Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Draft:Carlton Ubaezuonu. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 11:50, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Happy New Year to you. Thank you for reaching out. What I’ve been trying to do is recover my article that used to be on Wikipedia and was deleted/removed by somebody? I used to have one as I have been playing professional football most my career. Is there any way you can help with that? Thanks Carltonuba38 (talk) 11:57, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The article has been restored as a draft: Draft:Carlton Ubaezuonu. While in draft form, you are allowed to update it. However, before you do that, you must read the notice the Deepfriedokra posted above, including clicking all of the links and reading the material found there. You will need to also declare that you have a conflict of interest in the draft/article. (Read that link, too.) Note that you are strongly discouraged from writing about yourself. The article was previously removed because it fails out notability policies, particularly WP:SPORTCRIT. The draft should not be moved back into main article space by you or anyone else with a COI. However, you may submit it for review with the button I have placed on the draft. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:40, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your help! I actually don’t wish to write about myself, I was more curious as to why it was removed. So is it possible to get someone to edit the article or do I just leave it there and someone will eventually work on it?
Thank you Carltonuba38 (talk) 12:46, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Correct. We have rather strict notability policies. If someone takes an interest and finds enough appropriate material to update the draft so that it passes the notability check, then the draft may eventually become an article. To understand what it would take to pass the check, please read WP:SPORTCRIT. - UtherSRG (talk) 13:03, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding your email Unless containing sensitive content, it is better if all communication takes place on Wikipedia where it is in view of the Community. Thanks. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 14:16, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for letting me know. I believe he is the person that removed my article that used to be on Wikipedia. Also someone called Liz I think. I’ve reached out to both. Carltonuba38 (talk) 11:58, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
