Makhama moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Makhama. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has only one poorly formatted citation and no categories. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. BoyTheKingCanDance (talk) 02:01, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to First Chechen War, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 09:00, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage concern

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guidelines. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:

Battles list

[edit]

Assalamu Alaykum i just want to remind you that the list of battles you are creating on your sandbox was deleted by admins after reaching a consensus with other editors, before it was part of Ingush list of battles but i assume you are making a Chechen list of battles (or Vainakh?). Here is the old discussion: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_wars_involving_Ingushetia

I believe the same would apply to Chechens due to most battles in that list having no RS.

"1st Arab invasion of Durdzuketia, 2nd Arab invasion of Durdzuketia, 3rd Arab invasion of Durdzuketia = Durdzuk Victory" like cmon..there is no source talking about this. Please read the article i posted above. Goddard2000 (talk) 12:13, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wa Aleykum Salam it was just a test but whatever Busulb Vash (talk) 08:02, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, i understand, i can see you're new to Wikipedia and i appreciate the articles you're creating. We just have to be more careful with information that is unsourced. Goddard2000 (talk) 18:56, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you and I will pay attention next time and if not sorry for the delay in answering Busulb Vash (talk) 18:04, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Busulb Vash, I'm afraid I don't follow. You reinstated the category and said in your edit summary: "Grigory Potemkin was a prominant figure in the North Caucasian insurgency of 1785-1791, especially since he was the cousin of Pavel Potemkin, who was the commander of the Caucasus". I also noticed you created the category in question, Category: Sheikh Mansur Movement.

Grigory Potemkin doesn't mention 'Sheikh' or 'Mansur'. Pavel is mentioned twice, in Grigory Potemkin#Commander-in-Chief ("Despite advice to the contrary, Potemkin pursued an equally defensive strategy, though in the Caucasus Generals Tekeeli and Pavel Potemkin were making some inroads") and Grigory Potemkin#Family ("His wider family included several distant cousins, among them Count Pavel Potemkin, another decorated military figure, whose brother Mikhail married Potemkin's niece Tatiana Engelhardt.)

The goal of a category is to help organize articles. What does that category actually do? The category title 'Sheikh Mansur Movement' is vague, how does Potemkin actually come into play? There is no Sheikh Mansur Movement and Sheikh Mansur doesn't mention a movement of any kind either. As far as I can tell from the article about Potemkin, he has nothing to do with it regardless. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 20:05, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Siege of Kizlyar (July 1785), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Laks. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:07, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Concerns

[edit]

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmattulahi wa barakatuh @Busulb Vash. I strongly suggest adhering to the rule of WP:RS as some of your articles about Sheikh Mansur Movement mostly rely on unreliable sources whose authors are usually not even historians. For instance, Abuzar Aydamirov and Aladdin Musaev are writers, not historians. Could you also show the reliability of Burak Oztas whom you refer in the article? I can hardly find information about him. Best regards, WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 16:09, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wa Alaykum Salam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh!
Really sorry about the issue, but I needed to bring this article out as soon as possible due to a category being about to be deleted and alot of red links in other articles related to this one. I'll fix this as soon as possible Insha Allah but it will take some time. Busulb Vash (talk) 18:23, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
