[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Moonbow (DC comics), makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. PDCook (talk) 03:56, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of King Standish
[edit]A tag has been placed on King Standish requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The article King Standish has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Multiple issues: see maintenance templates.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. NJA (t/c) 14:21, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
King Standish
[edit]Hello. I saw on King Standish's talk page you needed help keeping the page up. I did my best at editing page and I would like your opinion on how it looks. Mfowler11 (talk) 04:18, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
Hey, no problem. I'm glad to help out with the article. I haven't got to read the Who's Who, maybe I can get one this year. Mfowler11 (talk) 08:05, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
The article Bug and Byte (DC Comics) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Article partially duplicates Bug (comics) and has no indication that it needs to be a separate article or a redirect

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 06:28, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Userfication
[edit]Hi Chrisburgess99, and once again welcome to Wikipedia! As we discussed on the article talk page, I have userfied your article to allow it to be developed before moving it back into the main encyclopedia. You can now access the article at User:Chrisburgess99/Bug and Byte (DC Comics). The concerns we discussed were regarding citing sources and overall cleanup to make the page visually readable. You asked some good questions - how do you create inline references to reliable sources? This is actually quite simple. To do this, you will want to use a tag like <ref>my source</ref> immediately after the content which is being cited. For example, I might write something like the following:
The sky is blue<ref>The Weatherman</ref>
Naturally "The Weatherman" is not a verifiable, reliable source because it is ambiguous -- when describing sources you should try to be very specific about what the source is. For example, for books, using an ISBN number is a good idea. To make things easier, you might look at the {{cite}} template to help you format sources, but this is not required. If you want to do this, you can check out the documentation on that page.
If you have any further questions about how to work on your article, please, feel free to ask them. We're here to help you. One of the best ways to ask for help is to place the code {{helpme}} on this page (known as your "talk page") immediately followed by a question. This immediately alerts volunteers (like myself) to help you out and you should be able to get a prompt reply to your question. Also, check the links at the top of this page for more information about Wikipedia and how you can contribute. Thanks again for your work; I look forward to seeing much more from you real soon! --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 07:45, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Editing Article
[edit]I'll see if I can find any info on them. I will do my best to save your article. Mfowler11 (talk) 09:54, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Well, I researched for over an hour and you were right, I cannot find any info about them. I don't know what I can do to help since I don't have information about them. Are they two separate characers in the DC Universe or were they always a team?
Also, I need to see the article you've created so I see what's wrong, since you said something's wrong. Mfowler11 (talk) 11:02, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
I talked with another user who placed in a user profile. The user profile is UserChrisBurgess/BUg and Byte (DC Comiccs) They have always been a team comicbookdb.com had a few appearances and no bio. The Bio I used was from the old Who's Who. I know the reference material is dated, yet it seems to be the only reference material with any information. Should I restart the article under the same name and contact you when finished to help research the article.
Hm, well I suggest that you restart the article. Make sure you put your reference as the Who's Who book since there is almost no information about Bug and Byte anywhere on the Interenet. Contact me when you're finished with the article and I'll go over your work and help out and give you pointers if anything is wrong. Mfowler11 (talk) 07:06, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
