clbsfn (talk) 17:05, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Although I would have to agree with you on some of the redirects you listed, the first four I have to disagree; per discussions at WT:ALBUMS, several members saw these artists as obscure and without significant coverage as required by WP:GNG, not to mention Ephixa, WRLD, and Hellberg did not survive AfDs in the past for those reasons. I don't like risking possible speedy deletion per G4.
As for the songs, we might be able to get a few, if not all, of the listed songs Wikipedia articles, though it might be tough since they never really made it to major charts. But what I can share is that even if we haven't been using it to make articles like This Time (Kayzo song) in the past, Sergecross73 has set up convenient templates for such articles, though his template is set up for songs in the rock genre, since he's mostly editing music articles in that genre. I'm also not sure if he intended to have these templates open for anyone to use either. Best of luck with article creation anyway. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 18:20, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh sure, by all means, feel free to use any of my article templates I've created at https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Sergecross73#User_pages - I'd be happy if they were of use to someone else too. Sergecross73 msg me 19:30, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I'll start using them in my userspace. Clbsfn (talk) 20:06, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Saving Light featured article nomination

[edit]

Hey, I was wondering like to review the article Saving Light for it to hopefully become a featured article. The article previously failed it's first featured article nomination because only one person contributed to the review (which became a support in the end). the article has two supports so far (both from extended confirmed users with more than 3,500+ edits each), with an imminent third plausible. If you have any criticisms/concerns about the article, please check it's good article review, the articles talk page and/or the first featured article nomination to be sure that your concerns weren't previously stated by another user and addressed by me. However, if you do have any criticisms/concerns about the article that I haven't already said by another user, I would gladly address them and attempt to fix it. Hopefully, in the end, you would support the article and it would be promoted. If you believe that you are not qualified to review the article for it to potentially become a featured article, that is totally fine and understandable. If you are to respond, please ping me. Hello, Embryo Yall. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Everything Black".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! TheImaCow (talk) 13:53, 2 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
