This needs independent reliable sources such as reviews for the film in newspapers or websites like Screen Anarchy. Coverage that talks about the film (not necessarily reviews) is usable, but primary sources cannot show notability. Also be careful of routine database listings like IMDb as these don't show notability (IMDb isn't seen as a reliable source in general). Self-published sources should also be generally avoided since those are typically not seen as reliable. Screening in film festivals isn't a sign of notability in and of itself unless it's something wildly major like certain parts of Cannes, although it can often lead to reviews and coverage - although this isn't always a guarantee. Since this hasn't had a wide release yet and the film doesn't seem to have gained a lot of coverage via LIFF, I think that this is more of a case of the waiting game.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. You can definitely still submit films to the articles for creation process, but I didn't see where anyone made you aware of the conflict of interest guidelines. It's really vital that you read this as well as the general editing guidelines over as it's vital as a conflict of interest editor that you're aware of these things. WP:ADVENTURE is a good general overview of the editing guidelines and I'd also heavily use the WP:TEAHOUSE since the people there can help answer questions that you may have about editing.
