RFCs
[edit]I would strongly encourage you not to start another RFC - for one thing the first one is still running. For another, one should generally only start a RFC that will actually resolve the ongoing dispute - and that means soliciting input from others as wording of the RFC that would settle the argument rather than dropping a 'surprise' RFC that folks will just continue arguing with and about. MrOllie (talk) 17:42, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- You're right, I got confused. I thought that the existing RFC had been sitting there for a week with little engagement (likely because it was a single sentence, so there's little to say about it), but I see that it was created today. I think I got it mixed up with an earlier proposed text. ChaseK (talk) 18:00, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- I would discourage you from reposting any RFC. This is purely a conduct issue and belongs on an administrator noticeboard with topic bans handed out. The review article that I was about to add to the page before it was protected [1] shows that there isn't even any scientific consensus that makes covering the 60 minutes report a WP:WEIGHT problem. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:36, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
