Hello. A tag has been placed on Dick vs Dom requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Control copyright icon Hello Casualty fan, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Ben Phillips (YouTuber) have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. CAPTAIN RAJU (✉) 17:57, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Steps live in 2017 performing on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Steps live in 2017 performing on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 01:37, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Ross Kemp: Extreme World into Ross Kemp: Extreme World (series 1) and other articles in the series. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 19:16, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have just spent some time cleaning up after some of your cut & paste moves of articles, e.g. Educating Cardiff. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Keith & Paddy Picture Show (TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ITV. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The Grand Tour (series 1)

[edit]

I have fixed several errors at The Grand Tour (series 1).[1] However, the article has not been split properly from The Grand Tour (TV series). Both articles require proper attribution per WP:CWW and there are six reference errors in the new article. List of The Grand Tour episodes also needs creation. I trust you will be fixing these issues. Please note that we don't normally split season articles out until a second season episode table for a second season can be created. --AussieLegend () 17:04, 21 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Our School (TV series)

[edit]

Hi, I'm Lineslarge. Casualty fan, thanks for creating Our School (TV series)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This article needs references for validation (very important) as well as linking to other articles and cleanup of some markup errors.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Replaceable fair use File:Matilda Ramsay.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Matilda Ramsay.jpg.

Thank you. – Train2104 (t • c) 23:21, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Creating pages

[edit]

Only create character pages if there is enough information and stuff from the actor themselves. Children's TV characters played by adults are more or less non notable to warrant a page due to the focus of on the child characters played by children, which are more or less non notable too. And please do not create excessive page titles as they just become unnecessary redirects. Grangehilllover (talk) 13:06, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Grand Tour (series 2)

[edit]

Please stop recreating The Grand Tour (series 2). There is no series one article so a series 2 article is inconsistent at best. Other than one link for a YouTube teaser, the article contains no references, As it stands, as I explained in this edit summary, the article fails WP:TVUPCOMING. By all means, open a discussion at the main series article's talk page but the article that you created should not exist now. Any episode list should be added to the main series article. Please note there is an active discussion at MOS:TV about when to split out season articles. The discussion is here. --AussieLegend () 17:43, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Grand Tour series articles

[edit]

Quite amazingly, you seem to have completely forgotten what has previously been posted here at #The Grand Tour (series 1) and #The Grand Tour (series 2). That the new series might be due to air shortly is no excuse for repeating all of the same errors that you've previously made, introducing citation errors, failing to provide proper attribution per WP:CWW and this time, creating two articles at the wrong locations. If you wish to split the main series article it needs to be done properly and, because nothing has really changed since we last went through this, it would be best to discuss this at Talk:The Grand Tour (TV series). Before doing so though, you should probably review the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Television#List of episodes - when to split where I specifically raised the issue of The Grand Tour the last time that you tried to split it. --AussieLegend () 15:00, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Ben Phillips Blows Up has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail notability, nothing found in a BEFORE. Tagged for notability since 2017

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
