Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Sam Verzosa. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia.

Please do review WP:SYNTH. It seems you are on a crusade to expose the subject for his controversy. But we have to follow policies and Wikipedia is not a place for WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS. If no published reliable sources mentioned controversies we cannot imply a controversy exist when reliable source do not mention it at all.

Like we cannot use a perfectly neutral article 'Comelec releases list of party-list groups’ nominees for 2025 polls' from the Philippine Daily Inquirer only discussing in plain cold fact that they have published the partylist nominees list to assert that there is controversy that Versoza is using Tutok to Win Partylist that he is building a political dynasty. It is true that he is technically building a political dynasty but there is no assertion mention by the article that there is such controversy (or any of the other persons on the list at all). That is WP:SYNTH in a nutshell. So please be prudent on what additions you are adding. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 05:10, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Sam Verzosa, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted.

Also I do not have access to the DOJ resolution please provide a quotation. Example: {{cite web|quote="Insert quote here}} Hariboneagle927 (talk) 13:32, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, will comply accordingly. Thank you Channel 1915 (talk) 13:44, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Censorship

[edit]

Please stop accusing users of WP:BADFAITH. I can even point you out where to raise such issues. This is not censorship. I'm merely in the progress of paraphrasing of what you added. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 05:40, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Channel 1915 You aren't going to reply. Communication in edit summary is not idealHariboneagle927 (talk) 07:49, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Channel 1915 Go ahead, report me to the admin. You refuse to even communicate with me. Frankly the way you word the text is too much of "a word salad". You continue to assume WP:BADFAITH censorship and call my summarizing as lousy writing without pointing out.Hariboneagle927 (talk) Hariboneagle927 (talk) 13:37, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Point taken. There seems to have been a misunderstanding. I do believe some of the rephrasing and editing could do better, and that it would be fair to reflect some basic facts regarding some controversial issues in a balanced and commensurate manner. But I agree with your good intentions per the books and rules at Wiki. I will defer to your better judgments accordingly. Channel 1915 (talk) 13:43, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for finally responding, I am not the enemy here. But as I said before we can only work with the material we have. My intention is not to impose any censorship. But alas there is a lack of critical published information about the subject. If its SYSTEMICBIAS of the subject having considerable influence in the media (See WP:SBEXTERNAL) who knows. Like we do not read much about his Frontrow business on mainstream broadsheets despite the MLM being noted to be controversial in some social media circles. So I can see how my edits to make it compliant make it appear to be censorshipHariboneagle927 (talk) 13:52, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As per the Gusi Peace Award, I've asked the talk page of the relevant policy (WP Talk:No original research) for any input as well. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 13:54, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies again, just got to see your messages again. Shall definitely defer to your better judgment on the issues. Kindly just take the relevant information and context I shared into context.
Again, thank you for your kind patience, colleague! And thank you for your great service Channel 1915 (talk) 13:57, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind about the policy talk page. It was not the right place for article specific issues. But now we are at it. In my opinion, I don't think it is right to put too much weight on "ambassador" Gusi's credential controversy. as per WP:SYNTH. We are pushing a viewpoint not hinted at by the source that "Barry Gusi is not a fake diplomat" therefore "Verzosa's only award is a sham". If hypothetically a news site say Rappler made the connection then we can mention it.
I've already added the controversy to the main award article. If readers want to know more about this Gusi Peace Prize they can just click the article and read it including the controversy section which oddly doesn't mention the ambassador claim controversy before. No problem, and please don't be discouraged. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 14:05, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you again for your kind understanding and nuanced approach. Indeed, will see to it to more rigorously our rules and regulations :)
Also thank you for patiently engaging my responses. Channel 1915 (talk) 14:58, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
On the cyber-libel issue, I felt it was very necessary to emphasize the precise context of the original column/s that was met by the cyber-libel charge. Otherwise, it would have come off as essentially promoting Verzosa's side of the story. The mention of "oh this lawyer is also facing another libel charge" actually implies guilt and serial offense. Hence, extremely important to provide full context and facts.
Again thank you for your understanding Channel 1915 (talk) 14:59, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Btw, noticed there was an immediate move to another page, I had edited earlier right, immediately after our initial back-and-forth. That was a, to put it mildly, a bizarre form of "stalking"....?
Anyways, glad we have kept this professional. My initial concern was the rumor/concern that there are people "guarding" politicians' accounts, hence my initial misunderstanding of your intervention as "censorship"... Channel 1915 (talk) 16:50, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, as always, for great suggestions and edits! Goodnight, was a long long day :) Channel 1915 (talk) 16:56, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The file by the Department of Justice is only in PDF format. May I know how to upload it? Channel 1915 (talk) 12:46, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
