Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited A Bridge Too Far (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Longest Day (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:04, 21 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Therichest as a reference

[edit]

Hi Captain Parmenter. I noticed that you used [1] therichest.com as a reference in Narcos. Please note that the general consensus as expressed at WP:RSN is that it does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for such information. I've gone ahead and removed it. If you disagree, let's discuss it. You may want to check WP:RSP and WP:RSN to help determine if a source is reliable. Thanks.

I also removed the old AP article, which isn't about the Narcos series. Why did you add it? --Hipal (talk) 00:53, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Moving title of rivalry page

[edit]

Hello Captain Parmenter, I would like to ask you for your reasoning towards altering the name of the Padres-Dodgers rivalry page. The rivalry is most often viewed from the Padres' direct animosity against Los Angeles, there was never any reason to change it PontiacAurora (talk) 22:24, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Global World Series requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Global World Series (2nd nomination). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 04:38, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Significa liberdade, thanks for the message! I left a note on the talk page regarding this, but I don't believe this article constitutes a repost of deleted material under WP:G4, since its subject matter is, from what I can tell, entirely different than that of the two deleted articles. The subject shares the same name, but refers to an event held in the 1950s, rather than the separate proposal made in the 2010s that was the subject of the deleted material. Ways to improve Carlos Manuel Zecca

[edit]

Hello, Captain Parmenter,

Thank you for creating Carlos Manuel Zecca.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Hi Captain Parmenter - this is just a quick note about the article Carlos Manuel Zecca. I have tagged it as needing "more references", as it looks like the article subject may pass general notability criteria but currently contains few independent sources to prove this. The Wikipedia:Notability (sports) page observes that governing sports bodies (e.g., WBSC) are not considered independent of their players (or presidents, presumably), and so WBSC sites or books may not necessarily be a reliable source to establish notability. I've done some quick internet searches to see if I can find anything else on Zecca -- there appears to be more mentions of him in Spanish-language sources (including newspapers in archives), so that's likely a good place for you or other editors to dig up more info. Best,

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Alanna the Brave}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.
