It's not a spam link, its a website with pertinent and relevant source material. Why do you allow my competitor flexicon, to link to wiki??? Why are you threatening my business with search engine penalizations? Cjonesy80 (talk) 22:33, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:SPAM. You should not be adding links to your business. If you have found other spam links, that is a reason to remove those, not to add more of your own. - MrOllie (talk) 22:34, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So should i delete the links of my competitors myself?

No. You should cease editing articles where you have a conflict of interest and find another platform to advertise your business and website. -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:49, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So are you going to remove the competitors link? Or they just get a pass? Cjonesy80 (talk) 22:57, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is no conflict of interest. Are you going to enforce this policy consistently? Cjonesy80 (talk) 23:03, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You are adding links to your own company which is about as conflicted as you can get. Your inability to see the blatantly obvious is precisely why our policies and guidelines regarding edits of this nature exist. You are free to edit topics as an individual, unrelated to your business, but you need to cease the link spam to your website (and related edits).-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:07, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your blatant hypocrisy in picking and choosing which businesses get to link to wiki is precisely the reason why this conversation is still happening. This is the first ever edit i did with wiki and it was brought to my attention when i saw a competitor had a link already established and getting picked up by google seo baclink tools. You are obviously inconsistent on how you choose to enforce this policy. Even though my links were 100% relevant. You are the one disregarding the obvious. Go ahead and volunteer your free time to work for wiki. The least you could be is mildly concerned abput the consistent enforcement regarding the above. ✌ Cjonesy80 (talk) 23:19, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
