Todd Scott

It probably isn't a good idea to move an existing article out of the way and then reuse the name for a new article. It may be obvious to you that the New Zealander is the primary use of the name, and the American footballer isn't, but the matter should really be discussed first.

I'm not suggesting you reverse the move, but in a future such case, create your new article with a disambiguated name, and add a hatnote to the first article pointing to it. Then create a requested move discussion for the first article. In some cases, the outcome will be that the original title becomes a disambiguation page.

There are a number of links to Todd Scott which should go to Todd Scott (American football player). Would you mind cleaning them up?-gadfium 19:25, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
