Why do my edits to various different articles keep being removed? Buffy227 (talk) 19:08, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

you appear to be adding text into the opening paragraphs of articles (the ledes) without any sense of the importance of the text or its appropriate position in the article. New text should generally fit into the bulk of the article, not the lede and it should be supported by an appropriate reliable and independent reference. Later on, if it is deemed a significant issue, it may be summarised in the text where it can stand without a reference . Hope that this helps. You may also want to look at the history of the articles (click on "History" and see the comments of other editors who have reverted your additions.  Velella  Velella Talk   19:20, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits have been reverted and it has been explained to you before (both in the edit summaries on John Quincy Adams and right here on your talk page)...trivia information like is not necessary in the already long lede (intro). This trivia info is already mentioned in the main body of the article. Rather than edit-warring if you disagree, why don't you start a discussion on whether it should be included in the article's talk page? Bennv3771 (talk) 03:00, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
